  1. They didn't mention it. This analysis was done prior to the All-Pro vote. The key info is that from their research, 23 of the voters were leaning towards Allen, 9 towards Jackson, 1 for Barkley and 21 unknowns. I find it hard to believe that Allen didn't get a few more votes from the unknowns.
  2. Here is an analysis that some Ravens guys did before the All Pro votes were announced. They felt it was heavily towards Allen. Here is a summary of what was discussed. - They tallied a list of 54 possible voters even though I think there is only 50. It was a combination of the voters from the last few years and who they know or have stated is a MVP voter. - They divided them into 2 categories: Those who were the older voters who would vote more traditionally and those who were younger who vote more on statistics. - They felt the younger voters would vote more on statistics and would lean towards Jackson and the traditional would lean towards Allen. - 31 out of the 54 are categorized as older/traditional voters. 23 out of the 54 are categorized as younger. - 23 out of the 31 traditional voters were leaning towards Allen with 16 outright saying they were voting for him and 7 leaning towards Allen. 9 out of the 23 were leaning towards Jackson with 6 outright saying they were voting for him and 3 leaning towards him. 1 voter said they were voting for Barkley. This leaves 21 out of the possible 54 being unknown. So unless there was a massive change in sentiment the last week or most if not all the unknown voters voted for Lamar, than Josh is most likely going to win MVP.
  3. Peter King (another MVP voter) was adamant Allen should be MVP as well. Sounds like he may have voted Lamar 1st team All Pro. https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/ Thinking Allen will have enough votes to get MVP.
  4. Allen will never win MVP. You have Bills fans on here who go out of their way to refute why he shouldn’t win it or isn’t better than other QBs. How is he ever going to convince an objective observer if some of the fans from his own team would rather put him down in the face of good reason why he should be MVP over others.
  5. The bolded is exactly why Allen doesn't get the same treatment as Mahomes. Even some Bills fans are clouded by this. If Mahomes has actually played pretty well this year outside of the last 3 weeks and Allen has been awful, then why does Allen have a higher QBR and more total touchdowns (same passing and higher rushing TDs)? Also, lets not act like the Bills receivers don't drop a ton of passes for Allen either. Allen is apparently held to a higher standard than Mahomes even though those that do this view Mahomes as better than Allen.
  6. I’m not saying it wasn’t improved. What I was responding to was the notion that the oline didn’t lose a game for us, which if it wasn’t for Allen’s maneuvering and throw, that may have been the game for us on that play and most likely the season.
  7. They sent 6 with 5 blocking and there were 3 guys in Allen’s face before he could see his feet. So what happened to the other 2 blockers?
  8. Allen is a huge reason for why the oline hasn’t lost us a single game. Just this past game, they allowed a complete jailbreak and Allen had to make an amazing throw to get the first down and get us in field goal range to win the game. If it wasn’t for Allen’s throw, he would have been sacked for a 10 yard loss.
  9. A bit of a hyperbole? A mile? There are NFL players that think Allen is better than Mahomes. Those who play the game not just fans. At their best, IMO, Allen is a step above Mahomes. Even some of Allen’s haters have agreed.
  10. The very video that is in the first post kind of refutes what you are saying that there is no debate outside of here on who is better. When Greenberg says, if Allen were to land with the Chiefs and Andy Reid, the roles would be reversed.
  11. I live in Philly and remember this well. He took over for Jim Johnson and his criticism was that he blitzed way too much and wasn't capable of making defensive adjustments as you state. This has been a staple issue for the defense this year that has left the DB's exposed causing several of the losses.
  12. You need to be at the game to understand how bad the conditions were and not to mention multiple dropped passes by the receivers. Some of the throws that Allen made were jaw-dropping (Diggs TD, throw to Davis on the sideline close to the endzone, Shakir down the sideline). That was most definitely a Superman showing by Allen.
  13. Was at the game last night. Being in person and watching it on TV, you don't appreciate how bad the conditions are. It was a ricidulous kick. What is even more ridiculous though was taking a TO to ice him when we could have used it to drive for the winning FG in the event that he made it.
  14. Don’t understand this sentiment at all. The Bills have a chance to beat any team with Josh Allen at the helm.
  15. This is interesting considering Allen had a UCL injury to his throwing arm for half the season last year and got no pass from anyone. Even many Bills fans gave him no slack for it.
  16. Can’t believe people are actually blaming Allen for this loss or getting down on him. The INT was his fault but he is the one that kept them in the game and had the lead with less than 2 mins to go. Josh missed some throws but let’s not act like he wasn’t pressured all game. The Patriots have one of if not worst offenses in the league and they went down and scored with ease with the game on the line.
  17. Watched the Chargers vs Raiders yesterday and Herbert made some very nice throws but he also threw a couple of bad ones. Also, lets not forget, the Raiders were in it until the end and could have won the game, even with Carr throwing 3 INTs and being sacked a bunch. Chargers should have blown out the Raiders but almost gave it up. Chargers and Herbert are a level beneath Allen/Bills and Mahomes/Chiefs.
  18. Herbert is a star and deserves a lot of love but at this point is a bit overrated by some (Schefter once said he was a sure-fire hall of famer). He has had a pretty stellar cast around him from the beginning and he hasn't been able to make the playoffs. His offense is also very friendly to him (a lot of dinks and dunks). I've watched a lot of Chargers games and his receivers also routinely make great plays for him (unbelievable catches) and he tends to pad his stats a bit in blowouts from both being behind and ahead.
  19. I am not sure how you can say Burrow is a better decision maker than both Allen and Mahomes. Burrow didn't play particularly well yesterday either. He should have had not just 1 but 2 ints yesterday, which were both terrible throws or decisions.
  20. Tyler Higbee needs to be included in your modern group. IMO, he is also better than Knox.
  21. You are only looking at numbers but not looking at the context behind those numbers. The numbers may show that Josh took a step back but IMO he actually didn't. He played in multiple bad weather/windy games and the offensive live was not nearly as good in 2021 as it was in 2020. Josh's postseason was not just amazing, it was one for the ages. Its an extreme shame that he isn't playing this weekend to go to the Super Bowl. I think something clicked even more for Josh in the playoffs and we are seeing him playing at even a higher level. Next season, the NFL may see something from Josh that they won't be prepared for.
  22. Foxworth who is the one that stated Josh's ceiling is higher was an Allen hater. He has seemed to come around and accepted the fact that he was wrong about Josh. Graziani has been consistent that he believes its Josh's time and that Buffalo will win the Super Bowl this year because of Josh. I agree with him. I have thought that Josh is a top 3 player in this league. I now think he is bar none the best player in the NFL.
  23. I just listened to the clip and Patrick actually says that Seattle was going to trade Wilson to the Browns and take Josh Allen not Chicago. This would make more sense.
  24. Same here. Watched Thurman growing up and would have never thought I would like someone more.
  25. I think if you look at what Josh has had to deal with (awful offensive line), Josh should have been voted in and probably deserves to start, instead of Herbert. Not to mention, Josh’s numbers are on par with Herbert’s when Josh has also sat out multiple 4th quarters due to blowouts where Herbert has had a chance to get some garbage time stats due to his team being blown out in at least 2 games that I can recall. Not saying Herbert doesn’t deserve to go to the pro bowl but he isn’t having a better season than Josh. Also, your number for Josh on interceptions is wrong. Both him and Herbert have 12.
