  1. I’m not really going to understand a CB pick unless we are viewing Douglas as a short term player, or kicking someone who is currently a CB to S.
  2. Draft watch party on the beach looks fun
  3. If they get rid of their 2025 draft, they can save some money in the amateur scouting department this year.
  4. Broken neck guy is the first defensive player off the board. Too risky for my appetite.
  5. I hope we just go BPA. Plenty of holes to fill on the roster. Make a move for a vet WR later in the off-season if we need to. Don’t reach due to need.
  6. Now I’m wondering if we go defense at 28. We might be able to get one of the top 2-3 DE, CB, or LBers (which is very unusual for that draft spot).
  7. I wasn’t really impressed with McCarthy in college. I guess we’ll see how he does…
  8. Didn’t Cousins just sign a 4 year deal? Why would would the Falcons waste a top 10 pick on a developmental QB? It’s kind of like taking a receiving TE with a top 10 pick and then barely using him.
  9. He has elite athleticism and body control (not to mention an excellent wingspan).
  10. I think Maye is going to be good, which is unfortunate for us. The good news is he won’t be as good as Josh Allen.
  11. I’m not a big believer in Williams, which is a bummer because I want the Bears to be good.
  12. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we pick Center/Guard, Linebacker, Safety, Defensive End, Defensive Tackle, or even one of those big defensive backs that are sort of a Safety/CB/LB all in one (Rapp played this position last year). We actually have a lot of holes on the roster. I would be actually astonished if we took QB, OT, boundary CB, TE, RB, P or K.
  13. I don’t think we need a true #1 WR, and the offense almost works better without having to force targets to one. Allen is pretty good at finding the open guy and putting the ball in his hands. I would be fine with Kincaid and Cook getting the majority of targets. Dink and dunk is the name of the game.
  14. Slightly off topic, but we were never going to take McDuffie regardless. He’s a slot corner, not a boundary corner, and we already had an excellent one in Taron Johnson. In fact the 2 all pros this season for the slot corner position were Taron Johnson and McDuffie.
  15. If a top 10 drafting team already has their QB on a rookie contract, it might make sense to pay a veteran WR (because they can afford it) rather than roll the dice on a rookie. Kind of like how we initial did with Diggs. It's the teams who have QBs on a franchise QB contract that really need WRs on rookie deals.
  16. Hendrickson is ridiculously good. Sucks for the Bengals!
  17. I think we have too many holes to spend a bunch of capital trading up for something that isn’t even a sure thing anyway. Spend the capital on a sure thing (vet WR trade), or stay pat and plug holes.
  18. He's gotten two separate teams to 50 wins since he left the Sabres. He's a competent coach. News flash, all NHL head coaches get fired frequently. 25/32 current NHL head coaches have been with their teams 2 years or less.
  19. That H helmet looks awful. I like the idea of the horn helmet, but the foreground and background colors are too close. They needed more contrast, or a white outline of the horn.
  20. These sound like made up football players for a comedy sketch.
  21. If the purpose of the game is to get a completion, then I think I could get 1. Line up in shotgun every play. Immediately throw it in the direction of a receiver (can’t even risk getting hit or it’s all over). Most passes are incomplete. Probably like 10-15 are intercepted. At least one would involve a WR making a play on my behalf.
  22. I think the defense looked significantly worse when all the injuries hit this last season. I think this upcoming year will be a bit of a re-tool type season, with some youth on the defense filling starting roles, and young players on offense at the skill positions also taking on new roles with more touches/targets. I would say the goal this year should be to win the division, and then anything beyond that is gravy. If everything goes perfectly we could win the Super Bowl (with Allen anything is possible).
  23. Hear me out… Pats are on the clock at #3, with Drake Maye being the top QB available. Let’s say hypothetically the Vikings are obsessed with Maye and want him at any cost. Vikings and Bills have a deal prearranged where we send them our first this year, next year and our 2nd round pick next year for Jefferson and a draft pick (maybe a 3rd this year). The Vikings send 11, 23, and next year’s Bills 1st to move up and get their guy (pricier than the draft chart, but they pay a premium to get a QB). They still have 28 to take a WR to backfill Jefferson. (not a rumor, just my own delusion)
  24. We had like 17 years of dull moments, I'll pass on that
  25. Considering the NFL is basically a money printer, I'm surprised something like cost overruns can cause a partial sale to cover it. I would think there would be some sort of financing available to cover the overruns using the team as collateral (but maybe there are rules against that, or maybe the interest rates are too high to make that option worth it).
