I've never understood the idea that an athlete must talk to the media after a game. I've never heard of one, but does the NFL or a team have a rule that a player must talk to the media after a game? It may be in the athletes best interest to talk, but if they don't want to I don't see any reason that they should.

Do we blow it up? How does the "reload" look?
respk replied to KRT88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think they'll completely blow it up but they are several tweaks that need to be made. Rex's defensive scheme just doesn't seem to fit the talent on the team and since he seems to be a one trick pony and unable to change his scheme to the personnel, the personnel must change. With the needs on offense as well, and depending on how Tyrod does next year, it might be another year before we're playoff bound. -
Tanking doesn't work in football as well as hockey and the sabres were in a special situation with both McDavid and Eichel in the same draft.

Tyrod has played well enough to go into camp next year as the starter. The Bills should be choosing the best QB available with any of their picks in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round. If somehow the team determines their is a franchise QB available in the 1st round of the draft at their pick they should be taking him. If not, and there is a QB rated at or above their 2nd or 3rd pick they should be taking him. QB is the most important position that they are missing right now. Tyrod may show that he is a franchise QB as soon as next season, but he hasn't yet. Having too many good QBs is a problem the Bills would like to have. They also should be looking for a veteran to be the backup who could win a couple of games should Tyrod get hurt.

My kids never wanted to play football. I would have let them play had they asked, but wouldn't now. My son got a concussion playing volleyball. Who would've thought. It was a month and a half before he was cleared to participate in track, as the school did base level concussion testing and he couldn't pass, and I believe it was over a year before he was fully back to his usual personality.

Just imagine if they had red helmets to complete the look!

Watching on a dell laptop wifihdmi connection to TV in 1080. During the first qtr the feed seemed to switch between 1080 and something less alot, but seemed to get better as the game went on. Some freezing but not much. Watching on TV would have been better. I wished I had bought a Roku, Chromecast, apple TV, firestick to use during the stream to see if that was better.

Bills vs. Jaguars 2nd Half Thread
respk replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are done for the season. Any chance for the playoffs may be gone. Long flight back might be good chance for Pegula to contemplate changes. A team that thinks it can challenge for the playoffs doesn't lose to the Jags. -

Finally! The defense comes up big when asked. Now EJ just be adequate. -

down 2 TD's at half. Defense pitches a shutout and Manuel is reasonably productive in the 2nd half we just might have a chance. -

If I'm Pegula, that plane ride back over the atlantic is a great time to have a conversation about the employment status of Manuel, Whaley and Ryan. -
3-3 Glass Half Full or Half Empty!
respk replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For now, half full. The only game I expected them to win and they lost was to the Giants but that gets balanced by the Colts win somewhat. What concerns me is the way they are losing. The defense is mediocre at best so far. The number of penalties and mistakes that they make don't bode well. This is not a smart team. If they lose to Jax, the season may be over especially if the stupid plays and penalties continue. -

And once again the defense comes up small, with the penalties and the poor tackling. -

The shines off of Rex. The defense may not be as good as hyped. Worse yet it doesn't seem to be a very smart defense. Too many penalties, too much jawing at inopportune times. time to regroup for next week. A lot less hype and a lot more actual production on the field is needed. -

Given that Gronk is their best option on offense, how does he get open so easy? And get 1 on 1 coverage with a LB? Not a good day for Ryan's vaunted defensive mastery. -

2nd quarter and the fat lady is warming up. Unbelievable. Who would have thought the defense would be this bad. -

Well so far we're not ready to compete with the likes of the Pats. either on the field or the sidelines. -
A TBN reporter that would get a scoop on upcoming news? Not likely.

I'd like to give Whaley a B- but that wasn't an option. I don't think he's done enough with the OL and the huge, gaping hole at QB still remains. Until the OL proves itself and the offense scores consistently without giving games away it's a B-.

Tyrod Taylor visiting the Bills--edit signed per Rex

Well if nothing else that would make him a solid backup behind the starter Cassel. -

I like that the Bills took a chance on TT. Take a chance on a guy with 4 years in the league and see what happens.
