Could we please run the ball? Have we not learned our lesson about balance? -

Too much mustard on it for the conditions, but definitely a drop. -

For the Bills to get the #1 seed: Week 17: - Falcons at Bills - Chiefs at Bengals - Raiders at Colts (Colts could also lose week 18 vs Jags for the same effect) - Dolphins at Titans Week 18: - Jets at Bills - Bengals at Browns - Titans at Texans - Chiefs at Broncos Chiefs could have helped us out with a loss to the Chargers a couple weeks ago. Titans probably should have lost to the 49ers last week. Colts probably should have lost to the Cards last week. Bills could have helped themselves by not losing at the last play of the game a bunch of times... Imagine what that parlay would pay out... -
Hope we can win and Ravens lose so some guys can get some rest the last game of the season. I know we won’t have the division clinched yet, but we will have a playoff spot clinched.

If he can come back and play well it will be huge. Especially with Harrison Phillips playing well lately. Run defense could start looking respectable. Especially if we draw the Colts or Titans with Henry back in the playoffs. Hope all is well in his personal life. PFF doesn’t know squat. If Star occupies 2 blockers, he’s probably doing his job as NT. Do they consider that a positive play in their grading rubric where they are guessing who has what responsibilities?

Another bad luck circumstance for Allen's counting stats has been bad weather games. He must lead the league by a fair margin in bad weather games. I can't remember all of them, but - Washington game was so windy they had an accidental onside kick that blew backwards. - Texans game was a monsoon - First Pats game was so bad Mac Jones wasn't allowed to throw - The KC game had a super long delay at half time and I think the weather was pretty bad, but I can't remember - Wasn't it very rainy for the Colts game and nobody could hold onto the ball? I remember the unforced kick return fumble. Go down through the schedule and I don't believe there was a single game where Allen was not the best QB in the game. There are only 3 that aren't 100% clear: @Jags, Colts, and @Bucs. And even in those I think Allen was the better QB. Kind of wild we don't have a better record with his level of play.

It’s usually the right strategy for Allen. Contain with DEs and try to get pressure up the middle. Allen was just too good. He made quick throws underneath and burned them.

My only worry with NE is that they do have a good run game and our run defense stinks. They have the #1 scoring defense as well. Also we've given Billy B a lot of tape, and it's possible he finds some wrinkle to exploit. Noodle arm does not scare me one bit. I think our best matchups are the Fins if they sneak in, or the Henry-less Titans (depending on his status) if they concede the division to the Colts. I also think we could beat the Ravens pretty handily if we match up with them. We've contained Lamar well in our matchups, even in his MVP year.

If Allen can put up big numbers these final 2 weeks and Brady/Rodgers have mediocre weeks he might be able to steal it. Rodgers will probably deserve it on merit, but I think the media are sick of his antics and they are who vote. Brady’s supporting cast is a lot better (not sure if non-Bills fans see it that way though).

Maybe with the possibility of missing the playoffs becoming real they got their crap together and actually focused. Like a student procrastinating an assignment.

12/26/21 Week 16 Gameday Bills @ Patriots* Pregame Thread

3- Moss seems to know where to line up and runs the actual play that was called. -
So assume the Bills lose vs the Pats tomorrow and then win the final 2 games... This puts the Bills at 10-7 Teams that will make the playoffs no matter what practically speaking: KC, Tenn, NE (division pretty much wrapped with win tomorrow) That leaves the following contending for 4 playoff spots : IND (LV, @JAX) BUF (@NE, ATL, NYJ) CIN (BAL, KC, @CLE) LAC (@HOU, DEN, @LV) BAL (@CIN, LAR, PIT) PIT (@KC, CLE, @BAL) (I left out 7-7 teams LV, DEN, and MIA although they could possibly win out and have a chance) I'm going to assume Indy doesn't lose out and Pitt doesn't win out. That leaves 3 playoff spots for: BUF, CIN, LAC, BAL. Here are some scenarios: - If any of CIN, LAC, or BAL go 1-2 or worse, we're in. - If we end up in a 3-way tie with CIN and LAC (with BAL winning AFC North), we're out - If we end up in a 3-way tie with BAL and LAC (with CIN winning AFC North) - If the BAL loss is to LAR, we're out - If the BAL loss is to PIT or CIN, we have the same conference record and it drops to common opponents - If BAL loss is to PIT, we're in - If BAL loss is to CIN, it comes down to strength of victory which depends on a million things CIN and BAL play each other, so our big hope will be that the losing team in that match up loses again. For CIN our best chance would be KC. BAL will have 2 more tough matchups in LAR and PIT. I personally think we should root for CIN this weekend, because BAL has a tougher remaining 2 games and are more likely to drop another one IMO. This all also applies if the Bills win vs NE, but drop the final game vs NYJ (because that would be pretty Billsy). So, depending on how things break we could be going into the final game of the season praying CLE or PIT win (or I guess JAX if IND drops their game next week).
