The last thing I want is the bills playing in the cold against Derrick Henry. Allen hasn't played his best in the cold. And no way our defense stops derrick Henry. They'd control the clock and the game by running right at us.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
TurfToeJam replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pro football reference lists him as having 14 pressures.... https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/von-millei guessr/6154#seasonStatsWidget Player profiler has him as having 21 pressures.... https://www.playerprofiler.com/nfl/von-miller/ Plus I think it would be better if they'd give the sack numbers/pressures /etc... as a percentage of % per play instead of per game. Cause von pretty much is sees the field only on 3rd down and passing plays. No matter which numbers you use, his numbers look bad based on how much he is paid -
Who is doing the long snapping now? I noticed the the snaps being high, which imo seem like it is affecting bass' rythem

Are officials allowed to use PED(s)? Legit question.

Jordan Poyer needs to be suspended
TurfToeJam replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer slowed down and was time for him to move on. But I don't quite understand all the talk about how Hyde was so much better than poyer. Granted, different positions, but stats paint a different picture. From ESPN.... Sorry image quality sucks. Hyde left/ Poyer right (obviously) -
I just want to say this game really made me a fan of mack hollins. The effort he puts in is awesome. Not so much catching the ball but rather all the small stuff he does. He puts in 100% effort and his enthusiasm is contagious.

Tua’s Broken Dome (now being placed on IR-out at least 4 games)
TurfToeJam replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very well written. I agree with most of it. The only part however that changes things is that he has a family. Choosing your "passion" of playing a game makes him selfish. He needs to put his wife/ children first instead of himself. He's already made plenty of $$$ to retire now and live comfortably. As for hamlin, this is actually the first time I've heard someone say there is risk of him playing. Everything I've read/heard thus far has always been that the odds of it statistically happening to him again are very low. -
Actually my degree is in mechanical engineering. But ok. Point out where I'm wrong please.

If Brian Daboll gets fired, would you take him as OC?
TurfToeJam replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dabill was successful here because Josh was allowed to be a runner. He'd be a bad fit now since Josh is on a tight leash now. -
I stopped watching once kay left (side note: wish she never changed her look)

Yep. That's why I posted about how next gen stats is pretty accurate as it uses sensors to triangulate the speed. It takes into account the direction of the runner to provide a pretty accurate instantaneous speed. I'm a mech engineer and it's been tough reading a lot of this, lol. Just cause he lost the long drag race doesn't mean he didn't have the highest speed at some point.
-
I think this whole thread could be said as: Keon may be fast and have a high top speed. But he may not be able to maintain top speed over long distances. He may have incredible burst acceleration or maybe great ability to change directions or etc etc... Just cause he doesn't have the ability to outrun other players over long distances (live mvs) doesn't mean he is slow not that he can't succeed in NFL. Best real world example: a 1/4 mile car drag race. The winner of the drag race often is not the car who achieved the highest top speed.

The next gen stats use sensors which I believe take into account the player's speed with direction. Quite accurate. https://operations.nfl.com/gameday/technology/nfl-next-gen-stats/

Thank you jets for not utilizing breece hall more. Much appreciated. -
Should the Bills trust that Tyler Bass will return to form?
TurfToeJam replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He removed it tonight? He had wore the eye black under one eye as attribute to his grandmother. -
And they don't have to play back because they don't fear the long pass play because that bizarrely is Allen's weakness. And as soon as bills stopped utilizing Allen as a runner teams minimized spying Allen which made things even more worse.
-
Has it been confirmed the chain of events at the end of the Houston game? Possibilities: 1)McDermott told Brady what to do 2) McDermott had no contact and Brady called those plays 3) Communications breakdown between McDermott/ Brady 4)Allen went rogue (not thinking clearly =>concussion (?))
-
But he didn't. I think fans are just frustrated that Allen's talent is being wasted. (Poor coaching/ lack of supporting talent)

Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
TurfToeJam replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That structure only works if the owner plays an intimate role holding the gm/h.c. accountable or has someone to do it for him/her. -
10/6/2024 - Bills at Texans post game thread.
TurfToeJam replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen seems to have zero chemistry with the receivers. Also true that the receivers are not really getting separation (with exception of mack hollins, amazingly). Defenses don't even fear Allen's long passes anymore. They know Allen will just overthrow it. The timing is way off. Allen desperately needs a legit wr1 which Allen can focus on to build that chemistry and trust. -
Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
TurfToeJam replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of hierarchy up top in this organization. I don't think beane could fire mcd even if he wanted to. McD might actually be higher up than Beane is. We need structure and a gm who can and will hold coaches accountable. (Just like coaches hold players accountable) -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
TurfToeJam replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The comment by the tv announcer during the game really stood out to me. So Allen had say in which wide receiver the bills would draft? If true that's not good. Leave that job to guys who study film for a living.
