He’ll play well, but even if he’s 80% of his regular self that might be all the edge we need. Could be one or two additional punts because he couldn’t pull his magician BS escaping the pocket while under pressure like last year’s AFCCG.
It’s probably a wash with Von Miller being out.
I think in our first KC matchup last year they put Tre White on him 1-on-1 all game and it worked okay. Maybe they will try that again. White missed our last two matchups vs them.
If the Giants could have gotten one score in the entire first half they would be in much better position. Dug themselves a huge hole against a team that can eat the clock.
If anybody else is interested, I looked it up in the rulebook. The offense isn’t allowed to block more than 1 yard past the line of scrimmage before the ball is caught. So obviously they never call it like that.
Can anyone explain to me what is OPI on those little sceeens? The Eagles WR was blocking 3-4 yards downfield well before the pass was completed. Is that allowed because he was within 5 yards?
I remember a while ago (when the Broncos were really good at rub routes) there were emphasizing calling that sort of thing.
The luckiest part of this game was a 100% unforced fumble when the Jags were about to punch it in. The guy just dropped it trying to bring it in! Nothing the Chiefs did to force that, just complete choking.
Henne marched down the field for a 98 yard TD drive, so I’m not sure it mattered if Mahomes was even out there.
That’s why he was so mad, he doesn’t want people to find out his MVP play is a product of Reid.
