A LB from Navy named Diego Fagot is available
It's a given that he's one tough MF.

Man, I hate this draft production more than any before. Way, over-produced, way too slow.

RJs last game.
Today, I spoke to my brother who moved to Florida 30 years ago. He hasn't followed the Sabres since he left, but when I mentioned that tonight was the last game of the season and their play-by-play guy was retiring after 51 years (assuming he'd long ago forgot who that was), this is what he said:
"Rick Jeanneret!! Oh, wow! I remember when we were kids and used to lay in bed at night and listen to the Sabres games when they played on the road against the Canucks, California Golden Seals or the LA Kings. Rick made those games so exciting! I loved how we listened to him in the dark in our little bedroom."
It really hit home. How much he means to so many people and the memories that evokes.

In these scenarios you have the Bills trading out of the second round just so they can get back a 4th round pick-that doesnt make any sense to me
The ROUND number isn't important. That's just a numeric thing. It's the draft SPOT they pick in that's important.
Dropping four spots in the 49ers scenario gets back approximately the same 4th round pick thay gave away last night (#134 vs #130). Moving down four spots is very doable, IMO. Dropping 7 and 10 gets you a much better fourth round pick than they originally had (#116 or #112 vs #130).

I've been running through a bunch of trade scenarios and it doesn't seem that hard to recoup the 4th round pick the Bills gave up yesterday (assuming they find a willing trade partner). For example:
1.) Trade with 49ers: Drop down 4 spots in round 2. Bills trade #57 (330 points), receive #61 and #134 (331 points)
2.) Trade with Broncos: Drop down 7 spots in round 2. Bills trade #57 (330 points), receive #64 and #116 (332 points)
3.) Trade with Giants: Drop down 10 spots in round 2. Bills trade #57 (330 points), receive #67 and #112 (325 points)
I hope Beane is thinking about / working the phones on this kind of wheeling and dealing.

Not impressed with KC's picks. Especially Karlaftis, who's got meh upside IMO.

Strange pick for the Pats. He's was a late-second or third rounder based on everything I saw.

The Packers use their 2 1st rounders to pick an off the ball LB and a DT with character concerns. Brian Gutekunst must really REALLY hate Aaron Rodgers.
I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

Good, solid pick. A great upgrade from Wallace.

Baltimore continues to excel at the draft. Getting pick #23 as well.

Not much at all considering how far they moved. In fact, I think Minnesota got screwed.
Minny's new GM is a complete analytics guy who's got very little football background. There was a story the other day in the Minneapolis newspaper that he actually went out on a scouting trip to see a prospect--like it was a revolutionary thing to do! LOL.

What about Beane and McDermott being here for 5 years with next to zero leaked information gives you an idea that vibes and gossips goes around in the building?
Being an insider, in a different organization, I can promise you that what you’re describing doesn’t happen like you’re describing it.
I'm not talking about leaks.
I'm talking about workplace dynamics, player observations, coaching staff remarks, criticism, praise, etc. That gets picked up in any work environment, including locker rooms.
Employees know when management favors/trusts certain individuals, when they don't have much confidence in someone, when the time to start working on their resume is near. Wallace probably knows McD wants an upgrade at his position--and this draft was probably going to bring in his replacement.
Better to go somewhere else where the new team dosn't (yet) see all the warts and birthmarks, rather than sticking around and having a high probability of getting benched or cut.
