  1. Defense is going to be gutted next season. We are already over the cap and… Defensive lineman signed for next year: - Von Miller (big question mark) - Ed Oliver - Kingsley Jonathan And then we have our secondary… - Tre White, cut candidate - Poyer, cut candidate - Elam, healthy scratch - Benford - Douglas - Taron Johnson - Siran Neal - Hamlin, cut candidate So we will have one DT, possibly zero starting DE depending on Miller, zero safeties, and zero CB depth behind Douglas and Benford. On offense Gabe Davis will probably walk. Morse may retire, but we can probably plug in Bates there. Top three picks might be defense just to get warm bodies to put on the field. Also we went offense top two picks last year.
  2. Do they really think people are going to shell out tens of thousands of dollars for private seat licenses for a 7-10 team? Pegula needs to get people excited somehow. Funding the new stadium depends on it.
  3. Roster is in trouble next year. I could see Gabe, Morse, Hyde, Poyer, and Tre White all gone. Phillips, Lawson, AJ Epenesa I think are FA. Von Miller is totally ineffective right now to the point where he isn’t even making tackles. Who knows how he’ll be next year. And we’re already going to be over the cap. Missing a bunch of starters we need to replace. Hate to say it, but it might be a “re-tool” year to eat some dead cap and hope for the best.
  4. It’s possible that the coaching has failed to develop and use what he’s brought in, but his track record doesn’t look great in hindsight. A lot of draft busts, a lot of bad/failed FA signings. I’m not even talking about Miller which has failed pretty bad (but that was a calculated risk and we got burned).
  5. Johnson is a slot corner. He’s no match for Jeudy going up the field like that. He had to be ready for the quick slant for a first down, which was a much more likely play to be completed based on the defense. That would have allowed the Broncos to get it in FG range and spike it.
  6. One moment I haven’t seen commented on was Epenesa missing the strip sack on the first cover zero blitz. He rushed on the blind side and Wilson had no idea he was about to be hit and the ball was just hanging out there. A tiny bit more awareness and he could have popped it out no problem.
  7. He got good pressure, but would overshoot his target every time. Wilson is slippery I guess!
  8. That rumor was never actually true. Funny enough, Donald Trump made it up to try to make himself seem more appealing as a bidder for the team. Pretty wild!
  9. I’m kind of at the place where I think we need to fire McDermott and possibly Beane as well. However, they both just got extensions this off-season and the internet says McDermott’s is for 4 years at $8.5m per. Ouch! Might make it harder to fire him.
  10. Pats game Allen also left the field with the lead and less than 2 minutes left. Then McDermott’s defense gives up a game winning TD drive to Mac Jones, one of the worst offenses in the NFL.
  11. There are 2 important stats in football. Points per drive on offense. Points given up per drive on defense. Score as many points per drive as possible and try to get as many drives as possible. McDermott is miles behind what KC has for their coaches.
  12. Allen will have like the 10th biggest QB cap hit after a couple more guys sign this off-season. As of now it will be the 7th highest cap hit. Drafting has killed us.
  13. I guess I meant from the perspective of the Bills. We’ve already converted salary to bonus, and we’ve already accrued dead cap. There is no way to reduce that dead cap AFAIK. He could make changes to his contract to make it more desirable for acquiring teams I guess, but he’s already pretty desirable.
  14. Anybody else remember Gregg Williams getting fired as the Jets DC for that exact playcall?
  15. There is no such thing as redoing his deal to become more tradeable.
  16. How was Dorsey even supposed to burn more clock? It was a drive of 100% running plays. They didn’t pass or go out of bounds once.
  17. Why did they take him off IR? He’s clearly not recovered and ready. Should have shut him down and tried again next year.
  18. We had collected quite a lot of epic prime time meltdowns. Some off the top of my head. - McKelvin fumble game - Dallas winning on a FG after an onside kick? - Allen slipping at the 1 vs TEN - Jets punt return TD in OT - I guess we can count 13 seconds if you want to. It was a melt down in prime time after all - 12 men on the field tonight I’m sure there are more I’ve blocked out!
  19. Aren’t they contractually obligated to have media availability?
  20. Dennison?
  21. He’s lost the locker room for sure. He’s wound way too tight. Maybe that works when the team is winning. I wouldn’t want him to be my boss, lol.
  22. Bills win then the D actually came up with a game ending stop. Which I guess they technically did in the Bucs and Giants game (yikes). Their propensity to choke in big moments is part of their problem.
  23. Allen had two bad passes. The pick at the end of the half (which was a brain dead play design), and overthrowing Shakir on a third down scramble. He also did drop the fumble on the handoff to Cook. All in all he didn’t have a great game, but the whole team played like trash. Which points to coaching IMO.
  24. Rumor was that Daboll also would have taken a lateral position. He was done with McDermott (or McDermott was done with him, either way).
  25. Nope, the schedule is too hard. Maybe if we had the Texans schedule I would feel like maybe we could squeak it out.
