  1. I think if you have a team that will go for it on 4th and short near midfield, then Araiza is a good fit. Boom it and flip the field, and no need to be exposed to his directional kicking weaknesses. But at the end of the day, he’s just a punter.
  2. If he never had foot injuries he probably doesn’t bust. He was drinking and partying instead of taking his injury rehab seriously. Also trash QBs didn’t help.
  3. Hurts is so overrated it’s crazy.
  4. Keon Coleman is so slow, when he ran the 40-yard dash, they had to time him with a calendar!
  5. All I know is Kenny Pickett is pretty similar to Trent Edwards.
  6. I think it is unlikely they would find a better coach to replace him. Steelers rosters the last 5 years have been very similar to a lot of the Bills rosters during the drought years. Big difference is Tomlin has them in the playoffs, and we missed for 17 years straight.
  7. In no particular order of interest 1. Center/LG 2. Who starts at Safety? 3. All of the WRs, especially 4-6 on the depth chart. Does Claypool make the team? 4. What will Milano look like? My understanding is that a tibial plateau fracture is not good. 5. Will Elam make the team? Will he be a starter? 6. Is Von Miller 100% washed. 7. Will Javon Solomon make the roster? 8. The RBs, especially Ray Davis. Related, will we hear again about a plan to limit Allen's rushing attempts? 9. Knox/Kincaid combo. Will they be on the field at the same time? 10. Will Bass have his head screwed on straight?
  8. He has a nickname, it’s “Mapletron” because he’s Canadian. On a related note, the CFL is where he’ll be next if he doesn’t perform this season.
  9. Change My Mind: Tyreek Hill is way more important to the Dolphins success and much more difficult to replace than Tua.
  10. I'm assuming this is just McDermott fanboying over a high profile wrestler, a sport he is enthusiastic about? I guess the equivalent would be bringing in some big time former soccer player to kick if he loved that sport instead. I give this a 0.005% chance of working out.
  11. I would say no, but because of a different reason than included in the poll. I hate sports gambling because the nonstop advertisements and discussion (even while the game is going on) is completely annoying. I just want to watch the game.
  12. I think he'll play outside sometimes, and inside other times. I think Allen trusts him, so he'll get fed targets and have a great year. I think 1k yards is possible for him. His end of season/playoffs was pretty awesome last year, and nothing seems unsustainable about him game.
  13. We’ll see. I remember defenses adjusting to Allen (e.g. preventing him from rolling out right). Texans also play a division winner schedule this year instead of a cupcake last place in the NFL schedule. In the playoffs he looked good against the Browns, but the blowout victory was because Flacco threw TWO pick-6 interceptions. And the Ravens completely shut Stroud down. He only passed for a single first down the second half of that game while the Ravens pulled away. I expect teams to take away the deep stuff from Stroud this year, and force him to dink and dunk them (similar to how defenses play Allen and Mahomes).
  14. What we need can’t be had for $10m and what is available in FA. Possibly we can use that cash in the form of a trade in the season if we have injuries (like Douglas last season).
  15. You obviously missed Nico Collins and Tank Dell last year. Big reason why Stroud had a great rookie season.
  16. Top 5 in the AFC? It's an interesting thought experiment. If I could swap WR, TE, and RB with the following teams then I would (considering only talent, not cap hits). 1. Miami 2. Cincinnati 3. Browns (especially if Chubb is still good after injury) 4. Texans Teams where I think it's basically equal: 1. Baltimore 2. Colts 3. Chiefs 4. Jets (they could be in the next group up, it's close) So I guess if someone put us at the very top of that second group we would be top 5. Not sure I agree though.
  17. His stepdad says he’s always been like this. I think he’s just mentally ill.
  18. About the same volume stats except: - Less interceptions and a lower interception percentage. I think this for two reasons: Gabe Davis is gone, offense is going to be more dink and dunk - Lower YPA - Lower “air yards”
  19. I’m pretty sure Dolphins fans know Allen is better than Tua.
  20. It makes zero sense to cut Von Miller, retool year or not with the dead cap it would incur. He also took a voluntary pay cut. As for Jones and Douglas, they are on pretty reasonable short term contracts (1 year for Douglas, 2 years for Jones) so I don't really think that is relevant to your argument. They do need to have some actual players on the roster to field a team. The point is, this year isn't the year to pretend the cap isn't real like the Saints and Rams and just blow through it like a credit card by pulling every cap lever at Beane's disposal (restructures, void year, etc). I'm pretty sure Beane literally said something like that (we need to build for now and the future). FWIW, I'm glad those older guys are gone as I agree they were washed (except maybe Morse). But as a result, this season we will have young players in starter roles. It will be a growth/development year. The Chiefs won the SB during their retool/cap reset year, and there is no reason we can't also as long as we have Allen.
  21. How are the Bears expected to be good? They were the worst team in their division last year, and this year they have a rookie QB. For every Texans with Stroud outcome, there are 9 Panthers with Bryce Young outcomes.
  22. I’m pretty tired of Romo. Also, they 100% scheduled this so Taylor Swift could attend. It’s not like some conspiracy. When she attends games, the ratings go up. And it also pulls in viewers that they didn’t already have, which is huge for them.
  23. I don’t really understand the people hoping to light future cap on fire to make the team marginally better this season. The defense opening day is going to look 50% different than opening day last season, and a lot of the holes are being filled with youth. It’s a retool year, and not a year to push all of our chips in. Do you really want to be the Saints? Letting good vets go every offseason because they have to do cap gymnastics?
  24. Heat should be okay at night. Baking in the sun is the biggest problem. I’ll take this as a favorable scheduling outcome.
  25. It wasn’t just one game, he struggled a big chunk of the year to the point where he lost the trust of the coaching staff. That is why I’m puzzled with the third down call there at the end of the KC playoff game. It was third and long. Should have been a quick underneath throw, a run, or an Allen keeper to pick up a chunk of it and go for it on 4th down. Poor tactics from the OC in the clutch there.
