  1. For me, it's watches. Somewhat of an addiction, but I only have 6 of them, but I love each one. Smartwatches are one thing that make me want to kick baby seals. Such an insult to call them watches.
  2. Not a big current MMA fan. But at the beginning, I loved it. I watched the first 9 UFC, back when there were literally no rules other than you couldn't bite. That was the Royce "I can't believe this guy weighs 13 pounds and is destroying dudes with nothing but kicks to the kidneys and the occasional dislocated elbow" Gracie, Tank Abbott, Dan "The Beast" Severn, etc fought. It was literally blood sport. I watched Tank Abbott knock a guy out so hard he went into a seizure and then Tank turned and laughed at the guy as he was seizing up. Don't search youtube for it unless you love watching real violence. That said, boxing is dead. Even with the new rules of MMA (and I no longer watch it) it is a far superior spectator sport. I wish I was old enough to remember some of the fights you all are talking about; Ali Frazier, etc. The last pro boxing match I watched was when Tyson got hungry for an ear.
  3. Nominee for top ten smartest posts in TBD History?
  4. Just sat down at an airport bar and watching ESPN for the first time in as long as I can remember (cut the cable cord almost 2 years ago at home). "No matter what, people will always remember (Brady) for one thing - being suspended for 4 games for violating the integrity of the game after winning a Super Bowl." Has TV really gotten THIS much better since I stopped watching it? Just my luck.
  5. Goodell needs to take care of this now. Cease and desist on those attacking the guy he (presumable) hired to handle this.
  6. This is getting better and better. And I thought Brady's agent's statement would be the best part. A gofundme to pay the fine? Fans getting arrested? Fans not wanting a SUPER BOWL banner raised (lowered, in this case, I guess.) Holy sh!t. Wonderful.
  7. Yep. Before he steps foot on their grounds, both sides sign a "good faith" contract. Injury ALONE cannot cause them to back out of paying him what they would have paid him without the injury. Now, I'm sure they could have weaseled their way into finding a way to find another reason to cut a #3 overall pick, but this is the Jags, not the Pats.
  8. Yes, because just like Pats fans, I'd be denying it and enjoying the glory.
  9. You're making a whole lot of sense in this thread.
  10. Probably a stupid question, but it's the pats so anything can happen: do the four games automatically have to be the first four? Also, if he waits until just before the season to appeal, can he play while the appeal is being heard?

  12. If nothing else this solidifies the elimination of Brady from "greatest QB of all time" talks.
  13. I'd take a tainted super bowl championship.
  14. Well my thoughts on this took a 180 today.
  15. I'm not sure why everyone is surprised by the media bashing our draft. It was vanilla at best, and poor at worst. Sure, they're talking heads, but was anyone actually excited about what we did in this draft and moreover, would we be discounting these articles if everyone loved our draft?
  16. The future. I've heard about that since I was 2. I'm ready for the future to happen.
  17. Well clearly our biggest need was RB.
  18. Jake Fisher was still on the board and we went CB. I see your point but I hate that we're once again building for the future. I can't wait for the future to get here...
  19. I don't hate the player because before Jimbo said his name I'd never heard of him. I hate that once again we reached and once again we used our first pick on "BPA" rather than need.
  20. The biggest fattest offensive lineman they could find.
  21. Who the !@#$ are our scouts?
