Not silly at all. I had imagined that was a possible reason as well. There's a reason that there is a genre of movies called spaghetti westerns. Italian western films were popular I imagine because Italians found them interesting. I also thought you may have decided you'd attend a game in person and that could have narrowed your short list to east coast teams to limit the miles needed to fly to that teams location in that future visit. As far as animal mascots go I see the Bills Bison as a particularly .good fit as a mascot of a football team. I think next would be the Rams due to seeing nature documentaries of rams butting heads is close to what we see with the ol--dl battles in football. A stampede of Bisons could be a well designed sweep with good blocking. Poor Miami.--- their mascot only brings up images to mind of a fish looking mammal balancing a ball on its nose while chattering incessantly ala Flipper a TV show popular in the late 60s on American TV about a dolphin. When you really think about it most of the teams with animal mascots aren't particularly fitting to depict the characteristics you expect for a football team. That the Bison is also known as a Buffalo just makes it the perfect mascot for the Bills.

Curious what made you choose the Bills as the team to cheer for. You stated you started watching in 1989 that means the Bills loss to the Browns when Jim Kelly's pass was intercepted in the end zone with 9 seconds left. Did you prefer the Bills uniform colors over the other teams xou got to watch in that year's playoff or was something else the reason you decided Buffalo was the team to be your nfl team?

I don't really follow baseball but weren't the Astros the team that was caught cheating stealing signals to the pitcher? Just makes the comparison apt.

I'm sure Fraizer has a big input as to what traits they tell the scouts they are looking for in players for the type of defense they are trying to craft. Same goes for OC's input on what he feels would help evolve our offense. The Bills are fortunate we have solid starters on both offense defense and they all have the same goal to win as a team.

Maybe because the coaches job I'd to teach his players how to work as a unit and stop the opponents. Teaching them how to try to cheat the system by circumventing rules is not a good validation of that coaches teaching skills. It also would seem to me any worthy players would see such instructions as a coach having little faith his players could stop the opponent without taking a penalty. I can see a good coach maybe telling a guy like Miller not to sweat an Offside penalty if he thinks he can time the snap and get a quick jump into the backfield, but I don't see a highly capable coach resorting to that. Don't think our players would be such a solid unit if we had that type of coaching mindset.

Yea Tom Brady's happiness is on the bottom of things important to me.

Why is Daryl Williams Still a Free Agent?
AuntieEm replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are 32 teams in the NFL and I'd bet each one would love better quality depth players. Until there are more athletic players that choose to master oline play we gotta make due with what's available. Certainly ithere s a big demand for quality olinemen leaguewide. It would be beneficial if any elite olinemen had the knack for teaching their positions. Any that are good at the teaching aspect no doubt follow coaching paths after retirement if they choose to remain involved in football. The NFL should consider setting up some types of position specific training centers for and positions that aren't currently filled via college draft with sufficient talents. These centers could salvage dreams of athletic players who failed to be good enough at their current positions but have the abilities that could make them elite olinemen. College programs don't put in the effort to develop oline talent for NFL teams, and rightfully so. They focus on developing a winning program for their schools. -
Why is Daryl Williams Still a Free Agent?
AuntieEm replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Simple and correct answer here us he's still a free agent because he has decided he doesn't want to play pro football any longer. Just because he can play at a high level to be a capable pro player does not mean he wants to play any longer. He certainly, can earn a somewhat comparable living if he is successful at teaching the techniques that have given him success to play at the pro level. Much like Jordan Palmer who understands the game well from the x and o standpoint of the qb position and has the talent to teach that to other players while not having the desire to be playing the game himself, still manages to earn a decent amount with his qb skills without having to take the punishment that the nfl defenders bring. Andrew Luck retired once all the injuries and rehab he had to do robbed him of his love of playing the game. He certainly would command a nice franchise level qb paycheck if he decided he wanted to play again. He doesn't need the money apparently and good for him to be happy with what he has earned and decidng his health was more important than padding a bit more into his new worth. When Josh Allen decides his love of playing football doesn't warrant the toll he takes physically then I certainly want him to move on and be content with what he did accomplish in the NFL. -
A little week off humor from back in the day
AuntieEm replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
No I'm glad you didn't t because the odds of both the Bills Franchise QB lottery and the state lottery of choice you would have played hitting the top jackpots are basically not gonna happen. Plus you got way more opportunities to hit a lottery ticket than the Bills would have had if Josh Allen wasn't HIM. -
So Allen has morphed from a slow Tortuga into a stampeding Tatanka. Seems like a logical progression to me.

Bye Week Dreaming - Who would you want to face in the Super Bowl?
AuntieEm replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want 5 straight wins. Josh should be alone on top of his records. I'll be fine with Mahomes keeping the 4 str yrs of hosting the AFCCG, because KC and Buffalo keep alternating winning the 1 seed. Luckily future Allen just considers GEHA as Highmark West as his Bills teams never suffer any additional losses in that stadium. -
The Saffold Report - Week 6, Bills v. Chefs, 10/16/22
AuntieEm replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't forget he had that accident prior to training camp so had a couple bruised perhaps cracked ribs. I could see that injury lingering and affecting his play thus far. -
If Jim Kelly and the boys were suiting up I'd not like an NFCE opponent. Since we got Josh I have no problems facing any other teams certainly none in the NFC which is really bereft of any solid playoff caliber teams. AFC wins SB easily this year and likely for the next few years.

Josh Allen and the Quest for 6,000 Yards
AuntieEm replied to ArtVandalay's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's actually Allen just making his 17 game season equivalent to the previous 16 game era. -
Colin Cowherd calls Sean McDermott an offensive coach.
AuntieEm replied to AuntieEm's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't even notice that was ma lil surprised there are videos up so soon after the game that I just thought this was another one. -
Couldn't believe he thinks McDermott is an offensive coach. Must automatically assume he is as he's from the Andy Reid coaching tree.

James Cook Ad on IG: Bahaha Diggs, Davis, and others comments
AuntieEm replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills Social Media ppl should hold a team Don't Blink contest. I bet James Cook would be one of the top contenders to win it. -
KC BBQ Pits.

Indeed, so I'd hope the new stadium has a visiting lockerroom that is adequate. It should provide protection from the cold and 1 toilet for estimating 80 + men is not something overlooked it had to have been planned that way. NFL should mandate a shaded area in Miami for visiting sideline for player safety. And each stadium should be required to have adequate lockerroom areas to accommodate a visiting team suitably. Josh and the Bills defense are enough to demoralize the opponents no cheap tricks with substandard plumbing needed.

Davonte Adams should be suspended a game
AuntieEm replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lol you think the NFL is gonna pull that guys media credentials after he was pushed by an frustrated player. They probably already have a nice big figure they are willing to settle this matter as quickly and quietly as possible. They aren't gonna give the guy more reasons to sue the NFL. Don't know if they will suspend him as other angles do show how the guy just ran in front of Adams quiet suddenly. The real damage was he did appear to just walk on by after without any hesitation despite looking at the guy as he fell down. Anybody could react with a reflexive shove if someone popped up in front of them as they are walking but most people would at least help the person they knocked over up and ensure they were uninjured. I hope the guy didn't suffer any injuries, and we really won't be sure as I'm sure there will be NDA's as part of the settlements he'll receive from the Raiders and from Adams.
