  1. I don’t know if he’s washed but having him play almost the entire game while Williams, the tackling machine, is benched is stupid. Should be splitting with Williams. Then on the last three games which should be pretty ez give him more time so he’s ready for the playoffs. Plus giving W some playing time will keep him game ready in case M gets hurt again which wouldn’t surprise me at all.
  2. The other teams are looking at out defense and saying let’s run Also worried this is a trap game Althogh Not Too Much. Think they have their eyes on the prize of number one seed in playoffs
  3. Since we’ve been struggling against the run and Dorian Williams was a tackling machine maybe we should play three linebackers more in early downs. Not all the time but in likely run situations and if the weather dictates more of a run game. I know we haven’t done it much and don’t practice it much. But our last three games would be a good time to try it and get ready to use it some if needed in the playoffs. If not that then what are we going to do against a run heavy team like the Ravens?
  4. Hell yes it is. His job to make sure they do know how. Excuses, excuses for Smiley.
  5. Typical BS comment. I’ve coached soccer and hold national licenses. I also played lacrosse in college. You? I know poor coaching when I see it. Lots of excuses for him here. Bottom line is our special teams have given up big plays consistently since he took over. We used to to have the best STs in the league. Why settle for mediocre ones because of poor coaching?
  6. Special teams cost us the Jets and Broncos games last year. Now nearly the Cards game. They’ve been consistently bad under Smiley. He needs to go. I imagine change during the season would be super tough though. Should’ve fired him at the end of the season last year
  7. I like the pics!
  8. Haven’t read the whole thread but don’t be surprised if he takes over play calling if we get blown out. Did it to Fraser several times
  9. I’d take Zappe over Mitch any day!
  10. The versatile Elway is the only player in National Football League history to pass for more than 3,000 yards and rush for more than 200 yards in the same season seven consecutive times. He was only the second quarterback in NFL history to record more than 40,000 yards passing and 3,000 yards rushing during his career. At the time of his retirement, he ranked second all-time in three of the game’s most significant passing categories, passing yards (51,475), attempts (7,250), and completions (4,123). That’s not bad production!!!
  11. It wasn’t about his production. Lots of QBs have more production but didn’t accomplish much. It was about his leadership and dynamic play. BTW he also won 2 super bowls at the end of career. Something no Bills QB had done once. One of the most exciting players to watch ever and lots of times on not so great teams.
  12. Elway. Had eyes on the back of his helmet and avoided blindside sacks amazingly. So many comebacks. Remember coming back from hunting and Chiefs were up 13 with minutes left. No problem he calmly rallied Broncs to victory. Super fun QB era and he was so fun to watch October 4, 1992: The Chiefs were victimized by 8 of John Elway's 46 fourth quarter comebacks/game-winning drives, the most he had against one NFLteam.[5] Perhaps the most memorable comeback occurred on October 4, 1992, at Mile High Stadium. The Broncos trailed 19–6 late in the fourth quarter, and had not scored a touchdown in the previous 12 quarters. After the 2-minute warning, Elway threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Mark Jackson to narrow the gap to 19–13 with 1:55 left. After the Chiefs subsequently went three-and-out, the Broncos returned a punt to the Chiefs' 27-yard line. Three plays later, Elway threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Vance Johnson with 38 seconds left for a thrilling 20–19 comeback win
  13. Anybody who’s focused on cats is suspect! Need a dog loving kicker!
  14. He’s making progress every year. Now that there’s a bunch of supporting cast to spread the ball to teams can’t game plan for anyone like they could for Diggs. Looking forward to our offense this year!
  15. Way early to compare but it sounds like Cook continued to drop passes and Davis was very impressive in training. Will be interesting to see if this continues in training camp. Will be great if Davis pushes Cook so he’ll concentrate on catching passes. Hopefully they’ll both be great this year and make one of the best running back duos in the league!
