Thanks!! My last one (the one that just passed) was named Missy at the pound. Not a bad name, I suppose, but it was the name of a close family friend (well Melissa, but everyone calls her Missy) so it was just weird to use that name. Her name ended up being Alabama (Bama for short). Nothing to do with “roll tide” or anything. My favorite movie is True Romance and the lead female character is named Alabama.

Thanks all for the awesome recommendations and just the cool discussion. Soooo. We needed up with a total 180 in the dog adoption area. While going through the different reduces/shelters we found a 2 year old male beagle named Doug (was originally from a puppy mill and that’s the name he had). We just got him yesterday! And here’s my wife’s GOAT moment. She said, and I quote: “We could make his middle name Allen for both Josh and then it’s Doug Allen, the dude that sang the national anthem that you liked.” (My wife is from Southern California and let’s just say hockey wasn’t her sport growing up). That, my friends, is marrying up.

Well this is really straightforward. But if someone could explain it like I’m 5 years old, as far as what week 18 means, that would be awesome.

UCMC just clarified that what the uncle said is incorrect and he “only” needed to be resuscitated once on the field.

I am truly impressed with the number of medical professionals, those is the field of science, and other relevant experts we have on this board. Thank you all for your unique perspectives. (re-read this and it sounded sarcastic. It’s not, I really appreciate the knowledge sharing).

Not sure if already mentioned, but Robert Kraft donated $18,000 to his gofundme. Matt Stafford $12k, Russell Wilson $10k, Brady $10k, and the list goes on and on.

Well this seems like a bit of truly good news.

The lack of updates are frustrating but the only people who really have any right to know are his doctors and family. But it’s still tough. Huge heartfelt props to the city of Cincinnati, the team and coach, the medical staff who raced to try to save him, and the fans who had to be disappointed about a stupid game but all seemed to realize that’s what it is - a game. I think we’ve formally solidified an already present kinship between Buffalo and Cincinnati. I just keep thinking that as much as we watch these guys absolutely dominate athletically week after week, he is only 24 ***** years old. This was just a rambling post. That’s all I got right now.

The fact that this game hasn’t been called already is gross. Even if that means we take the L.

Yeah, you’d think Dorsey would have been paying attention last week when we were 3 feet away from having two 100 yard rushers in a game, and maybe just maybe keep that going. I understand this is a completely different (see: better) defense, but today won’t be the day of 60 passes from Josh winning it for us.

As long as Frazier doesn’t resort to his standard “don’t prepare at all for defense on the first drive; it’s fun to be down by 7 early” approach, I think we have a shot.

We had to put our 15 year old dog to sleep 3 weeks ago. One of the saddest days of my life, but she lived a good long life and didn’t suffer at the end. my wife and I are looking for another rescue (spent the day at the SPCA narrowing it down). The one we will likely get tomorrow has a pound name (ie the shelter picked a name) so we can choose a name. I’d like to do something Bills/Sabres/Buffalo related that isn’t too much (like naming it “wtf Dorsey” or something too obviously bills related). other challenge is the one I think we’ll adopt is a female. ok friends, let me hear your ideas! Thanks!
