  1. Not gonna win too many games scoring 7 points…
  2. TJ Watt just exploded his knee.
  3. Idk, I’ve seen the Ravens LBers making some business decisions on some of the Harris runs.
  4. How did he get that throw off with a guy hanging off his throwing arm on 3rd down?
  5. This Phillips LB is not good.
  6. The kicker was gonna miss from there anyway in this mess, so they just saved themselves 7 yards of field position.
  7. His knee wasn’t down when it got punched. Unless he got possession when he tried to pick it back up.
  8. Melvin Gordon lost his last job because he fumbled too much.
  9. O/U 3 total passes in this game more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.
  10. Same thing happened this year vs the Cowboys. There was bad weather and we just demoralized them. The entire second half they were just waiting to hit the showers.
  11. 53 Phillips is mailing it in out there. He didn’t get off a single block that entire drive.
  12. Can’t help but think turnovers will be the difference in this one.
  13. Ravens backups vs Steelers starters is actually a pretty even matchup. Should be a good game.
  14. This feels more like coaching and scheme vs anything to do with Kincaid. For whatever reason his role has been sort of a dump off safety valve for Allen. His hands have been very good, and his separation has looked good as well. He passes the eye test for me to potentially be a top-5 receiving TE in the league (not sure about his blocking, maybe that is what has limited his involvement in the offense). IMO he should have 10 targets per game, but that is just me.
  15. I actually miss Thursday Night Football. I might be disturbed…
  16. I’m trying to imagine a scenario where Josh Allen throws 10 TDs. Either the defense has had an all-time bad game, or Allen and the Bills have abandoned all sportsmanship.
  17. Does anybody else find the Ravens fan argument of “if you watched games, then you would get it” as a hand wavy excuse for Jackson’s middle-of-road stats utterly unconvincing? Like what exactly has he done to be more impressive than Allen or even Prescott? Once a narrative gets rolling, forget about it. That momentum is impossible to stop.
  18. I strangely think the Steelers could give us trouble as well. If we follow the script from the Raiders game where we neutralized Crosby, then we should be fine though. In general, I would rather play a team with a good offense and bad defense vs the opposite.
  19. I had very little confidence last year. The whole team was just off at the end of the season. This year if we get in I think we have as good a chance as any AFC team to get to the big game. Is anybody really that confident that the Ravens are going to make noise in the playoffs? This version of the Ravens has had plenty of playoff opportunities and choked them away. We've already blown out the Dolphins (we'll see how this Sunday goes). We've already beat KC on the road (and they don't look like themselves this year at all). Jaguars look a lot worse than earlier in the season when they beat us. Colts, Texans, Steelers would be upsets if they beat us. The Browns are intriguing. Flacco is turning the ball over a lot but their defense is elite. If we get the #2 seed, I would give us a 25% chance to make the super bowl, which is pretty good (if all the teams had an even chance it would be ~14%).
  20. I think I remember from 2 years ago when Lamar Jackson inexplicably got the pro bowl over Allen, it came out that the big difference was the player portion of the vote. Basically the players hate Josh Allen’s guts and won’t vote for him. They all seem to be buddies with Lamar Jackson, so he got the nod (despite not deserving it at all). I have to imagine something similar happened this year. My conspiracy theory is he hasn’t been able to shake the reputation from the pre-draft tweets.
  21. Allen only has 5 goal line TDs. The rest of his rushing TDs are from 3+ yards. He has by far the most non-“tush push” rushing TDs by a QB this year.
  22. Cut him some slack, he’s a sports journalist.
  23. This one is for my McMansion *points up to house heaven*
  24. The premise of this thread is spending a first and second round pick on a WR. It's just a real crap-shoot on what you will get unless you are picking top 10-15. If the goal is take our passing offense to the next level UFA is a much safer path (the cap is going to make it difficult though). Odds are, any drafted WR where we will have draft picks will not outperform Gabe Davis from this year.
  25. I would actually be in favor of signing a UFA WR or trading for one, and filling in the defense with draft picks (especially if Beane can do some cap magic to kick the can down the road). We could be picking 24 or later in the draft (if we make it to the divisional round). If you look at the WR taken around there the past few years not a lot have made a huge impact their rookie seasons (assuming the goal is to have improved WR productivity next season): 2023 20: Jaxon Smith-Njigba 21: Quentin Johnston 22: Zay Flowers 23: Jordan Addison 39: Jonathan Mingo 2022 18: Treylon Burks 34: Christian Watson 2021 20: Kadarius Toney 27: Rashod Bateman 34: Elijah Moore There are zero 1k yard rookie seasons on this list (I guess we'll see after next week, but likely not). JSN, Flowers and Addison have had the best rookie seasons of the bunch and the rest have been nothing special. So a 30% success rate over this smallish sample size. No difference makers were selected 24 or later. I guess if we miss the playoffs or lose in the wild card round, then the chances of getting a real difference maker increases.
