  1. Yeah after the Superbowl I've definitely lost interest in the NFL. I probably won't go to another game for at least 6 months
  2. He gave us everything he had this season and I appreciate that, but I think father time is catching up to him. He's had a great career and has a Superbowl ring, so I think the only reason he would come back would be to win another championship or get to 10,000 yards in his career (he would need 755)
  3. I think we will do a better job of running plays out of formations that do not give away whether we are running or passing. I believe Kromer will be involved in designing this offense and that bringing in a capable #2 TE will be a priority.
  4. Our defense is built to prevent the big play over the top, but it's extremely predictable. I understand that we aren't a blitzing team, but we need to be more deceptive on defense to confuse the opposing quarterback. We may only send 4 players to rush the qb, but keep them guessing which 4 we are sending.
  5. It's crazy to think how incredible this offense would be with a dominant offensive line. They played a lot better down the stretch and seemed to gel once they put Bates at left guard, but I think we can still upgrade the interior.
  6. We may draft another rb this year, but a veteran option may be Raheem Mostert if the 49'ers don't resign him. He's coming off an injury that cost him the year and he's nearing 30, but he hasn't had that many carries in the NFL. He ran a 4.32 40 in college and averaged 5.7 ypc in the pros.
  7. We don't run enough crossing routes and we use a lot of curl routes that end up with the receiver facing the line of scrimmage, making it difficult to break away from a defender that you can't see until you turn upfield. If it's true that Toney is available from the Giants, I would make that deal for a 3rd rounder.
  8. I can understand what he's getting at. It was a bit strange to bench a starter who was just resigned in a year without a preseason to judge the competition. However, maybe he showed up out of shape or underperformed in practice. "Didn't see eye-to-eye" is pretty vague and could mean a number of things.
  9. Its always good for morale to promote from within. Congrats to Dorsey and Smiley!
  10. If we're that desperate for a pass-rusher, we could trade that 1st round pick for a known quantity like TJ Watt (Pittsburg may be in rebuild mode after Ben retired), or Chandler Jones and have them sign an extension to lessen the cap hit.
  11. I used to be in favor of trading down when there's an opportunity to gain picks, but in our current situation that might not be wise. There's no sense in getting later picks if they're just going to get stolen off our practice squad with no compensation. I think we need to focus on interior offensive line, #2 CB, Speed wr, and D-line (1-tech DT and pass rusher), then maybe RB if one falls to us. We will likely restructure some contracts to free up some cap room and fill a couple of these positions in free agency. Honestly, we're in a great position because we have no immediate dire needs and we can take BPA.
  12. I would love to sign a guy in his prime like Gallup, but realistically a guy coming off a down year on a prove-it deal like DJ Chark
  13. We would need to restructure some of our top contracts to do it (maybe Tre and Josh)
  14. Unfortunately we probably won't have the cap space to sign any pro-bowlers this off-season (unless it's a punter, but we don't even use those)
  15. I just rewatched it and the defense underperformed the entire game. We had no answer for Tyreek Hill and our defense was extremely predictable. I know that we aren't a blitzing team, but they made no effort to disguise their front and I saw no D-line stunts or anything beyond a simple 4-man rush that over-pursued on the edge and had no inside counter. Our defense needs fresh blood in the front-7 and the coaching staff.
  16. Finally a thread where we can properly use the puke reaction
  17. Winning a Superbowl with Brady would just feel dirty and unrewarding. However, if Gronk wants to finish his career in Buffalo on a team-friendly contract, I would be 100% for it
  18. Considering he only coached in the NFL for one year as a wr coach and he was never an offensive coordinator for a college team, I don't believe he is being seriously considered and he may have been brought in to satisfy the Rooney rule: The rule has been expanded to require teams to interview at least two external minority candidates for general manager/executive of football operations positions and all coordinator roles
  19. We need a solid overall second tight end regardless of how good Knox has become. Releasing Hollister was questionable, Sweeney did not show promise blocking or catching, Doyle as a jumbo tight end helped our blocking, but he's not much of a threat as a route-runner so it tips our hand. I would love for Gronk to finish his career as a Bill, but I think we need to build through the draft considering our cap situation.
  20. I was really hoping to see him retire after the Bills beat the Bucs in the Superbowl
  21. It's crazy that a quarterback who played against Phil Hansen was still playing up until this year.
  22. Athletic interior o-lineman CB #2 (if we don't resign wallace) Speed WR Big disruptive DT
  23. The child abuse was an additional incident in 2019 when Tyreek Hill was with the Chiefs and he broke his 3-year-old son's arm.
  24. How oblivious do you need to be as an organization to sign a guy who threatened a woman with a gun the same day one of your current players is arrested? When you consider they also drafted Tyreek Hill who almost murdered a pregnant woman, it makes the Chiefs a very easy team to root against.
