  1. After so many years of anger, frustration and disappointment I don't really take pleasure in other teams suffering but Chiefs fanbase was definitely a little too cocky lately especially believing all the media hype regarding Mahomes being annointed the GOAT already. So hopefully this knocks them down a notch at least temporarily.
  2. This will be an interesting game and a test to see if the Bills have a let down or regression on defense. Key is obviously stopping Henry and their rushing offense, do that and should be another comfortable win and clear path to #1 seed with assumption AFC W and N will continue to knock eachother off.
  3. Brown and Groot appear to be real finds and guys that might have been drafted much higher if not for sitting out and not playing in 2020 during Covid. But it's still early and we've been deceived before but it's clear they had a vision drafting Brown even after resigning Williams who was coming off a very good year at RT and was a essentially a top 10 player at the position.
  4. I remember seeing the bills having a similar ranking in this index last year despite lagging on the actual hard sack count. But outside of the Ravens playoff game this team struggled big time including against the Chiefs against what was a horrible oline in hindsight. Also this year outside of the Miami game I just don't see the impact I thought we'd get but it's still early. If there was ever a time to show up and have a real coming out party it's this week against the Chiefs.
  5. Ironically our ST made a huge play against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship and essentially scored our only meaningful TD until garbage time. If we do hang with the Chiefs and win this game I could see Bass being the hero and making a game winning kick.
  6. Considering he's one of the main reasons I wasn't a fan of resigning Feliciano, talk about a massive break if he doesn't play this week. Still taking nothing for granted and still think spagnola will have this defense ready and come up with something to try and get in Allen's head again early in the game.
  7. I'd lean towards #1 for the simple fact that I've mentioned already, motivation. Yes you would think the Bills should be more motivated for many reasons but this reminds me a lot of the AFC Championship when even most the national media pundits and talking heads said the Bills were the better, hotter team and would win. The Chiefs specifically noted that after the game and how they wanted to send a message and their defense played their best game of the year when they were essentially not very good most of the year. This is why I see deja vu all over again even though you can argue the Chiefs defense this year doesn't have the capability to play anywhere close to what they did in the AFCCG even if they finally show up on Sunday and make Allen play a bad game again. But Andy Reid knows McD and his defense and could care less about our current standings, they will be very agressive and go for the kill shots early in the game. Long story short, the Bills need to play their best game of the season in all 3 phases to even have a chance to win this game or stay in it late.
  8. Like others mentioned, this is a Beane type of deal that's not as lavish as it looks on the surface and worth a shot on lesser know player who could be a real find.
  9. Probably someone that wasn't involved in last year's game... Star Moss (could see him having a massive game) Sanders Groot Obada (he had the best game of his career last year with the Panthers when they played the Chiefs) Etc
  10. I really think Allen needs to have one of the best games of his career even for us to have a chance to win. Everyone talks about the Bills motivation to prove they can win this type of game after two mostly non competitive games last year, but the chiefs know that despite starting 2-2 a win in this game gets them right back into the thick of the AFC West and #1 overall seed, plus they send a message to the Bills and rest of the NFL in the process just like the Pats did for so many years when everyone wanted to bury them because of a slow start to the season. And sadly that's what I see happening with the Chiefs this year, once they get their defense tweaked a bit they will go on one of those tears where they win out or go something like 11-2 the rest of the way likely getting the #1 seed like the Pats seemed to do year after year.
  11. Not shocking, especially if they just use him on 3rd/4th down situations which is what truly matters against an offense like KC. If he does play and we get a win in KC, I'd be totally fine shutting him down for the Titans game and letting him sit through the bye week to presumably be ready for the stretch run and healthy.
  12. I still don't understand how teams get away with this stuff, just like Brady apparently playing with a knee injury all last season despite winning it all again. You would think the NFL would crack down on teams for not reporting injuries. But as far as Mayfield specifically, he's one of the main reasons they blew the game in KC in week one so not sure what the goal is here other than making excuses for him still being nothing more than a glorified game manager.
  13. He was 100% healthy for the AFC Championship game and a complete non factor, but then again so was the entire defense that day.
  14. He was one of the worst players on the field against the Chiefs last year when 100% healthy in the AFC Championship. Sure he seems to be playing at an all pro level so far this year but he's not going to be the reason we win or lose this game IMO.
  15. Pretty much but he was one of the biggest non factors in the AFC Championship game anyway so can't worry about it. I think the bigger matchup to slow down Kelce comes down to Poyer and Hyde who will both be playing it looks like. I'm still scared to death about Levi Wallace playing a real NFL QB/WR's again this week, even against a guy like Josh Gordan who hasn't played in 2 years.
  16. For me it's going to have to be someone on defense making a game changing play. Would be wonderful in Edmunds could do something similar like he did last week but Mahomes is not Davis Mills unfortunately. Either way it's time for this new pash rush to show something because outside of the Miami game it's still be a major concern IMO despite the overall defense thus far.
  17. My gut feeling tells me the Chiefs are going to win and win big and also send a message with their defense magically showing just like the AFC Championship. But I'll go against that and pick the Bills in a close one for good mojo, Bass hits a game winning FG. Bills 31 Chiefs 28
  18. Here's the way I see it, by winning big games on the road in the regular season....you save yourself the trouble of having to do it in the playoffs and the Bills made no secret that the goal was to get home field throughout this year so they don't have to go to KC or another tough venue in the playoffs this year. So yes beating KC (and possibly TEN as well) would be a huge road win and essentially give the Bills a clear path to the #1 seed since a lot of the other contenders (specifically in the AFCW & AFCN) are going to be beating eachother up the rest of the way and the Bills schedule is soft on paper after the next two weeks.
  19. Unless they are being ultra cautious, Milano not practicing again today would indicate he's probably out this week against the Chiefs. But at the end of the day if we do win this game it will be more about Allen and the offense and I think Klein is capable and certainly a better pass rusher which helps.
  20. Despite the final scores the last few weeks, the pass rush has definitely not been good outside of the Miami game and this is obviously a major concern heading into the Chiefs game because if we can't get there with just the front four we won't have much chance of stopping Mahomes and winning this game. So really have to hope the veterans come through this week and it'd be the perfect for the vets like Hughes or Addision to make a big impact here.
  21. Nick Wright is salivating over the prospects of the Chiefs destroying the Bills again this week. Another reason I hope it doesn't happen because you'll never hear the end of it from this joker.
  22. Too early to know but the stakes are too high for him to sit if he's available to play even on a limited snap count. In fact what I could see happen is Milano does play this week (assuming he can practice at some capacity) even on a limited snap count, then sit next week against the Titans so he has an extended break through the bye week. Bigger issue here though is the questions about his extension and being injury prone which once again is front and center not even a month into the season just like last year.
  23. Even if Milano and some others with current injuries being monitored don't play, can't use that as an excuse and still need to take care of business. Groot popping up on the injury report is concerning though, especially if it's turf toe.

  25. Not that this should be shocking to anyone but Mahomes is undefeated in his career when facing the #1 overall defense:
