  1. I think it could go either way. No doubt Lamar would trade all MVPs for one SB MVP.
  2. Lol. Lamar needs to do something in the playoffs to earn that comparison.
  3. I definitely wouldn't say the league always gets what it wants.
  4. I could say similar things about many Bills fans. A large portion of the online fanbase talks about a 15-1 team like they're nothing. I've seen numerous posters say they're not even worried about KC. Allen is clearly superior to Mahomes and "everybody knows it," Bills would've beaten KC easily last year if not for injuries, etc etc. Many predicted a 20+ point win before the divisional game. Can't imagine what those people would be saying if the roles were reversed and it was the Bills with 6 straight AFCC appearances and 3 SB wins. That said, I think it's silly to generalize a large group of people based on a few loud voices.
  5. Honestly, I don't know who I'd want to emerge from a potential Buffalo-Baltimore matchup. I think Baltimore's better than a lot of people give them credit for. They seem really balanced right now. They'll be a problem for anybody. That said, Lamar never seems to get it done in the playoffs.
  6. I'd say Buffalo's skill players are definitely better overall. Remember that MVS was cut from this Bills team after doing zilch. Their tackles are better too. I don't think the '22 Chiefs roster was that skilled. Kelce had a great year, but the rest of the skill players were mediocre. And the defense was average at best because it was very green and inexperienced. I think Bienemy had an underrated impact. The offense immediately took a step back when he was replaced by Nagy.
  7. Meh....mostly a stats award and the other three had better stats this year. I think I read that Bo Nix rec'd more fan votes though. Now that's a clown show.
  8. A good gap? So what’s your prediction for Baltimore vs Bills? Assuming they both move on.
  9. They might be down a few but they’ve still had elite numbers, and they were getting a lot of pressure in this game. Which Wentz wouldn’t have handled nearly as well. He definitely wouldn’t have been able to replicate the scrambles or the rushing TD. Don’t forget that Allen went 9-30 for 131 vs Houston. Yet you think Wentz could carve them up?
  10. If they’d needed a score on the last drive, they’d have scored 30+ vs one of the top defenses. In only 9 drives. Wentz wasn’t matching that. Especially with the pressure he was facing.
  11. Many don’t know the geography or where the stadium’s located, that’s for sure.
  12. Wentz wasn’t winning this. It took a solid effort from Mahomes and two turnovers to win. Stroud’s good.
  13. Why? They carved up one of the best defenses in the league.
  14. You mean calling weak holds on KC and ignoring blatant holding on Houston scores?
  15. We know that all of Allen’s injuries were legit because…we just know. Allen might try for the academy award at every opportunity, but only Mahomes would have the audacity to fake or exaggerate an injury. 😆 Caliendo was the highest graded player on the team last week. Not sure they’re substantially weaker inside. And even an average LT is substantially better than an injured Wanya Morris.
  16. Only the LT position has been bad for KC. And Wanya Morris likely won't take another snap this year. The guy they moved to LT (Thuney) literally leads the NFL in pass block win rate. I think the OL problem (going forward) might be a little overstated.
  17. Roethlisberger once came back in the 2nd half after a high ankle sprain.
  18. Many players have played the next game after a high ankle sprain. Sometimes they’re less effective, but many have done it. Unless they were all lying for attention too.
  19. I haven't heard about this. If that's something that's unique to Allen....what's the reason for that? I don't see where people are getting the idea that KC's led anyone to believe it's a serious injury. Seems like they've almost gone out of their way to indicate the opposite. Reid even said he'd have gone back into the game if it were the playoffs. It's the media that's going crazy over this and saying they should sit him.
  20. I don't have a strong opinion for either yet. I think HFA is going to be huge this year. After toying with the ESPN Playoff Machine, I think Minnesota actually has a solid chance to steal the 1 seed in the NFC. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in the SB if that happens, but as of now I'm leaning Eagles. I think Baltimore should worry either team. Their defense has improved. Buffalo might be the better team, but they clearly don't match up well. I'm sure they'd fare better at home, but it might take 40 pts to get the W. Another thing I noticed while toying with the playoff machine is it seems like Baltimore and Buffalo are on a collision course. If KC takes the 1 seed, Baltimore will most likely be the 3. And if KC falls to the 2, Baltimore is most likely the 5. It's hard to predict what KC's going to look like. Adding Hollywood to the mix, and hopefully a better LT situation, could have a big impact. I think they'll look to involve Hopkins more and increase his snap count. And I expect Mahomes and Kelce to have a different level of focus and intensity than we sometimes see in the regular season. Defensively, I still worry about DB depth. If Watson isn't able to return, I won't feel very comfortable with being tasked to stop Allen or other top QBs. This is a tired team that needs rest. If they get the bye, and especially if they're able to rest starters in Week 18, I like their chances. If they have to go on the road again with no bye, I won't be nearly as confident. I think the plan is to start Humphries at LT. He's dealing with a minor injury but should be good to go soon. Thuney will be the "break glass when needed" option. I don't think they'll allow Morris to take any snaps in the playoffs. Hope not, anyway. I wanted KC to draft Kincaid, so I'm pretty high on him. He could be the best TE in the league soon, although Bowers might have something to say about that.
  21. On paper, Brown/Hopkins/Worthy/Smith-Schuster is much better than what they had the last few years. But that's assuming that Hollywood is in game shape and up to speed. It's hard to say what they'll do in the offseason, with Rice potentially missing half the season next year. I'm sure they'll take a look at Higgins if they can afford him.
  22. Both players are competitive and will play through pain. But you're comparing completely different injuries. If Allen had a high ankle sprain, I'm pretty sure he'd have a limp. And not one of you would accuse him of acting.
  23. I'm not sure why you'd respect flopping to draw an undeserved penalty more than limping with a high ankle sprain. You said your coaches wouldn't let you play for two weeks minimum with the same injury. Yet it's an act to show any signs of pain or hindrance? Did you limp at all after your high ankle sprain? Seems contradictory to criticize the coaching staff for playing him, while at the same time criticizing the player for showing any visible signs of pain. This is the same player who tried to re-enter the game after dislocating his knee in Denver. Is it possible that he's a fairly tough player who's highly competitive and willing to play through pain?
  24. I've seen Allen create contact with a defender and then throw himself backward like he was hit by a Mack truck. I'm not sure he'd be above "gimping around." Have you ever had a high ankle sprain? In any case, I have no idea what there is to criticize in this situation. I doubt that anyone on this board would've walked with no limp after that play. Mahomes leaves the field, tries to return, but they shut him down because they felt they had the game in hand. In postgame, Reid tells the media that he probably would've gone back in if it were a playoff game. After tests, they announce that it's a mild sprain, and Mahomes himself says it's less severe than the last ankle injury and that he plans to play. Then practices in full. Somehow, opposing fans interpret this as "hyping up" the injury.
