He very clearly slows down looking for the ball. He isn't an NFL WR, he is Jake Kumerow. We have the current equivalent to Jake Kumerow playing as our #1 WR.
-
Lol the replay makes it look so much worse. He looks like a 9 year old in little league trying to catch a pop fly over their heads. Any real NFL WR and that is 6 easily. Allen even put a ton of loft under it which he usually fails to do.

If I were Allen I wouldn't throw the ball to Hollins unless it's one of those quick ones within 5 yards of the LOS. The guy is not a WR.

Fully agree with this post. The thing giving me hope is that the rest of the AFC looks meh as well. KC - If Rice is done for the season they are in the same place we are with minimal weapons. They will have to lean on their defense and every game will be close. One bad bounce and they can be out. HOU - We just saw how easily they can choke away a game. Bills easily could have won despite playing terribly. Not super impressive vs other bad teams like the Bears. BAL - Have already blown multiple games, and leaning on a geriatric (in RB years) rusher. If Henry keeps this usage up for 17 games and the playoffs I'll eat my hat. PIT - Pretenders, and I'm pretty sure everybody knows that. If KC loses tomorrow night, the entire conference will be clustered around 3-2 and 4-1. Bills *should* win 4 out of the next 5 games. We'll likely still be around 1 game back of the top seed if that plays out.

I think we'll see offensive play calling so conservative next week that it would make the GOP blush. It's going to be Jauron-ball, and I also think we win a low scoring affair. -
Just need the Chiefs to lose tomorrow night and we'll be only 1 game back of the first seed somehow 🤪 AFC is so mediocre right now.
-
You believe we have a loaded roster? We clearly have poor depth, because after one WR injury Mack Hollins is our #1 WR and receiving target. We absolutely do not have a loaded roster, and it's partially by design (taking our medicine to load up again next season).

The thing that gets me is that the Chiefs are playing pretty much as badly as we are, but they keep winning due to a combination of luck and much better coaching. You think that kicker is drilling that long one vs the Chiefs? No way...

How was Josh able to finish the game with a concussion?
DapperCam replied to JakeFrommStateFarm's topic in The Stadium Wall
He sure looked out cold to me. The only alternative I can imagine that makes any sense is that he got the wind knocked out really badly (like when you feel like you can't breath and are gasping for air). But he was motionless for a good 5 seconds after hitting the turf. -

Yea, we'll probably lose vs the Steelers at home during the wild card. -

One issue I have with the offensive play calling is they abandoned what worked the first few weeks because it got shut down last week. Maybe the dink-and-dunk has limitations and drives will stall out on 3rd downs. But instead we went deep with zero success which equally killed drives. Felt like an overcorrection. -
Dawson Knox: 3 receptions in 5 games. $8.5M salary.

Cool, a very expensive Lee Smith. -

I’m really not understanding people blaming this one completely on Allen. Most of his inaccurate balls were being rushed to throw because someone was in his face right away. A lot of his incompletions hit receivers in the hands (or the helmet). His worst throw of the day was probably the underthrow to Kincaid on the deep pass, and even that one the DB made a really nice play (otherwise that one hits Kincaid in the hands too despite the underthrow). Play calling has been trash for 2 weeks, nobody is getting open, nobody can track a deep ball, rushers are in Allen’s face when his back foot hits at the bottom of his drop back. Not sure what people expect. -

I’m very confident that the All-22 is going to show nobody open. -
The most optimistic take right now is that the Bills take the season for Babich and Brady to get comfortable by learning on the job. We get some guys healthy by the end of the season (Milano?). The rookies get better with experience, and the Bills make the playoffs because our division stinks. Then maybe we hit the wild card round with a bit of a hot streak and some of our weaknesses shored up to take a run.

I’m not that upset about this one, because the Bills really had no business being in this one at the end. The fact that it was tied was a minor miracle and didn’t reflect the play on the field. Worst (regular season) coached game in the entire McD era
DapperCam replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think last week was a much worse coached game. It wasn’t even close at the end. At least this game came down to the last play of the game. -

Hollins should be banned from deep passes from now on. Even with a perfect pass he will not be able to track it and catch it. It just isn’t something he is able to do. -

Almost no time would have run off the clock if we kneeled it 3 times. They would have had time to spike it. -

I think the right approach would have been a mix of running plays and high percentage passing plays to try to get the first down. Not whatever the heck they did. -

DapperCam replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we kneeled three times, each play would have taken 2-3 seconds off the clock because the TO would be immediate. Texans would get the ball back with like 20-30 seconds left. Enough time for a play and spike. Anyway that FG was good even if they didn’t run another play. -

Houston had all 3 timeouts. Kneeling accomplishes nothing. -

Houston will try to stop the clock here. They have all 3 timeouts. Can’t punt from the endzone.
