Honest question since I of course have no way of knowing what actually happened, nor do any of us here. But since many on the right are blasting any suggestion that the sites weren’t destroyed (by judging the website that posts the story) are you believing they did completely destroy them because Hegseth said they did? Or are you just waiting for more confirmation. Aljzerra is also reporting they have not been destroyed, along with other sources. So, aside from “CNN is biased” (no s.hit) what gives you confidence that the mission was indeed accomplished?

I didn’t say YOU hate Anderson Cooper. I “know” you better than that - based on your posts here. And I would say based on that I know you fully understand the difference between calling a person garbage versus calling a gay man by a female name; stop being ridiculous. But the dozens (I stopped scrolling) of MAGAs (see: not all republicans) on Twitter currently asking what’s wrong with calling that “sodomite” or “f—“ by a female name is not made better by their “leader” calling him Allison. It’s beyond the norm that we’ve for some reason accepted of the ***** POTUS being a toddler. It’s crossed into hate. And his most extreme followers just love when their hate is seemingly justified by the highest office in the land. That’s my point.

Life advice? Here’s some for you - grab a book; there is zero chance a well read grown adult would use the phrase “candyass” in 2025. But I suppose if you’re ignorant enough to think a president’s words can’t incite violence, I shouldn’t be surprised. I did indeed think they might take a beat. But you’re right about the “honor” thing. I just know Trump said any retaliation would be met with the worst. I hope it’s just puffing of the chest and since it didn’t impact America directly, he “allows” this latest jab from Iran. And if they do attack US bases, might as well get the marker out to redraw the map of the Middle East.

He said against Israel or America. They waited less than 24 hours. I hope you’re right and he sees this as a continuation of the previous week - I truly do. I was just hoping (ignorantly, I know) that they would have taken a pause for a few days at least to not face what’s next… which is almost certainly more American involvement.

Now Iran fires missies at Israel. Regardless of what side you’re on in regards to trumps actions - and we’ve all made it clear where we individually stand on that- this is about as stupid and FAFO as you can get. I mean most us knew they would not in any way just take that hit, cry uncle, and do nothing. But watching it play out exactly how we knew it would is still something to see. Let’s just hope Trump doesn’t indeed show the destruction “like they’ve never seen” but I fear his own ego has cornered him into doing something stupid. And now that we’ve supposedly accomplished the mission of denuclearization in Iran (starting to seem like it wasn’t the resounding victory drunken Pete delayed) let those two garbage governments kill each other by way of a trillion paper cuts. But that won’t happen. So here we go again. Another forever war because Iran is doing exactly what we knew they would do. And if the reports that they moved the nuclear material before the strikes are true, we did it for… what? Hillary would have done this. Bidens handlers might have. Hegseth might be the most unqualified person in any government position - and that’s saying a lot with the current admiration (Weestlemania queen calling AI “A1” over and over as the secretary of education might beat him out by a nose, but I digress). But I’ll say picking nits over his choice of “our boys” (a commonly used phrase throughout military history) is why dems are seen as weak at times.
