  1. Right, as if any of you, given JC's magical powers, wouldn't give yourself a huge crank. I mean once you figure out you can turn water to wine, taking care of Mr Happy is the logical progression.
  2. Why does every thread about soccer have to be ruined by people coming in and saying how much soccer sucks? Oh wait, it's because soccer !@#$ing sucks.
  3. Keep it Classy Philadelphia.
  4. Just TRY to get this song out of your head.
  5. Hell yes. The Coyotes arena (Jobing.com Arena) is 2 hours from here. But, if they make the finals, the wife is aware I will be paying whatever the cost for tickets and airfare home.
  6. My facial hair growth is what most would consider pathetic. Splotchy, multi-colored. Its ugly. Pretty much imagine a 14 year old trying to grow a beard and he just let it grow way past the point of "oh my god, shave already junior". That's me. And this time of year is when it grows to its ugliest. Go Sabres.
  7. Playoff beards start tomorrow.
  8. There are mixed answers online regarding this. I paid for the season of NHL Center Ice. Some sites say I will get ALL round 1&2 games. Some say its SELECT round 1&2 games. I guess they aren't on Center Ice when they are on locally. Living in AZ, none are obviously broadcast locally (until the finals on national TV). Anyone live out of town, and have experience with Center Ice and playoff hockey? Thanks (and by the way, Saturday's game starts at 10:00am here. I haven't' have a legit reason to start drinking at 9:00am in a while! Woo Hoo!)
  9. "Log me in - Ignition" That's the program you were looking for.
  10. Touché. I was looking more a cause of death. My focus was clearly too narrow.
  11. Terrible boring night. silva is a prick, but until someone knocks his block off, he'll continue to be that way.
  12. Not to be seem insensitive, but how is that ironic? I think it would be ironic if they were on there way to commemorate the 70th year of the Air Traffic Safety commision in Poland. But I could be wrong.
  13. Netflix my friend. Netflix.
  14. Your right that tons of sites use flash. Interestingly (or maybe frighteningly ) many sites are moving to accommodate apple. Evil Steve jobs. By the way, I love the product. Just hope jobs waits more than a month to cut the price in half. And no comment on how my phone is a hotspot.
  15. I'm not an "if apple makes it, its the best" type person, but i will address these points: 1) Its not a netbook, and in fact, at the keynote, Jobs explained why its not. I don't own a netbook (my wife has a dell mini) but I now use my ipad for 95% of the things I used my laptop for (I'm typing this post from my iPad). As far as not being able to save files? MANY apps have the ability to save files, just not in a folder on the "desktop". I use Office Pro daily at work, and i currently have 22 word files saved in it. 2) I have a Motorola Droid. With an app and some work, its now a wifi hot spot. There are several phones that have this functionality built in (Verizon's version of the palm pre, for example). I will agree though, that having that capability made the iPad far more productive for me as I can now use it throughout the day at work. 3) You used Facebook apps in your argument for Flash. Enough said.
  16. And it just became the greatest device ever . I just gained root access to my moto droid on verizon. Then I installed an app that allows you to use your droid AS A WIFI HOTSPOT!! I already pay for 5g/data before any of you do gooders want to call me out. I now have full Internet on the iPad without needing wifi and without at and freaking t.
  17. It's a dream to use compared to my wife's Dell mini when talking about things it was designed for. I realize it's not a "need" item, but man is it cool.
  18. Also, has an app called "text plus". Allows you to send/receive txts to/from any phone. Tried it last night and it worked perfectly.
  19. Scott that's exactly what it's perfect for.. Surfing the net while on the couch. Netflix, however was a very nice surprise. Some of the games have better than PS2 graphics as well. The fact I can get work email is just a huge plus.
  20. Well in a complete change of mind, i wrnt and bought the ipad today.... Typing this post on it now. It is freaking awesome. No, it wont replace my laptop, but for what I do 90% of the things I do on my laptop it will work beautifully. Call me an apple fan boy, but man is this thing cool. The iworks software word processor is great, and my work uses GOOD messaging for work email and "there's an app for that". Got it at best buy. Wasn't a freak that waited in line. Walked in a 2:00pm and got it. My biggest concern was no flash, but thanks to the evil powers of apple, a lot of sites are moving to html4 just for the ipd (CNN included). Also netflix is like watching HD.. Give a better update after a few days of use..
  21. The fact that so many movies coming up are going to be in 3D makes me sad. We already have to sift through 100 movies to find a gem. Now even more crap will be thrown on the screen (sequels likely) just because it can be in 3D. Sifting through 100 will seem like the good ol' days.

  23. Well, i decided to go with the HP TM2. Only thing lacking is an internal optical drive, but I just thought about the fact that with my macbook, ive use the optical drive 4 times. Each time was on a flight to watch a DVD. I did order the TM2 (the next gen Tx2) with an external drive just in case, but the iPad truly is just a giant ipod touch. funny parody of ipad keynote address.
