That must have taken you a long time to edit.

And the chart doesn’t plummet when Biden got elected. But who am I to give my opinion and point out the obvious on that chart?

Edit: and the chart didn’t look like that with Bush. I’d bet it didn’t look like that with his dad or Reagan either. It looks like that because of Donald Trump.

I think this is sad, but I don’t think it’s surprising. Trump has indeed divided the country on levels we haven’t seen in generations. I’m not saying it justifies these poll numbers but I find some of what has happened since he took that escalator ride as embarrassing for the country. And I’m (I think) a bit more moderate. I do get very passionate about two topics, yes, but even I now see a house or truck with a giant American flag on it and for a second think “Trumper” instead of “Murca” like I used to. So if I think that, just imagine what the ones who find everything he does as evil feel.

This chart shows it isn’t just the purple haired eunuchs in my current state of CA. It’s 64% of Dems. So that includes people you know and respect. The question should be asked immediately after, “Why not?” I mean it’s pretty clear exactly when that line drops like a rock.

I guess what I’m saying is again, it’s sad. But I kinda get it.  And it’s in no way surprising.

Like I said before, the entire thing I silly (gerrymandering, that is). But no getting that toothpaste back in the tube. I think the issue with the current situation is the timing. Honest question: you see the issue - or at least see how some can have issue with it - with this not being aligned with the census and with Trump saying he deserves the 5 seats, right?

  4. At least he’s entertaining.

I mean I think he’s filth, but love it or hate it, he’s our president. Just like Biden was the right’s president even when some of the far right whackos claimed he wasn’t.

I’m just not sure of the point of starting another thread over it that doesn’t have a specific topic related to it.

I will certainly toss jabs with some Rs in already established threads; whether it’s actually decent conversations with folks like JDHillfan and B-Man or that absolute weirdo creepy geriatric BillsFanNC who spams us with his Twitter feed that before Elon bought it likely would have ended him up on a list.

But why a new thread just to call them #######s? You can do that in any established thread.

This one I can’t judge him for. I’ve stayed at the W Hotel right next door to the WH several times. There’s a rooftop bar where you can look over and see the snipers laying down up there. It’s pretty cool. But moreover, the view is incredible. Despite his litany of flaws, getting outside and catching a nice view of DC shouldn’t be one we call the orange menace out on, IMO.

You didn’t have a problem with it when they were going after Trump and his colleagues. Most leftists are traitors to this country and should be imprisoned.

Solid take! A few questions if you don’t mind.

Where should we traitors be housed? That’s an LOT of infrastructure. Do we have to wait until the prisons are built or is it strictly house arrest until that’s done? And please tell me that everyone working on that massive project will be American workers getting paid a fair wage. Will I get three squares and a cot? As this is just for democrats, and you KNOW we’re all vegan tree huggers, will the menu accommodate that dietary restriction? Can I bring my own pillow? Can my son come with me, and if so, will there be a play area? Or will he be handed off to a republican to raise him away from his traitorous parents? Since my wife is also a democrat, can we hang out in the same prison or will we swap which prison we get to have conjugal visits in?

That’s all my questions for now. But I’m sure I’ll have more.

  6. I’d pay roughly $27.50 to see a beer summit between BillsFanNC and HomeLander.

My money is on two very awkward men (one in his 70’s the other… 30s?) staring at their shoes, not knowing how to handle a real life human interaction. Probably quite a bit of social anxiety. And I guaranteed neither would talk to the other the way they type on this silly little subforum. Would be an amazing social experiment.

  7. I mean I think gerrymandering on either side by drawing shapes similar to what my 18 month old would do if you handed him a shot of whisky and a box Of crayons is - and always has been - silly.

I mean, it seems shapes similar to ones we learn in basic geometry would make sense but since not all states are shaped like Wyoming or Colorado, districting was bound to have some issues and then you bring politicians in and it becomes absurd.

Yes, in a vacuum,  the timing here yet again puts a spotlight on Trump trying to “take” seats. But leave the vacuum and it happens on both sides in blue and red states.

So we either need to have a federal law that says “rhombus is as far as we will go” or learn to live with this as a fact of life. The former will never happen so politicians LEAVING their state to stop procedure is laughable and sets a horrible precedent. I’m honestly glad Abbott is calling this bluff because when dems want to do the same thing in the future I don’t want to see the opposite happen and this storming off to stop progress become the norm.

  8. Ya know what perturbs me the most about this? The complete disregard for personal accountability.

The people who come here with the sole purpose of using the 14th as a loophole piss me off; but the left wing nuts who protest the “separation of families” piss me off more.

I do NOT agree - to be clear - with ignoring/removing the 14th. But, when a family comes here illegally either planning to start a family or worse, with the mother pregnant and with the sole purpose of the baby being born on American soil, how dare they (or mainly the far left virtue signalers) scream and yell when “families are separated.”

Folks coming here KNOW that deportations are happening by the literal truck load. So when I see protests in my own city of “ICE is tearing families apart” it pisses me off because what is the alternative? Just let folks come here and because they have a kid here the entire family is free to now stay? THEY put themselves in this position. THEY put their child in this position. If there are no consequences, when does the flood stop?

I’d love for some of my fellow dems who are so vehemently against deportations to answer this one.

Does it bother me to see videos of families being separated? Of course. Because I’m human and have empathy. But this is solely their fault. The alternative isn’t viable.

Also, you senile old bat, you know if you put the period in it, you don’t have to misspell the word. I know technology is new and scary for folks your age, however “f.uck” would be easier for people to read since you’re already skirting the rules of the message board. Dolt.

Look at you digging into the post history  when you are on the wrong - and “awful” - side of history. Thanks for the “congrats.” Hope you have a “great” Sunday. Keep defending Israel - it makes you look “awesome.”

I will donate to the international charity of your choice if you can find an instance of me “defending Bibi starving children”. Unhinged response. Your use of “ “ as part of “started it” was equally ignorant.

Why are people on your side of the political aisle (as seen here) so overwrought and dramatic whenever they are in disagreement? It’s embarrassing.

It’s a great look for you, keep being on that side of history. Great look “indeed.” Embarrassing.

It was the people that used these. Hope that clears it up for you.

So you won’t reply to ANY of the rest of my post but will instead continue to defense Ben because…. Reasons? Unreal. So because that happened in that picture, keep defending Bibi starving children. It’s a great look. Even orange man knows it needs to stop. But I love your selective quoting of the article you posted. Bravo.

What to know about Israel’s claim that UN has tons of food in Gaza that it won’t distribute

by Anthony Blair & Ronny Reyes

Israel is blaming the UN for the lack of vital food deliveries to Gaza — as harrowing video captured hundreds of desperate Palestinians swarming aid trucks over the weekend. Israel officials are hitting back at claims that they have delayed aid from coming into Gaza — sharing images of tons of aid piled up inside the Gaza Strip, which they said is just waiting to be delivered to hungry Palestinians.

Col. Abdullah Halabi, from the Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), told reporters last week that around 1,000 truckloads of aid remain undelivered “due to a lack of cooperation from the international community and international organizations.”

    https://nypost.com/2025/07/28/world-news/israel-blames-un-for-failure-of-tons-of-aid-to-reach-gaza-what-to-know/

And in the very same article:

”But, a former US aid official called Israel’s claims “disingenuous — knowingly false.”

Why didn’t you quote that part of the article?

And, “The UN has for months accused Israel of refusing to coordinate with aid workers to get food and medicine to Gazans — making it too dangerous to widely distribute aid.”

    Aaaand:

“Israel has continued to blame Hamas for diverting aid from civilians throughout the war.

However, an internal US government analysis found no evidence of systematic theft of aid supplies by the group, according to the report presented to State Department officials, which the IDF branded “biased.”

Outside of that selective quoting on your part (I assume you think most won’t click the links)  I’m wondering why drones can’t be used? They sure as ***** can be used to drop bombs. Why can’t they be used to drop pasta/beans/etc?

I don’t care who “started it.” I think Netanyahu not doing absolutely everything possible to ensure that we never have to see images of children literally starving to death puts him up there with some of the worst humans to ever live on this planet. And before I get called an anti-Semite for saying that, my son is half Jewish.
