Police: Traveler won't shut off iPhone, gets socked
stevestojan replied to EC-Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Oh no. It did. Caused by my iPhone's antenna. But I listened to the stewardess on the way up - the bag didn't inflate, but oxygen was still flowing - so we were all good. And yes, my iPhone became a flying missile, but I was in the bulkhead seat, so lives were spared. And I sincerely realized just how important the stewardess' instructions were and how vital paying attention was, after she handed me my 4th bloody mary. -

Would now be a bad time to upload the picture I took out the airplane window while descending into Buffalo this past week and then posted it on my Facebook the second we were low enough to catch the signal of a cell tower? I'm assuming that yes, yes it would be a bad time. Side note, it was an iPhone 4 and the picture was beautiful - minus the Buffalo part. -
Buffalo is a ghost town - the worst city ever...
stevestojan replied to BLZFAN4LIFE's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Best comment: "Buffalo this time of year IS horrible. Think Siberia with MORE snow. Downtown near the arena is pretty dull. Looks like many former Soviet cities. But if you leave downtown, as many have said, you get to see the people are pretty awesome, some of the best, plus or minus a Patrick Kane or two." Questioning the profanity filter. I took that road once.... once. -
Beer filled from bottom of cup machine

Awesome. Fastest fill without all sorts of foam. But how does it know when to stop? Just set to dispense exactly 16ozs I presume? -

Pickle juice is often the cause of my hangover as the owner of my local pub often buys us a round of "Jameson Pickles". Not complicated. A shot of Jameson followed by a shot of pickle juice. Delicious.

I've been searching apartmentreviews.com just to find a place that has decent reviews. But to be honest, an apartment is an apartment. I've lived in many, and the apartment itself isnt as important as the area and its safety. Don't get me wrong, I'm reading the reviews and they are important, but I don't need stainless steel appliances. Town Center is out of my price range. I'm looking to spend $1000/month or less, but not much less cause I don't want the ghetto. Also, I need a dog friendly apt, which is important. Can you google map this address and let me know what ya know of the area? 1020 Thousand Oaks Dr Virginia Beach, VA 23454 -
Moving to VA Beach - Need help with areas to live in

No Kids. My workplace is 1345 Perimeter Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 I will not be buying as I have no idea how long I'll be there (at least 2 years, but not 5) -
I will be moving again for work and going to Virgina Beach, VA. I will be looking for an apartment as I once again don't know how long I'll be there (I've been in Tucson, AZ for just over 15 months). That said, I am going to have VERY limited time to find a place, so I am looking for advice on what areas to AVOID and what areas are nicer. I've heard that Green Run is an area I want to avoid at all costs. Any other Tips? The reason I ask is I will likely be lining up apartments and visiting 2 or 3 while on a 2 day trip prior to moving out there. Any help is appreciated.

Nothing any of us can say will make this better but I do undeniably believe in karma. While I'm a full supporter of the body scans (even if they do nothing other than deter the random American pissed off at the government and not a highly trained terrorist) I still feel nervous that the guys loading the cargo hold are often less trained/screened than a greeter at walmart. I hope you have a good holiday anyway. And honestly PM me if you need a little loan to make up got what you lost.

How I would treat Tom Brady

You can't tackle a QB. That's a $15,000 fine. -
Are you happy with the Buffalo Bills poll
stevestojan replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Talk about being out of touch with reality. We all know this is a sport - for entertainment. It's not paying my bills (no pun intended), or a life and death scenario. So no, my overall mental well being and happiness does not rely on Fitz tossing a touchdown pass to Stevie Johnson ever again or a Lindell game winning FG. The question is, are you happy with this football team. The one that is supposed to provide this entertainment, sense of pride, etc. You self rightous ones are replying as if we are asking "Were you happy with the Movie "You've Got Mail""? (One of the worst movies of all time) and saying "Of course I'm happy. Life is good. I don't let movies get me down". This team sucks. The fact that 63% of us are happy with 3-10 and a decade+ of no post-season shows how low are bar is set. It's like audits I do ion my teams at work. When one of the supervisors goes from 20% to 50% in a given metric, and they're happy about it, I judge their level of expectations, as the goal is 80%. Keep being happy. I'm waiting for wins. -

stevestojan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those stats are useless without indexing them. For example, it would seem like Brady runs up the score because he has thrown more TD passes when up big. However, whats the denominator? Has heen simply been in that situation more than those other QBs? If so (which they don't mention), the stat is 100% meaningless. -
Are you happy with the Buffalo Bills poll
stevestojan replied to BillsObserver's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
63% yes? Holy hell. This isn't asking "are you a fan?" 63% are happy with a 3-10 team who hasn't been the the playoffs in 11 seasons because we scored some points this year? Let me remind you that 13 games in, the 3 teams we beat have a combined 10 wins. You "real fans" keep being happy with this **** team. You'll realize soon enough fandom doesn't mean blind support. -

Because he cried over a dozen times, never backed away from an interview, and couldn't just go out on a high note like John Elway.

Howard Stern sign 5-year extension with Sirius/XM
stevestojan replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You must not have cable TV. Picking up local stations with rabbit ears will definitely allow for several more museum trips. Shockingly, the $12/month for commercial free radio still allows room in my budget for other things. -
Great Career and a legacy tarnished by 2 years of being a media whore.
