This tells me the Bills do not believe Cook can do what they want from a pass catching RB this year, so they went and got a more proven (and more expensive) veteran to fill that role. They probably hoped they wouldn’t have to make a move like this when the season started. It doesn’t mean they’ve written him off forever, but we’re trying to win the Super Bowl this year and can’t sit around waiting for him to figure it out.

Save the picks, save the cap. We are going to contend for the next 5 years at least. There is too much luck involved (single elimination playoffs) to go all in on one year unless you think it is your last year to make a run (like if you have a super old franchise QB).

It will be interesting how much turnovers play into it at the end of the year. I can see Allen leading all volume stats, but also having more turnovers than Mahomes or Hurts. H2H win against the Chiefs really helps the narrative I think.
