Maybe a family member just got seriously injured or killed? Physical or sexual assault? Criminal charges to somebody he cares about? There's a world of things it could be. My brother ended up going from being fine to having some virus destroy his heart in a matter of days and ended up stuck in hospitals for a year waiting for a transplant. He had a wedding scheduled that year (his evil ex wife made him go through with it too) Sadly, life doesn't give two f***s about anyone's schedules and does terrible things at the worst times.

I really hope he doesn't have to carry extra emotional weight on his shoulders into the playoffs. Wishing his family the best regardless.
