  1. To be honest I'm generally more optimistic in life ever since I had children. But when it comes to the Bills...unfortunately they are always going to be the Bills until proven otherwise. I just see this team having zero chance to beat a quality team given their current 1-5 record in such games and even the one win seems to be asterisk and SB type of game for the Bills in hindsight. I also see no evidence the Bills are even going to win the games they should the rest of the way and probably will blow it against the Falcons or Jets with a WC birth on the line because that's just what this team does historically.
  2. I'm not disagreeing about the bad calls, the Bills were screwed but that's why it also begs the question why on earth this coaching thought it was a smart move to run a low percentage fad to a smallish WR in Diggs knowing the flags weren't going their way and the Bucs were not going to essentially lose the game on that type of call. It was pretty much the Titans game all over again but this time McDermott played for OT instead of the tie.
  3. This team wasn't bad from 2014 - 2016, they just fell short by a game or two and didn't get lucky on a 4th and 15 play by Andy Dalton. Both Marrone and Rex Ryan could have easily got there and both did with other teams. People really need to stop acting like this regime are messiahs and that fans need to be in their debt or something. Yes the last 5 years have been markedly different from the previous 17 but again it's now about getting to a SB and winning one, not just making the playoffs especially as a WC team which is best case for this team.
  4. Because Belichik is going to remember McDermott's comments from after the MNF game and rub it in his face for starters (i.e. run up the score and send a message). And the Pats won't run the ball down our throat in this game, they'll do something completely different to exploit this teams weaknesses on both sides of the ball.
  5. A couple of things about the ref issue yesteday: 1) Even if some of the calls were one sided, the refs aren't the reason the Bills didn't show up in the 1st half and fell behind 24-3 early. 2) If there was truly a conspiracy for a Bucs/Pats SB you'll see it happen when it matters in the playoffs to screw other teams and ensure they keep advancing, not in the regular season to ensure they both get the #1 seed because obviously both teams are on the way to the playoffs regardless of final records this year.
  6. Yesterday's failed comeback was just fools gold. Sure this team will probably come out and beat the Panthers next week but then go into Foxboro and likely get blown off the field. Either way if it took 12 and a half games for this team to find their heart and magically start looking like the 2020 squad again that should tell you everything you need to know about them.
  7. This is what is mind boggling about this coaching staff, they keep going to this type of play over and over again and Diggs never makes a play or they think a flag is going to get called. The smart move would have been to just go with Allen on a RPO play but why do what makes sense and actually try to win the game in regulation.
  8. McCarthy won a superbowl and I don't believe that will ever happen with McDermott. He's got a great shot of getting the Cowboys to one in the next few years as well. Allen very well may be the guy that leads this team to the promised land someday but it will be with a different head coach and I'm 100% confident in that.
  9. Sooner or later Beane is going to run out of former overrated Panthers players to bring to Buffalo. But at least this is the last season we are going to see a lot of these guys in a Bills uniform.
  10. I've seen this comparison being tossed out there for a while now but it's wishful thinking and those teams didn't have to worry about going up against the GOAT HC in NFL history twice a season. The bigger comparison Bills fans should be thinking about is the crazy stat that at least one of the four teams who made the conference championship the previous season has failed to make the playoffs the next year. I believe this is happened at least 15 straight years or something like that. So out of GB/TB and KC/BUF, want to venture to guess which team is likely to be the 'lucky' one who doesn't make the playoffs this year based on current record and status?
  11. I don't believe this regime will ever lead the Bills to a SB, last year was a fluke and as close as they'll ever get when we look back in a few years. But the idea that they would have to have multiple losing seasons before change is even considered is silly. They aren't messiahs, they were simply in the right place at the right time after parity finally ran it's course after 17 long miserable years. And after signing a QB to record deal it's not about making the playoffs anymore, it's about getting to SB's and winning them now and both Beane/McDermott know this as do the Pegulas. So if this season does end without the playoffs or another one and done playoff appearance no matter what fans want to think the reality is the seat officially becomes hot for this regime entering the 2022 season.
  12. This team has lost 5 games and each time we've heard his from the players, coaches, and fans. After one or two similar losses it's one thing but if this was truly a great team they wouldn't have 5 losses because great teams find ways to wins at all costs even when they don't execute, turn the ball over etc. It's simply time to accept this is not a great team or a very good one, just a middle of the road team that might be good enough by default to get into the playoffs but nothing more.
  13. It still amazes me that some fans would suggest bringing back guys who failed miserably as starting QB in Buffalo as backups. A big no thank you.
  14. Hindsight is always 20/20 but boy would Creed Humphrey look good in a Bills uniform right now. Too bad we have a GM that is completely clueless when it comes to evaluating the trenches.
  15. Some would say this is the wrong mindset but I tend to agree 100% for a separate reason, and that's because it would increase the pressure tenfold for this coach and GM (whose seat presumably becomes hot for the first time) to make serious changes in the offseason both to the coaching staff and roster. Either way even with another playoff appearance and going one and done I think the honeymoon period is over for this regime. And if the Pegulas believe their franchise has a legit SB window open (and why wouldn't they if they signed off on giving Allen a record contract) then a loud and clear message has to be sent to Beane and McDermott in that thank you for turning things around here but time to take the next step or we will find someone else who can.
  16. One of those teams just literraly beat us less than 24 hours ago with their QB throwing 3 passes so I would obviously disagree and we are going to likely get smoked in the game in Foxboro. But at this point it's hard to imagine the Bills being big favorites again other than perhaps the Jets game. Both the Panthers and Falcons are not gimmes and either team is capable of beating the Bills and beating them decisively for that matter.
  17. Here's thing with that, and the question why are the Bills also not practicing in bad weather? Seems all the coddling, yucking it up and dancing in a comfy indoor training facility for practice does little good when you know what your up against this time of year in Buffalo. I don't have a problem either but this video looks cut and edited quite a bit (i.e. they likely took out the parts of them talking trash and laughing at the Bills and their coaching staff for winning with such a simple gameplan)
  18. Sorry if already posted but I'd say the Bills should use this as bulletin board material going forward but it probably wouldn't matter anyway. Just sad and pathetic watching these type of things over and over again especially on the Bills 'home' field:
  19. Bad teams find ways to lose and good teams find ways to win and that couldn't have been more true last night. And no matter what way some fans spin it, this isn't a roster oozing with talent that keeps having games 'stolen'. Outside of a few key players it's a marginally talented roster with an average at best coaching staff who to their credit has maximized certain areas of the team to their strengths and is woefully in over their heads in others.
  20. The Bills have played games in these type of conditions for many years now and why is it an issue for them but not the opponents who win these games? Colts are a dome team and came to Buffalo and dominated. Pats are a similar northeast weather based team and have came to Buffalo and won in bad weather games for years. The list could go on and on but I don't understand why people insist weather is and issue or reason for this teams failures when this is who the Buffalo Bills are and where they play their games.
  21. Here's a better question, how many teams with a winning record has he beat during his time here? Not many and it paints a bleak picture when you look at his year to year record in such games going back to 2017 and of course last year was the only highlight in terms of beating those type of teams.
  22. I keep seeing this comparison on here and social media if anything because I think deep down Bills mafia don't want to concede last year was a big time fluke during the weird covid year and this could very well be the beginning of another downward spiral for this franchise going into 2022 especially since we are stuck with the GM/HC/QB for the time being. But at the end of the day people need to give up this comparison for the simple fact that those late 80's/early 90's Bills teams didn't have to contend with Bill Belichik and the Patriots. If anything a more accurate comparison down the road might be these current Bills playing the role of the Marino/Shula Dolphins in that they could never get past the Bills when it mattered most especially in big division games late in the year and of course the playoffs. Either way folks need to stop grasping for straws for something that's not there and likely never will be for this franchise at present.
  23. I feel like a broken record on topics like this but Edmonds is the perfect example of the type of players this regime has drafted, particularly on defense: 1) undersized built to defend passing teams only 2) shows flashes of greatness at times but mostly invisible especially in big games 3) better suited to be playing in a 3-4 defense as an OLB pass rusher With that said don't be surprised if he ends up on a different team down the road and flourishes but he's simply not a fit for whatever defensive scheme you want to call this crap under Frazier/McD and will continue to be a liability against teams that follow the Titans/Colts/Pats gameplans against us.
  24. Yeah because a guy that barely played last year and has been cut by 3 teams already this season and currently isn't on an NFL roster is truly the missing piece.
  25. Please remember this when they are the #1 seed and hoisting the Lombardi trophy again next Feb with a rookie QB and posters on this forum are still blaming the weather among other pathetic excuses as to why the Bills are sitting home watching.
