  1. I think if the winds are 20+ mph you have to let nature play deep safety for you. The Patriots have a strong running game and we need our safeties in the box to defend it. This game will be won or lost in the trenches.
  2. I don't remember another year with this many big upsets against the top teams. Teams that can force turnovers and run the ball have a chance to beat anyone.
  3. He wasn't listed on the inactives, but I'm not sure if players on the Covid reserve are usually listed on that.
  4. The only reason I think they don't go in that direction is because run-stuffing DT's can be gotten in free agency for a reasonable price. I think they take a versatile offensive lineman that can play guard and tackle. I bet either Feliciano or Williams gets cut this off-season.
  5. So you're saying Devin Singletary should be good for another decade then...
  6. I can't remember another year when we had this many players signed off our practice squad. I think that just shows how much depth this roster has.
  7. Considering half the time a qb is hit a flag is thrown, maybe it's not the worst thing in the world if we rush qbs but don't sack them.
  8. The Ravens play 300 lb DT Ricard as a FB so it's not that outlandish. The only problem is we have more talented rb's than ot's. I think Gilliam looked pretty good and deserves more reps.
  9. True, but last year we were pretty effective running play-action despite not having a great running game. I think the fact that we telegraph every play to the defense is allowing the opponents' defensive line to rush the passer without worrying about filling running lanes, making our mediocre offensive line look even worse than they are.
  10. There's just a shocking lack of creativity in our offense this year. Last year Daboll used pre-snap motion on a majority of plays. He used McKenzie on jet sweeps and fake jet sweeps that opened up lanes for the running backs. This year Josh is passing out of an empty backfield too often and the line can't hold up long enough for him to find a receiver deeper down the field. We barely run any play-action and the defense always knows what's coming. If Daboll can't right the ship soon, we need to be on the lookout for a new offensive coordinator.
  11. That graphic looks like it's from a PC game you get for free in a cereal box
  12. I think Morris could eventually develop into a very productive receiving tight end. It was surprising that Warring came in off the street and jumped him on the depth chart.
  13. I don't know why he hasn't cracked the lineup at some point. He can supposedly play anywhere on the line, but he never gets significant playing time.
  14. It seems like losing his RT spot to a rookie may have lit a fire under Daryl Williams. Hopefully he can keep up the improved performance with Spencer Brown banged up.
  15. The nightmare scenario is Allen and Trubisky both being put on the Covid list in the same week. At least it looks like we dodged that bullet...
  16. Last draft we took a couple OT prospects and I think we focus on the interior o-line next draft. Bates and Boettger are free agents after the season and Morse will likely be a cap casualty. We need more dynamic athletes at guard in order to facilitate a running game.
  17. Apparently someone just sued Arnette for injuries caused by a hit-and-run from last year, so this was likely targeting her. I don't think I've ever seen this many off-field problems on one team and the season's only half over.
  18. UPDATE: Ruggs now faces 46 years in prison on 5 charges "He has been charged with DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, and two counts of reckless driving, all of which are felonies. Ruggs also faces a misdemeanor charge of possessing a gun under the influence of alcohol." https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/11/05/henry-ruggs-faces-46-years-in-prison/
  19. Even though he was only in Buffalo for his first 5 seasons, Jairus Byrd is #10 on the list of Bills all-time interception leaders. He had 22 with the Bills (with 9 coming in his rookie year) but would go on to have only 3 more over the rest of his career.
  20. Nope. We drafted rb's back to back in the 3rd round so we could avoid high salaries at the position. After Josh's contract, we need to scrimp at certain positions to stay under the cap. The draft capital and money we would need to make this deal happen would be completely impractical.
  21. No, but maybe he survives the first quarter this time
  22. Over the last three seasons, JJ had 10 sacks and TJ had 37. JJ was an incredible player and a perennial DPOY candidate when healthy, but the torch has been passed.
  23. We're better off trading for a top-end guard to improve the run game
  24. I don't understand why we don't give Bredia some reps on passing downs. Instead of making 3 rb's active we insist on having McKenzie and Kumerow active (Who combined had 5 snaps vs the Titans!)
