Barkley has earned a decent amount in his time in nfl so money alone likely isn't gonna entice him and his skillset is not a starting qb really or he'd already have secured a spot with the utter lack of qb talent that was in the NFL when he got drafted. That low level of talent for starting qb has risen somewhat but still not sufficient to fill the backup and vet roles in wb rooms with options better than Barkley. He's also likely on a team friendly salary. I also believe there is nothing preventing a team of giving some sort of signing bonus to a player they put on the PS. So Bills could send a lil bonus his way to offset the money differences.

And really let's say he was allowed to play as the investigation goes forward. He has to try to play his best while dealing with that type of stress in his personal life. It is entirely possible the Bills have told Araiza he will be welcomed back via PS onext the legal issues are resolved. Until they get resolved there's no sense in signing him to the PS because that would just give the lawyers a media audience and that just makes everything worse.

The Bills could sign him to the PS if he was cleared of any possible criminal charges. And with no criminal charges against Araiza but possibly some conviction of one or more of the other players may prevent a civil verdict for the accuser and they may find there wasn't enough proof Araiz as had any liability in her gaming rape which may indeed have occurred but was perpetrated by other people that were at the residence. For all we know the other named players may have exonerated Araiza as well as the sex she performed with Araiza took place outside by all reports I read and perhaps there was a lot of video footage obtained from neighbors with some partial views of where Araiza and the victim hooked up. Maybe there's video evidence th a Araqiza never entered the house but is seen leaving entirely. Plus If your trying to establish yourself as a top athlete in the NFL you don't need all the stress of this legal issue impacting on your performance.

Also none of us knows Araiza and there's not been any onslaught of character witnesses for or against his character. I have no idea if he's always been a player with the girls as a star athlete he may have a sense of entitlement that led to his current situation. By the same token the character of the accuser also must be investigated. Any serious allegations require thorough vetting of the character of parties on both sides.

This isn't a statement about if they think he's innocent or guilty. This is the best thing for all parties. Bills have no reason to be involved in his legal issues. He is either innocent of guilty and likely there's maybe a bit of both considering there's alot of conflicting claims out there over what are facts. He needs to focus his attention on clearing his name as best he can if he is innocent. If he is innocent he shouldn't be trying to juggle learning to play at the nfl level and trying to prove his innocence. If he's guilty then I'm glad his chance is being revoked and I'd expect most decent people would agree. If the facts clear him and prove he's innocent he can then sign with any team and resume his career. If he's innocent and they just used his fame as a NFL rookie to bring enough bad press to try to get a cash settlement. It would be justice if there were no money to squeeze Araiza for and could make it easier for his team to defend him with facts and not have to fight the claims he's being protected by the big money nfl just because he' s good at punting. If he was still on the Bills there's no way he'd be able to keep his mind on playing to his best potential and to be focused on clearing his name of the accusations which still may have criminal charges pending the results of the criminal investigation and processing of the rape kits. I hope the truth does come out whatever it is so that all parties get justice in this matter. Anyone that has no personal ties to any of the parties involved should want the truth no matter which way it leads as the resolution to this matter.

Yes rapes are under reported and one big reason is the victim and accused of trying to ruin a innocent man life for whatever reasoning they can make look plausible. Doesn't give accusers a free ride and we believe them on their words alone. Social media can help change the stigma but they also should stay out of making any judgements.
