Chiefs v Broncos (Eagles v Cowboys page 23)
Ross Murdock replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills need to just win tomorrow. They need the East.. Seeding is meaningless. If the Bills are truly worthy, none of the WC teams should cause a concern. Hopefully a full house tomorrow. Remember that the Bills only sold 50,000 season tickets. we need another 18,000 to purchase a ticket. I'll be there. Bills aren't worthy of ANY new stadium, if the fans don't come out and support them on a huge game.. -

Good crowd at the Broncos game today. Most fans showed up, even though the games means nothing to them.. Be pathetic if the Bills upper deck is half empty tomorrow for such an important game that gives the Bills the East. I'll be there with the wife, our Bills blanket, and Wegmans Subs in section 314 Will 65,000+ be joining me..? Fingers crossed. -

The Broncos are the Bills from 2010- 2017. Just enough to give you a flicker of hope, but then they crush you with incompetence. The ONLY thing the Broncos couldn't do........... They did. This is the Bills if they didn't have Josh.. -
Jerry Hughes’ Last Regular Season Home Game?
Ross Murdock replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
For a few years Hughes was one of the few star players on the Bills, whom opposing players also respected. He was the star of our defense. His worse trait was false starts during the worst possible times. A true Bill though. I still think the Bills might keep him as a solid backup, for about $3M. If he's done, I'll remember him fondly. -
Bills vs. Jets Tickets Selling as low as $8
Ross Murdock replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your points are also valid, but I'm not sure there are many, if any other local or otherwise billionaires who would fight to keep the Bills here in Buffalo. Funny thing is that the Bills are wildly popular around the country, and world BECAUSE Buffalo is seen as a hard scrabble, underdog town where fans brave the cold to attend snow games that are becoming a rarity in the NFL. I have family in England who note the Bills are a favorite for these very reasons... Bills build a dome, and their just the Atlanta Falcons, playing in another non-descript dome where you hear the heating and air conditioning roaring between plays.. It's insidious football. Luckily the Bills will not have a dome. Maybe it's 75%/25% they stay, but I don't think it's a done deal yet. -

It's amazing how little about the NFL market the Bills fans understand. Number one, the Bills record 50,000 season tickets sold is the absolute worst in the NFL, especially since the Raiders LEFT Oakland. 85% of NFL teams (29 teams) sell out ALL of their available season tickets, and have less than 2,000 game day tickets available as mandated by league. The Bills are the ONLY team that has to sell almost 20,000 additional tickets for each game to be a sellout. Which means the Bills have additional marketing costs to keep selling game day tickets that virtually NO OTHER NFL team has! The Bills have the lowest league income from luxury and corporate boxes, and it's not even close. That is where the REAL NFL money is made, and the Bills are DEAD LAST by a mile. There's not ONE fortune 500 company in Buffalo. The Pegulas would be nuts to spend an additional $500K for a dome, when the Bills don't and will NEVER have the ability to fill the luxury/corporate boxes needed to help defray the extra cost for a dome. You people clamoring for a dome have no idea understanding how lucky we are to still have a person still considering the Buffalo market for the NFL. The Pegulas are virtually only billionaires on the planet who would be trying to keep the team here, because frankly they could make tens of millions more playing anywhere, and I mean anywhere else. Bills fans have ZERO leverage, by threatening to not attend games because it's cold outside. A Dome will NEVER make economical sense for Buffalo, and we better cross our fingers and toes that the state ponies up the nearly $1 Billion needed to keep the Bills with a beautiful new outdoor stadium here. The odds are probably 50%/50% the team stays. And even less if the Bills can't sell out a home playoff game because it's cold outside! NO other NFL city with cold weather has fans stating they won't go to playoff game because it's cold outside. Green Bay could probably sell 200,000 tickets to a Packers home game in January, when the Bills will struggle to sell 67,000. Why stay here? -
Bills vs. Jets Tickets Selling as low as $8
Ross Murdock replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Frankly if I'm the Pegula's I'd be very concerned that tickets are going for $8 bucks for a critical game that would give the Bills the AFC east crown!! Currently the forecast is for 42F with 30% chance of mixed precipitation, but according to most posters here, they wouldn't attend a game in those attention unless the team builds a dome. I wonder how many other current NFL cold weather cities fans are making similar posts? Likely ZERO. Buffalo is extremely, extremely, lucky to even have a team, and yet fans believe that they need a dome, or they won't attend games in January unless it's warm and comfy. I see the Browns are home on Sunday, they are eliminated from the playoffs, the weather is even worse, and the lowest ticket is $30. Bills fans act like they have the Pegulas over a barrel _ "If they don't build a dome, we ain't coming". If I'm the Pegulas and Sundays game isn't 100% attended, I'm wondering why am I investing in this city, when much larger, more wealthy cities, and fan bases will welcome me with open arms, and build me a swanky new stadium and not charge me a dime? Many Bills fans are already claiming they won't pay for the seat licenses. Now insisting on a Dome the city, state, and frankly fan base can't afford... Bills fans playing Russian roulette with a loaded gun. Bills have a great exciting team, most fans would die for, but in Buffalo a city with NO leverage, fans aren't interested in going to big NFL games if it's cold and snowy outside. With this attitude, soon the Buffalo local market TV team will be the Browns, when the Bills are gone. Then you can complain that the Browns need a dome. -

I didn't see ANY empty seats in Green Bay when the wind chill was -6F. Patriots game was a full capacity last week against the miserable Jags, and it was 29F with some sleet. Seahawks game was 31F and rain against the Lions and both teams stink. Full stadium. Same with Bears/Giants temps was 22F, game fully attended. NONE of those teams fans are calling for a Dome. Frankly your pathetic. You make a great case for the Bills moving ASAP. And it's still very possible they will. There's no dome coming, the state and the Pegulas can't afford the extra $500K, and would have to charge much more for tickets, which I 100% guarantee you could not afford, if you've ever attended a game which I doubt. If the Bills can't sell out a home playoff game because it's cold and snowy, Pegulas should pack up the trucks and move IMMEDIATELY!! This is NOT an NFL city if that's the case. Why should Buffalo have a team, when the population is already extremely low, local average incomes levels are horrid, there's not ONE fortune 500 company locally, the team already dead last in luxury box income. And according to you, "The fans won't come and sit out in bad weather (Crap), even for a playoff game". There's 50 other cities that would build a stadium and charge the Pegulas NOTHING, for the chance of an NFL team. When the Bills are gone, you can sit in your comfy hovel in January watching Browns games, because they will become the local NFL "Market" games for Buffalo when the Bills are gone, because they wouldn't build a dome for some pansy's. . -
The Washington Generals seems about right. Under Snyder, the team has been a laughingstock for 3 decades.

Missing Out on Top Seed Was a Blessing in Disguise
Ross Murdock replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is ridiculous of course. Allen has played good AND bad in all weather situations. The Bills are NOT going to have a Dome... period. (If they get a new stadium at all, and end up leaving, which is much more likely than getting a Dome). Allen played in Wyoming, and will need to play well in bad weather as the NFL further extends it's schedule into January. If he can't play when it's 29F with flurries, then he's in the wrong sport. I watched Aaron Rogers and the Packers play perfectly when the wind chill temperature was -12F last night. The Pack will be glad to have home field advantage throughout the NFC playoff's where like the Bills they should be at a huge advantage with the cold weather. Maybe they'll bring back the arena league for you. -
Stop the stupid Dome talk. Number one there's ZERO percent chance of that happening. More likely is the state does not come up with at least the $900K minimum the Bills require, and the team is gone.... At that point the closest team to Buffalo is the Browns. I guess you'll all be screaming that the Browns need a Dome for our new QB Mayfield??

The Bills are quietly the hottest team in the NFL
Ross Murdock replied to Hermes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen has been playing out of his mind, an absolute league superstar, but football is the ultimate team sport, and one man can't carry an NFL team through the playoff's. In the end, the Bills will pay for not improving their O-Line or the running game in the off season. Plus they have too many key players who prefer catching Covid to actually playing football. If Beans does his job in the off-season, and gets rid of the dead-wood, and malcontents, next year will be their year. That said, they could win a home playoff game before exiting, which wouldn't be a bad season all things considered. -
The Bengals have been a bipolar team all year. Hot for two games, and embarrassing the next two. They were humiliated by the Jets. The just beat a Ravens team that had a used car salesmen at QB. That said, Baker Mayfield is nothing special at QB. Mayfield has a top notch O-Line protecting him, and two of the best RB's in the league, and he's still looking like an eventual journeyman at QB, who will end up as someone's back up QB. If the Ravens get Jackson back, they'll take the division.

This has been the type of game the Bills have historically lost to the Pats. Outplay them, but we just shot ourselves in the foot enough to lose!! .... Good news in that the Chargers are losing to the Texans. If that holds, Bills could lose today and still hold the 7th spot! And keep a WC by winning out!!
