  1. Our O-line got blown up on the interior all day. Chris Jones got penetration and Frank Clark won off the edge. Our rb's could barely even get out of the backfield. On defense, Hill and Kelce were uncoverable and burned us consistently. Mahomes wasn't 100% healthy, but our defensive line still rarely pressured him. While I like the idea of continuity, I really think we need to get at least one dominant interior offensive lineman in order to take our offense to the next level. The Chiefs got better by signing Thuney, Orlando Brown, Kyle Long, and drafting Creed Humphrey, while the Bills drafted a couple developmental tackles that probably won't see the field for a couple years. We have about 10 million in cap space and hopefully there is a top guard released over the summer.
  2. There are a couple things that would concern me if this is the final depth chart: We would have no veteran backups at OT: Bobby Hart isn't a world-beater, but he is a known quantity with experience who was actually decent last season on a bad overall O-line for the Bengals. Doyle and Brown are developmental prospects and throwing them out there as an injury sub could get Josh killed. Depth at CB: 4 outside corners, one is a late-round rookie, another is a 2nd year guy who had barely any playing time last year. We really need to add a veteran cb before training camp. These are two of the most important positions in the NFL and we're one injury away from potential disaster.
  3. Anyone stay at the Red Carpet Inn just so the bed bugs have something to eat during the off-season?
  4. This is not a "simple pole" My ancestors came from Poland, so I consider myself a "simple Pole" Also, a poll with 5 answers to a yes-or-no question is not simple. But to answer the question, I think he will have fewer yards due to an improved defense and run game, and only regress slightly in terms of QBR due to the return of live crowd noise.
  5. I applaud him because that definitely took a lot of guts considering the macho culture of the NFL. There must be a lot more gay players in the league who will probably never come out. Statistically there are probably about two full NFL teams worth of gay players.
  6. Too small. According to this board we need a nose tackle who is 6-8 495 pounds
  7. I dont think anyone looked particularly good in run blocking. Maybe Feliciano when healthy.
  8. Daryl Williams doesn't get enough credit. He was lights-out in pass protection and allowed half as many sacks as Dion Dawkins. He's been our best RT since we had Jason Peters play there back in 2008
  9. Odaba is 2nd in High quality sacks per snap to Aaron Donald 👀 I really hope we keep 6 DE's active on gameday and rotate them a ton (and maybe move some guys inside in pass-rushing situations). The only way we could do that is if we have versatile backups at other positions who can step in at multiple positions. If Ryan Bates can play anywhere on the O-line in a pinch, then I don't see why we would need 9 O-linemen active.
  10. According to an American Medical Association survey, over 96% of doctors have been vaccinated for covid. That's higher than the percentage of people who believe the world is round. https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/press-releases/ama-survey-shows-over-96-doctors-fully-vaccinated-against-covid-19 The numbers you posted (58%) are for the total hospital staff, including cafeteria staff and the guy who sells balloons in the gift shop. This number is still significantly higher than the vaccination rate of general population of the US.
  11. The only reason we're able to go back to living normally is because the majority of people in the US are now vaccinated. So basically Cole wants to reap the benefits of having unmasked practices and fans in the stands and a higher salary cap without actually taking the vaccine himself because of some unfounded fear.
  12. These players are intriguing because I could see any one of them either emerging as a star or being nearly phased out and given limited snaps. Cody Ford's job as a guard is the most in danger considering the additions of Forrest Lamp, Jamil Douglas, and Jack Anderson, plus the return of Ike Boettger, Feliciano, and Bates. Then when you consider they drafted Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle to be the tackles of he future, it's tough to see Ford making the starting lineup unless he is absolutely dominant in preseason. I really like Singletary and he's great in pass protection, but I think he's most effective in a RB committee as opposed to being the lead back. Ed Oliver still has untapped potential and I think the return of Star and Phillips coming back healthy could lead to a breakout season for him. Dawson Knox can be a beast with the ball in his hands, but he drops too many easy passes and Josh is usually looking downfield instead of checking down to rb's and te's. It's no secret that the team is still trying to find an upgrade at the position. It might sound pessimistic, but I don't see any of these guys resigning with the Bills after their rookie deals are over.
  13. The only way a new stadium is worth it is if it's built downtown and gets a ton of major concerts and events year round. Enjoy the relatively inexpensive tickets while you can. We will pay for the new stadium with increased ticket and concession costs, personal seat licenses, and higher taxes. However, I think it would do wonders for Buffalo's economy and the shops and restaurants within a few miles of the stadium would thrive. Finding a parcel of land that large near downtown that also has the proper infrastructure is no easy task. With the cost of land reaching a peak right now, they may have to wait a few years for the housing market to die down or risk getting into a bidding war.
  14. The pilot: "Sir, could you please stop clapping? It's extremely distracting"
  15. I think the Titans should definitely be in that group, maybe even as high as #3. They whooped us last season and now have an elite receiver in Julio Jones to pair with AJ Brown. They also got a lot better on defense both in free agency and the draft.
  16. Hoping the Bills will release alternate Zubazz uniforms. They'll be ugly as hell, but the wavy pattern will disorient our opponents
  17. Aaron Donald or Derrick Henry. They're each the best at their position and coming off stellar seasons.
  18. And this is without their best cb Xavien Howard at practice
  19. That's a shame. He already had an uphill battle to make the final roster. If this takes him out for training camp, they should just release him early to give him a chance to stick somewhere else.
  20. I think Stafford is going to light it up with the Rams this year. The Lions are a terrible organization that never seems to be able to put together a complete roster and besides Calvin Johnson (who he only had for half of his career) Stafford hasn't had elite weapons. On the other end of the trade, I think Goff will have a terrible season, showing just how good of an offensive coordinator McVay really is.
  21. Sometimes a player just needs a change of scenery and more time to develop. It's pretty rare for a guy to have a breakout season in his 7th season. He came into the league as a quarterback and TE is a position that requires more development time in the NFL even for a guy who played the position in high school and college. With no developmental league (RIP NFL Europe) few teams have the patience to keep a guy on the roster for that long before they become an effective starter. I think his story is more of a fluke than a sign of failure by our front office. Another similar case I can think of is Lorenzo Alexander breaking out with a double-digit sack season in his 11th season in the league (the average NFL career is 2.5 years). The NFL is a win-now league and practice squad players can be poached by other teams, so developmental players are no longer worth the investment considering they will be a free agent after 4 seasons.
  22. Lee Evans. The guy could get open deep with the cb trailing him by 10 yards. Losman hit him a lot on deep routes, but he could have been the best receiver in the league if he had a top 10 quarterback.
  23. Dane Jackson He looked good in limited action last season and I think he has a legitimate chance to win the #2 spot with a solid preseason. Harrison Phillips He didn't look 100% last year after coming back from an ACL tear, but he improved as the year went on. I think he can split reps with Star and solidify our run defense. Isaiah McKenzie He has mainly been a gadget player for the Bills, but his performance against the Dolphins shows that he can contribute as a receiver. Unfortunately he got injured shortly after and was limited throughout the playoffs. He will battle rookie Marquez Stevenson and Isaiah Hodgins for a roster spot this summer, but I believe his familiarity with the offense will give him a major advantage and he will have a career year.
  24. I wouldn't call that "raving" but I think Epenesa was very close to breaking out at the end of last season. They started giving him a lot more snaps and he seemed to be one step away from getting to the qb on a number of occasions. I think giving every DE fewer snaps will keep them hungry and able to go 100% on every down.
  25. This has to be to sign a newly cut player (or a trade for Ertz) and not for a Josh Extension. This move raises Diggs' cap hit for '22 which is the year that Allen's 5th year option and/or new contract money would take effect. I believe we get one starter out of the June cuts and extend Diggs next season to continuously keep his big cap hits on the horizon.
