Sherman is a tool. Josh hasn’t taken over a game? He’s in a second tier. ??
I guess Sherman missed when Allen torched the 49ers for 375 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INT. Pretty sure Sherman was the starting boundary corner for that game.

That’s possible, but we have kept Tua and Hill in check every game against them. And for us, short week, hot and humid game…that’s hard on the DL guys. And the Fins DL is a mess, so I think we may see a game where we try and pound the rock more and also control the TOP further inhibiting the Fins offense be keeping them off the field and also keeping our DL fresher to better disrupt Tua when they are on the field.
I just think our safeties and linebackers aren't going to be up to the task. I don't think we'll abandon the run, but we will need to match them score-for-score. For comparison, the Bills scored 34 last week (around the same as my prediction for this week) and never abandoned the run (33 rushing attempts vs 23 passing attempts). -
Gonna be a shootout, should be a fun one.
37-36 Bills win, Bass game winning FG as time expires.

I always loved the way Dez Bryant played (even if he was as dumb as a box of rocks). If Keon Coleman can be our Dez Bryant, then consider me tickled pink.

Poyers got nothing to prove. He had a great career in Buff.
Dude is honestly just there for a final paycheck. We'd all do the same in his shoes.
He was kind of washed last year, but he punched that ball out of the back of the endzone for a touchback in the KC playoff game. Big props to him for a clutch play in his final game as a Bill.- 6

I would have picked Likely for offense. Dude was an absolute beast. The called back touchdown probably cost him.
His team lost too. Feels like these usually go to players on teams that win unless they really dominate.

Who was?
Joe Mixon. Definitely not as impressive as Allen, but these weekly awards are from the league office and essentially marketing. They try to spread the love around.

Rousseau was so good that Allen didn’t get Offensive player of the week. They don’t really give both to the same team.

His hand must hurt based on his responses. That’s an interesting glove, looks like it has extra padding. Glad nothing is broken! -
I guess Allen or Baker didn’t have enough style points for PFF? Playing a nearly flawless game and bringing your team the W isn’t as impressive as getting your butt kicked on MNF I guess.

You guys are gonna look silly after he’s an All-Pro this year.

I actually think Allen could play better and he probably will. Ball placement wasn’t always spot on, and he only had a few big plays on time and “on script”.
This was the first real playing time in Brady’s offense (rather than Brady adapting Dorsey’s offense like last year). I think Allen will ascend to even greater heights as he gets comfortable in the new offense and gains chemistry with all the new receivers. I would give him an A- personally.

I could see us being the second seed despite our lackluster defense. I think we can win in a shootout most weeks if it is necessary as long as Allen stays healthy.

I guess I’m just jealous of how easy he’s got it. We can’t get Josh 1 elite weapon and he’s got kittle, Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC, and the best LT in football. Lots of easy quick throws to guys running open on slants and in routes that go for huge YAC. We never get that. I’m tired of Josh having to do it all and play backyard ball. Just wish he could get paired with a great offfensive mind instead of McDermott and 1st year offensive coordinators.
I feel the same way when I watch the Chiefs. Not necessarily the pass catchers but the scheme.Every drive Mahomes will have at least a couple passes to wide open receivers down the field that have been schemed open in a clever way. It even happens in the red zone where things are supposed to be compressed and tighter for the offense. The Bills have a schemed wide open WR or TE approximately never.

What other system and situation do you think you could plug purdy into and he would be good? Definitely not ours. I think he could do pretty good in Miami because they run the same system and have insane weapons too. But that might be it. The inverse is true though that there’s lots of QBs that could do what purdy does in this system. Even guys like Brissett could do it. But that’s the point. He has Shanahan dialing up plays where there are at least 2 elite weapons wide open on every single play. All he has to do is play action, turn around and pick which guy to throw to. Even Jimmy G did it for years. But this is even more insane when CMC is out there. Purdy is just along for the ride.
Chiefs vs 49ers again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
I guess I just disagree. I didn’t see receivers running wide open all over the place last night, and Purdy made some throws that had a high degree of difficulty (with his WR actually dropping multiple TDs).He probably wouldn’t succeed in the same way Allen does here, because that is almost like backyard football. But maybe he would succeed here in a different way (throwing on time to whatever the correct read for the play is).

Purdy had a great game with some really nice throws against a good Jets defense. I think the “system QB” allegations might have been premature. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the 49ers back in the SB this season.
-
Who thinks Allen would have thrown it away like Purdy just did? Lol. No way…he’s trying to squeeze it in somewhere.

Purdy is throwing some dimes out there

I can tell this is going to be a shootout.

90% of people watching will just be doing so hoping to see ARod fall flat on his face. That guy did an expert heel turn

One thing I noticed is that the Cardinals tackles were moving early and were never called, but we had 2 false starts. I kind of understanding allowing some leeway in lining up a little deeper, but they shouldn’t be letting lineman start blocking before the ball is snapped.
-
On the one hand, it felt like playing not to lose.
On the other hand, if we didn’t get the 1st down the game is probably going into OT.

Coleman was awesome, and the best part was it felt very sustainable. Nothing about his performance required extraordinary effort or circumstances. It all seemed comfortably within his abilities.

That was a really nice pass by Allen. Over the blitzer, very nice touch as well.
