Bills looking at options after snowstorm Slams region

You were a kid in '77? Why did I assume you were at least 40 then? -
Bills looking at options after snowstorm Slams region

According to my dad, there was actually very little snow fall in 77. As he tells it, the lake was frozen over, and covered with snow, and then the blizzard brought 60-70 MPH winds and some snow which blew the snow off the lake. He was stuck at work (HSBC) for 3 days as the drifts were as high as you said. He said it was 60 below with the wind chill. All of this might have built in legend over 37 years, but he said these two storms aren't comparable other than they both suck. He is currently without power in Derby, and like I said, the vodka is gone, so I'm not sure what he'll do. -

Is it irony (probably not) that the only way the Buffalo Bills can get a MNF game is because of excessive snow? Stereotype much? If it does move to Monday night, I'll be PISSED if they nationally televised it since I don't have cable and pay for online Sunday Ticket which doesn't have national games. -

Yeah, I'm down in VA, but my dad, who has lived in WNY for all of his 68 years said this is simply the most snow he's ever seen (obvious to those there). My point was more to reschedule to when it makes sense without shortening the week too much before the next game. But Tuesday Night football would give me a solid reason to have beer on Tuesday. -
The Snow Gods have spoken, Build a Dome Stadium

Why? Because figuratively being stabbed in the heart at the end of the game is no longer enough? -

So $10 an hour to shovel snow. A single hour of shoveling is a hell of a workout. I can't imagine anyone doing it for more than 3 hours straight with any effectiveness. That, and the fact that it's currenlty against the law to drive in Orchard Park means you're walking there. For $30? After taxes that's what, $23? Are times really that tough in WNY or is this just a way to wrangle up all the homeless in one place for a better census? Move the game to Monday Night, and focus on what's truly important - like the fact that my Dad, who lives in Derby, has been without Vodka for going on 12 hours now. -
Who do you WANT as the Bills coach in 2015?
stevestojan replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Without question (and without reading this thread) the answer is Marrone. He has us with a .500 record with an abortion of an OC, no OL at all, a QB who some think is past his prime, and a third and fourth string RB crew. I'm still shocked that fans don't see how incredibly well Doug has done given the tools he's been given. -

Scott pays money to keep this site running. But lately, during games, it doesn't hold up. He has zero reason to keep this site going other than to keep this distinctional group of fans in one spot. During games, the site crawls. So let me be the first to offer up $200. Who will come together and help? You know you use this site daily and server space isn't free. Starting at 200. Every penny counts. Who's in?

How Many Wins saves the Coaching staff

In fairness if you're going to play the hypothetical game, Orton would be 4-1 if either brown or mckelvin hold onto the football -
How Many Wins saves the Coaching staff

Do I need to link the schedule for the rest of the year???? Do any of you actually pay attention to the team, or just whine until the next head coach is the next Vince Lombardi? While only winning 3more games would suck, take a look at our December schedule. But yeah, !@#$ momentum, let's clean house.... Again. -
How Many Wins saves the Coaching staff

This is the best coaching staff we've had in over a decade. We don't have a QB, an Oline or starting RBs and we're in the playoff hunt. What the !@#$ is wrong with you people? -
Guess the Bills 1st play from scrimmage tonight
stevestojan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know this isn't Madden, but wouldn't a flea flicker to open the game be fun? We almost always start with a run, so let Sammy beat his man while we handoff to Brown, toss back to Orton for an 80 yard toss to Watkins. Oh, I meant 2 yards up the gut to Brown or Dixon. -
So you admit you saw him move, but since he didn't move "enough" for your liking it should have been offsides? Give it up. It was a designed play to draw the defense offside (we certainly had no play called) and we flinched. Stop being a homer. If this was exact opposite and they called offsides on the Bills, you would be in an uproar about that flinch.
-
You all think the refs didn't see that flinch???? This wasn't a standard 2nd and two run play. This was a play where every single person watching KNEW we weren't going to snap the ball. The officials were indeed staring at the linemen looking for just such a thing as it was the only way we were getting a first down. If they had called offsides, it would have been the wrong call. It was minor, but there's no scale for false starts. In that situation, the refs were actually very astute.

Oh sweet Jesus, I do not want anyone on our side who uses the term fanbois. Good riddance.

When do the phantom calls against us stop??

Each of those three calls were correct as called. -
Nice coaching, awesome job
stevestojan replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Players make mistakes. None of us are giving them free passes. But when you just punted on 4th and 1, your defense held, then you run it down their throats, WHY WOULD FOUR STRAIGHT PASSES EVER MAKE SENSE?!?!? -

You don't go for it on 4th and an inch but go for it on 4th and 10 with all timeouts and this defense? Kick the Field goal and then all you needed was FG range. I hate this team. -
