  1. Crowder has been hurt for most of training camp. If we lose one more receiver, we will likely need to add a free agent. The only way that guy is OBJ is if we restructure Tre or sign Edmunds long term to lower his cap hit. There's still the possibility that Tre is not ready for the start of the season and we need to add a veteran cb, so we may need to save money for that possibility.
  2. Vernon Butler was so invisible on the field that nobody even mentions him being gone 🤣
  3. Better now than in the middle of the season. Getting hit with an inflamed appendix could cause it to burst, which can be life-threatening.
  4. That's a really good fit for Julio. Tom Brady's ball placement can make up for Julio's inability to get separation consistently. Antonio Brown will not be missed
  5. I feel like Jimmy G might have demanded a release. That would free up $25 Million in cap space with a penalty of only $1 Million.
  6. I guess the timing is what seems strange to me. Why wasn't Jimmy G moved earlier if that was the intention all along? Maybe they're waiting for a starting qb on another team to get injured in training camp to increase their leverage.
  7. Has the era of real quarterback competitions ended? It used to be that the preseason games were used to determine the starting qb. Maybe Lance's athleticism forced the offensive coordinator to run an entirely different offense that requires more reps and that Jimmy doesn't have the skillset to run. Looks like Jimmy G will be moved soon.
  8. At least from his perspective, he signed a multi-million dollar contract and will have no problem paying his medical bills. If this diagnosis came a few months earlier, I wonder if he still would have been drafted.
  9. The one I disagree with you on is tight end. You pay elite tight ends (Kelce, Waller, Kittle, Andrews). There are just very few of them. Knox could put himself in that category if he keeps progressing.
  10. If Winston stays healthy, I think the Saints can be competitive and give the Bucs trouble.
  11. The red helmets look better with the old blue uniforms. These should be our alternates:
  12. He could probably play outside in a pinch, but only if injuries pile up. Slot cb is a starting position on our defense since we play nickel more than any team in the league.
  13. Let's bring him back as a Tight End so his career can come full-circle
  14. We gotta stop catching balls in the opponents endzone. No room for YAC!
  15. This is why I'd still like to add a veteran cb over the summer. We can't be one injury away from disaster.
  16. I feel like this fanbase somehow mixed up the legacies of Taylor and Fitzpatrick. Tyrod was a budget signing who beat out our 1st round quarterback and made the playoffs for the first time in 18 years. He went 22-20, and joined Flutie as the only qb's since Kelly to have a winning record. Ryan Fitzpatrick got a huge contract and was a turnover machine and had a 24-40 record with the Bills. I guess a beard really makes the difference.
  17. The league already has a shortage of good quarterbacks. I think it would be wasteful to cut them all up and cobble them together into a Frankenstein monster.
  18. He'll probably be a playoff mercenary for a team with an injury at the position. If Diggs goes down, OBJ is the only available player who could come close to matching his production.
  19. My short ass showing up to the audition like
  20. Cam Lewis will probably be stashed away on the practice squad unless there's an injury to a starter in preseason or Tre isn't on pace to be ready for week 1. Van Roten has a chance to crack the final roster if Cody Ford is cut and Ike Boettger isn't fully recovered from his achilles injury. Duke Johnson will be battling Zack Moss for the 3rd rb slot (but the Bills rarely keep 3 rb's active on game day)
  21. Josh runs more when his receivers aren't getting consistent separation and he has no choice. Hopefully Ken Dorsey does a better job of getting the running backs incorporated into the passing game to give Josh an outlet when there's nothing available downfield. Josh is a dynamic runner, but we need to protect him because we are not a championship team with Case Keenum at qb.
  22. It's all about wins over expectations. The Bills would have to go undefeated to significantly overperform what is expected. My money would be on new coaches having a breakout year on a team that had a bad record last season. If the Jaguars, Jets, or Bears make the playoffs, their coach will win COTY.
  23. I don't really think there were many talented qb's that were ruined because of our coaches. Trent Edwards and EJ Manual simply didn't have NFL talent. JP Losman was a good athlete with a strong arm, but didn't have the intelligence to be an NFL qb (similar to Drew Lock)
  24. Once a coordinator gets to a certain age, they miss their window to become a head coach again because their hiring won't excite a fanbase. Defensive coordinators fall into the category of guys like Romeo Crennel, Gus Bradley, Steve Spagnuolo, and Raheem Morris who will only ever be interim head coaches. Lovie Smith broke out of this category by becoming the head coach of the Texans, but that's not exactly a highly sought after role.
