Top 5 in the AFC? It's an interesting thought experiment. If I could swap WR, TE, and RB with the following teams then I would (considering only talent, not cap hits). 1. Miami 2. Cincinnati 3. Browns (especially if Chubb is still good after injury) 4. Texans Teams where I think it's basically equal: 1. Baltimore 2. Colts 3. Chiefs 4. Jets (they could be in the next group up, it's close) So I guess if someone put us at the very top of that second group we would be top 5. Not sure I agree though.

His stepdad says he’s always been like this. I think he’s just mentally ill.

What kind of season are you expecting from Josh Allen this year?
DapperCam replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
About the same volume stats except: - Less interceptions and a lower interception percentage. I think this for two reasons: Gabe Davis is gone, offense is going to be more dink and dunk - Lower YPA - Lower “air yards” -
I’m pretty sure Dolphins fans know Allen is better than Tua.

$23 million in CAP in 2025 if no more moves as of 5/14
DapperCam replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It makes zero sense to cut Von Miller, retool year or not with the dead cap it would incur. He also took a voluntary pay cut. As for Jones and Douglas, they are on pretty reasonable short term contracts (1 year for Douglas, 2 years for Jones) so I don't really think that is relevant to your argument. They do need to have some actual players on the roster to field a team. The point is, this year isn't the year to pretend the cap isn't real like the Saints and Rams and just blow through it like a credit card by pulling every cap lever at Beane's disposal (restructures, void year, etc). I'm pretty sure Beane literally said something like that (we need to build for now and the future). FWIW, I'm glad those older guys are gone as I agree they were washed (except maybe Morse). But as a result, this season we will have young players in starter roles. It will be a growth/development year. The Chiefs won the SB during their retool/cap reset year, and there is no reason we can't also as long as we have Allen. -
Buffalo Bills Schedule Discussion / Prediction Thread
DapperCam replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
How are the Bears expected to be good? They were the worst team in their division last year, and this year they have a rookie QB. For every Texans with Stroud outcome, there are 9 Panthers with Bryce Young outcomes. -
Chiefs at Bills - Week 11 CBS 4:25 National Game
DapperCam replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m pretty tired of Romo. Also, they 100% scheduled this so Taylor Swift could attend. It’s not like some conspiracy. When she attends games, the ratings go up. And it also pulls in viewers that they didn’t already have, which is huge for them. -
$23 million in CAP in 2025 if no more moves as of 5/14
DapperCam replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t really understand the people hoping to light future cap on fire to make the team marginally better this season. The defense opening day is going to look 50% different than opening day last season, and a lot of the holes are being filled with youth. It’s a retool year, and not a year to push all of our chips in. Do you really want to be the Saints? Letting good vets go every offseason because they have to do cap gymnastics? -
Heat should be okay at night. Baking in the sun is the biggest problem. I’ll take this as a favorable scheduling outcome.

Chiefs Bills Playoff Replay / Bass Kicking
DapperCam replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
It wasn’t just one game, he struggled a big chunk of the year to the point where he lost the trust of the coaching staff. That is why I’m puzzled with the third down call there at the end of the KC playoff game. It was third and long. Should have been a quick underneath throw, a run, or an Allen keeper to pick up a chunk of it and go for it on 4th down. Poor tactics from the OC in the clutch there. -
2024 Buffalo Bills Roster - All 91 Spots filled
DapperCam replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bottom half of the WR depth chart is going to be a very interesting training camp storyline. CB depth is concerning if Elam doesn’t turn the corner (pun not intended). -
Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy
DapperCam replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it’s largely accepted that he dropped due to height/weight and quality of competition. Otherwise he is athletic and had the best production of any DE last year. His weight is the same as Von Miller, but he is pretty short. -
Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy
DapperCam replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s only 2 spots on the line for a DE pass rusher. I guess it depends on if you prefer Groot, Epenesa, or the corpse of Von Miller (assuming we were subbing this guy in on obvious passing downs). I think Epenesa is better at purely rushing the passer. Groot is a better all-around DE. -
Bills sign Chase Claypool, Smoot, Jones
DapperCam replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want to think we have a strong enough locker room, where we can absorb a headcase or two as long as they aren’t in leadership positions. You have to think Claypool knows this is his last serious chance to stick in the league. Maybe he takes it more seriously with that knowledge. -
Rd 5, Pick 168: Edge Javon Solomon, Troy
DapperCam replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this pick is a great fit. He can replace Groot on 3rd and long and just pin his ears back. I’m not even sure why being short is a disadvantage for a pass rusher. I would think it would actually help the speed rush move and getting around the edge. -
Tim Graham article on Kim Pegula and Bills ownership
DapperCam replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've watched the majority of Sabres games since ~2004. While it's true the Sabres don't lack talent, you don't get the longest playoff drought of all time (not longest active drought, the longest for any franchise ALL TIME) by having bad luck. I think it's fair to say he's an incompetent NHL owner. By the way, the next closest playoff drought all time is 10 years, while ours is sitting at 13 years. So we're padding an already significant lead. -
My expectations in a reset year, considering we still have a top-3 QB in the league. Floor: Wild Card Good outcome: Win the Division Probably unrealistic: 1st round bye Once we get in the playoffs, anything can happen.

Tim Graham article on Kim Pegula and Bills ownership
DapperCam replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Got lucky hiring the right front office, and got lucky drafting Allen. I think a 3rd party firm actually did the hiring search for McDermott after Rex Ryan flopped. His hires outside of that between both franchises have mostly been duds. Imagine if the Sabres hired a top-10 rookie head coach/GM combo, and got a McDavid/McKinnon level talent at the same position they just drafted Benson. Things would be different… -

Didn’t Terry literally just speak at the press conference introducing Lindy Ruff? Idk if he took questions from the press (and honestly, why would he?). -
What's the point of this team's philosophy?
DapperCam replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I kind of agree, but the NFL defenses adapted to bombs away. Mahomes’ last huge season was the last year NFL defenses let that happen. Now they take away everything deep, and dare you to dink and dunk them. It’s a pretty sound strategy vs a great QB. -
Hope he can be extended for a reasonable contract. Not a game breaker (and I wouldn’t give him a game breaker contract), but is stout and when there is another DE causing pressure on the other side, cleans up sacks pretty well.

This Will Be The Make Or Break Year For This Regime
DapperCam replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree strongly. They are obviously doing a bit of a rebuild year, with the plan to have a push next year when the cap clears up a bit. McDermott might have been in a little bit of trouble towards mid-season last year, but he rallied the troops and performed pretty darn well to end the season.
