I think the plan is to score 50 points
-
Usually happens around FA, so it’s a treat to have it so late in the offseason.
-
I’d say there was a clear winner at #2 QB and it was Trubisky.
-
It is very curious and if Beane gave an answer in an interview I’d be interested in hearing it. It does take 2 to tango though. Maybe Dolac felt he had a better chance of cracking the Rams’ 53 man roster. He got to pick his destination as a FA.
-
I love the Bills and I miss football, but I'm not sure how much more of this I can watch.
-
I'm thinking they want Allen - Trubs on the 53 man roster, and they are deciding if Buechele or White should stick to the PS.
-
Doesn't look like we'll be seeing any starters (unless Bishop ends up being a starter, which I don't think he will as it stands).

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"
DapperCam replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why the heck are we trying to put Bishop at Free Safety anyway? He’s a strong safety and should be either replacing Rapp or Rapp’s backup. What happened to that Forrest guy we signed? -
It would appear that Samuel and Moore are on shaky ground. I would be fine with Gabe Davis as long as his role is way smaller than last time. He should primarily be a blocker and have a couple receptions per game. Dorsey’s option route offense was a disaster with Davis. Maybe things are easier with Brady.

Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread
DapperCam replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
- Hamlin somehow got even slower. He might get cut. - Was hoping for more from E. Moore. - Idk who that punter is, but he did great. - Shavers might make some noise this year in spot duty. Good competition to keep Coleman from getting complacent. -

Bengals might need to save face and have something to tell the fans. Bosa could be a “see we replaced him” move. -

Rousseau and a 2nd? Bosa and a first? Doubt the Bengals will trade him to a top AFC team. -
Cook signed👀 - 4 / 48 / 30 mil guaranteed

I guess we can agree to disagree. There is no way to know if another player could have scored in those red zone chances. I think Allen could have scored many of them. -

YPC I’ll give you, but a lot of those TDs could have been scored by somebody else. In past seasons it was Allen. This most recent season they gave the ball to Cook in the red zone. -

Feels slightly rich for a RB that only plays 50% of the snaps, but maybe they will work on his pass blocking. -
Cook is not far better than the 8th best RB. That’s about where he is. I can’t see any argument to have him higher than 5th (and I wouldn’t put him there). There is an argument he’s as low as 12th (that is where PFF ranks him). The only category he was high in this past season was TDs, and it was an outlier season. I see the tiers like this: Henry Barkley —— Robinson Gibbs —— Jacobs Irving Taylor McCaffrey (bump up a tier if healthy) —— Cook Williams Walker Conner Achane Mixon I also think Jeanty will be really good and immediately slot into tier 2 or 3.
-
No, I don’t agree. I think the difference between the 25th best RB and the 8th best RB is a handful of points. It’s why they aren’t paid very well (so GMs agree with me).
-
I like Cook a lot, but the Bills had a top-5 offensive line last year, and the MVP quarterback. It's hard to imagine a better situation for a RB.
-
I might be a hater, but I don’t think the Bills offensive output would be that different with a combo of Ty Johnson and Ray Davis. It would definitely take a step back, but I’m not sure it would actually result in a different team record.
-
Seemed like a favorable edit. Hopefully that means those pesky script writers have decided it’s finally the Bills’ year to win it all.
-
Let’s all just cross our fingers and hope Bernard stays healthy all year and Milano looks like at least some of his former glory. I don’t want any of these depth guys seeing the field.
-
If you like dark comedy the first two seasons of white lotus are good (haven’t seen the most recent one yet). Classics like The Wire and The Sopranos are also on there if you are into crime dramas. Game of Thrones is pretty excellent for fantasy/drama (last couple seasons aren’t as good as the rest). There are probably like 20 great series on HBO to watch if you haven’t seen any of the back catalog.
-
Yea, that dude is out to lunch. It would take something more like Rousseau, a 1st and Cook. That would be largely a cap neutral deal and Jerry doesn’t want futures.
-
How has Allen looked so far in camp? As locked in as ever?
-
I’m pretty sure the Chiefs will be playing wildcard weekend this year. They could replay last season in a simulator 100 times and not get the lucky BS, horseshoe up their rear results they got last season. So many memorable lucky plays that all broke their way. - Ravens opener Likely toe on the line - Bengals pass interference on a 4th a mile desperation heave - Another one late where KC clearly committed PI in the endzone but it was uncalled (I want to say it was the next week). - Coin toss to get the ball in OT vs the Bucs when both defenses were spent - Denver blocked game winning FG. - Raiders driving for the game winning FG (and are already in range) and the center snaps the ball with nobody ready. - Carolina where Mahomes had a big scramble to get in FG range when it looked like they would lose. Like they were the team of destiny for some reason. Even getting 50% of these would have been extremely lucky. I think the Bills had only one game like this. It was the game where Coleman drew DPI and Bass nailed that super long game winner.
