I mean…they are, right? NFL Network has advertisers even in the off-season. Individuals (show runners, social media people, on-air talent) have their job performance assessed based on the number of eye balls they draw in, even in the off season.

It’s the off-season buddy. They need to get clicks.

I don’t think we can keep all the DE on the roster right? How many do we have, and how many can we keep? Epenesa, Boogie and Shaq must be sweating right now.

I don’t understand this at all

D-line coach Eric Washington’s comments on Ed Oliver — hoo boy

Sounds like the coach is calling him too dumb, which is kind of mean. -
Why did Isaiah McKenzie fail as starting Slot WR?
DapperCam replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you look at his stats for last season, they actually aren't that bad for a slot receiver (probably middle of the road for the league). I think people get frustrated because it feels like he could have been even better, but never reached that next level. His stats were very similar to Dawson Knox for the year. 2022 Regular season stats: 42 receptions 65 targets 423 rec yards 10.1 rec avg 4 rec TDs 9 rushes 55 rush yards 6.1 ypc 1 rush TD He had a lot of games where he had 3 or less targets, which limited his counting stats. I'm not sure if it was Allen not trusting him, or Dorsey not including him in the game plan. He officially had no fumbles this past season, but I could have sworn he had a few on special teams that weren't lost. -
Miami fans say he was serviceable at RT and a disaster at LT. I think this is a legit challenger for Spencer Brown. Great teams have real camp battles.

I don’t really see how this is Allen’s responsibility. He should focus on playing QB, and let management or other vets deal with the diva.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
DapperCam replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would he be a problem in the locker room? I don’t think he’s been a problem in the locker room in the past. Even his recently-former Arizona teammates all seem to be wishing him luck (and this is with him potentially forcing himself off the team because they are tanking). -

You will never become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders with this attitude. -

Nobody wanted his cap hit. It’s possible the best move available for the Cardinals (if he is disgruntled and was going to be a big distraction this year) was to eat his cap hit this year when they weren’t going to be very good anyway and move on. -

He’s better than Davis right now for sure as long as he doesn’t pop for PEDs again. -

Ravens, Bills, or Chiefs is my guess. Eagles are also a dark horse, and Pats if they give him a wheelbarrow of money. Diggs, Hopkins is elite on the outside. Gabe Davis is fine rotating in and giving them a breather. Kincaid in the slot and Shakir in there somewhere makes me feel really good about our weapons. Not to mention Knox is a top-15 TE in his own right, and Cook is supposedly a receiving RB (remains to be seen in the NFL, but was definitely true in college). -

Apparently he has talent, but can’t stay healthy. Beane probably sees him as a player that could win a backup LB position in training camp.

4pm games are the worst. We might be 8-0 going into the Cincy game.

These sports media personalities intentionally do this sort of thing to stir people up and get clicks. If they don’t get clicks, then they don’t get good numbers for advertisers, which means they don’t eat.
-
Who’s making excuses? He’s had a bum ankle every year. If he can’t stay healthy and get separation then we should let him walk for sure and limit his playing time while he’s here. I think the ankle affected him the whole season, unless he just has an absolutely bizarre gait.
-
Idk, if you have a bum ankle then you can’t get separation and you can’t cut well. Then your catches are in traffic and everything just gets harder.
-
I know his position is TE, but what if we just pretend he is a big body slot WR and have Knox play the actual TE position? His blocking needs work for a TE, but it is probably pretty good for a WR.

Are we more deserving of the SB hype this year than last?
DapperCam replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Idk how they measure impact of injuries, but: - Allen’s season fell off a cliff statistically after his partial UCL tear. - Von Miller was a huge loss. We really missed him in the playoffs. - Hyde and Poyer were both All Pros the prior season. Hyde missed the whole year, and Poyer was gimpy and probably just playing because he had to by the end of the season. - Tre White was an All Pro corner and taking up cap space, but never really returned to his former glory - D. Jones made our run D respectable and he was sorely missed in the Bengals playoff game. And there are many more…our entire secondary was backups for the first Miami game, and we ran out of starters on the O-line by the end of the game. It was a bad injury season from my perspective. The prior season was much luckier.
