It's really too bad that Beasely didn't have anything left and/or wanted to stay in Buffalo because you can definitely feel his absence at times this season in terms of a reliable option in the slot. Still would like to see Shakir get a closer look there down the stretch assuming this team doesn't make any moves for another WR.

Dolphins and Jets are interested in trading for Bradley Chubb
FilthyBeast replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
Won't be surprised to see Miami make a big move on the defensive side given all the injuries and issues they've had there. They are still in a very prime position to make a run regardless with Tua and that offense looking back to where they were before his injury. -
Unless this trend continues it's just a game anomaly. And considering the Jets QB and passing game is horrible there's very little chance this team gives up anything close to that output on the ground again this next week since they will literally be daring Wilson to beat them in the air.

Poyer elbow injury (update: “day-to-day”)
FilthyBeast replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's unfortunate that Poyer can't seem to stay on the field this season. But this is also why I'm 100% confident this is his last season is Buffalo. No way Beane is handing out big money to a guy safety on the wrong side of 30 that is starting to show his age in terms of durability. -
Allen’s QBR last night was 83.6
FilthyBeast replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
One bad half out of the bye week against a desperate team isn't time to raise the alarm bells yet. Now if Allen comes out next week and plays like complete trash against a decent Jets defense (and this team loses) then we have a real problem. -
Are Bills fans expectations too high????
FilthyBeast replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the expectation is/was to dominate every week including the playoffs and SB then yes (fan) expectations are way to high. This team is going to lose a regular season game again at some point and even in victory you aren't going to cruise to a 42-10 type of game every week and pull your starters in the 4th quarter. There will be tough games even against lessor opponents. This is why I'm totally fine beating a desperate GB team by 10 points despite Allen and the defense probably playing their worst game of the season thus far. -
In short, yes I think barring any serious injuries the rest of the way this team is probably still going to be the prohibitive favorite to win it all unless the Chiefs make a big time move for a defensive star and try to mimic what the Rams did last year which would also be out of character for their GM. Eagles I still don't see in the same class as the Bills (or Chiefs) even if they make another big move if anything because Hurts isn't anywhere close to JA17 or Mahomes.

I still don't understand why the Bills would want to bring in a guy like Beckham despite all of Von Millers chatter about it. And it's almost the same situation as White in that he may not even be of any real use this season coming given the nature of his injury. Best in house option right now is to end the little dirty experiment for good and see what we really have in Shakir.

Pass rusher Josh Allen getting trade interest
FilthyBeast replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
If that Jags are interested in moving a key piece like this I just hope it's not to a team like the Chiefs because that's definitely the type of move that could shift the balance of power in the AFC again. -
[Name Only Title] Kareem Hunt ??????????????????
FilthyBeast replied to Paul Costa's topic in The Stadium Wall
Moss is a true 'throw in' type of player because he's worthless and has no value. I almost hope Beane never drafts a RB again. -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks
FilthyBeast replied to wolfpack78's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is why I still expect some sort of power move on defense for the Chiefs knowing their problem is similar to Buffalo's when facing them in stopping the QB. -
Who are we going to play in the super bowl?
FilthyBeast replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hate these type of threads for jinx purposes, but if I had to guess today it's going to be someone the national media consensus don't necessarily expect because I think the NFC is wide open despite all the Eagles bandwagoning. In a weird way I would almost want to play the Cowboys again to exorcise another demon and wouldn't be shocked if they come out of the NFC. -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks
FilthyBeast replied to wolfpack78's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree but they might not be done dealing yet, still plenty of time until the trade deadline. -
Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks

4D chess by Daboll and Schoen to screw the Bills! In all seriousness though, this is a very questionable move by KC giving up that much for a guy who some have already wrote off as a bust (including the aforementioned new Giants regime obviously). -
Eagles make big move. Trade for Robert Quinn
FilthyBeast replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really a shocking move by the Eagles given the overall weakness of the current NFC landscape. Still wondering what the Chiefs are going to do to counter the Bills as well and if Veach does something out of character knowing they likely need more ammo to take overtake the Bills this year. -
I still don't think you can compare the current Bills until the 90's teams until they get at least one SB first. Those 90's teams also didn't have a boogeyman in the form of the Chiefs/Mahomes to contend with for the most part, it was the NFC powerhouse teams like 49ers/Cowboys/etc that stood in the way not just for the bills but every other AFC team that made the SB the greater part of the 80's and 90's. Either way the hype and excitement in Western NY is justified and this might very well be the Bills best chance to finally bring home a championship.

Why do some Bills fans refuse to have confidence in this team?
FilthyBeast replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not doubting this team anymore, they have proven they are among the class of the NFL. But totally understand the anxiety a lot of fans still have especially coming out of a bye week fat and possibly not staying hungry after such a great start to the year and winning in KC again. Only lingering question remains is what they do in the postseason and if they can finally beat the Chiefs when it actually matters should the scenario manifest itself again but until then this team has the inside track to the #1 seed as long as they stay on task which means not overlooking a struggling packers team on SNF. -
In some ways I want the Jets to win to keep building a false sense of confidence heading into next week. But it's really crazy to think that if both the Bills and Jets win this week, then this game will be for sole position of 1st place in the AFC East heading into November. Either way I don't see the Bills starting 0-2 in the division and I don't care what the Jets have done they simply don't have the horses or experience to win a game like this and still think they are frauds which is why they aren't favored against a 3-4 Pats team at home this week.
-
I would have a bigger issue with Knox's current lack of production if he was playing like he did his first few years and dropping a lot of passes but that hasn't really been the case. But he did deliver in a pretty big moment in KC when it mattered most and have to believe he'll become more involved in this offense sooner than later. Do think it's telling though that we chose to extend him when we did instead of Edmunds/Poyer/etc.
-
I've thought all along that we probably won't see White until sometime in November which is basically a full year removed from his injury. Also looking at the schedule in the near term, does anybody really think we need him against a struggling Packers offense in which Rogers has no one to throw to or Zack Wilson and that Jets putrid offense who just lost their best offensive player for the year? That's what I'm sure that McDermott is also factoring in as well here.

How in the hell did Nathaniel Hackett become an NFL head coach?
FilthyBeast replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because of his fathers NFL legacy and what the Packers offense looked like the last few years. I still think it's a bit premature to write him off given that Wilson looks to be finished in this league. -
Week 8: SNF Packers at Bills (-10.5) 10/30 8:20pm
FilthyBeast replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
After what the Bears did last night it shows you can never underestimate an opponent no matter how bad they might look on paper coming on. With that said, I still don't think the Packers have the horses to hang with the Bills even if Rogers and that offense finally put it all together and look similar to years past. -
Normally Belichik gets a pass as the GOAT, but I really don't understand his thought process with the QB situation right now. If Jones is not healthy there was no need to rush him back and Zappe should have been the starter and played the whole game last night which may have yielded a different result even though the Bears horrendous offense magically transformed into the Bills last night. Seems like he's truly determined to go out on a low note like Brady...
