Around the NFL - Week 10 - Sunday, November 12th

Bengals have a terrible run defense, and have all season. I'm glad we had like 6 rushing attempts last week. Offensive masterclass in outsmarting yourself by our OC. -

Am I tripping, or was that very clearly a lateral in the GB-PIT game? -
Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

Glad we traded for Douglas, because these DBs can’t stay healthy. We may legit need 2 new Safeties next season. That is going to be a big hole to fill. -
Worked great for the Pats. Also I kind of think Beane and McDermott might be a package deal. Would be surprised for just one to go.

If you are watching this game, then you might have a football problem.

Ben Solak (The Ringer) Analysis of Josh's Decisions this Year
DapperCam replied to JohnRVA's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen is tied for the lead in INTs. Hurts and Mahomes each have 1 less than him. Tua has 2 less than him. I don’t agree with the statement he’s playing way better than any other QB, but his counting stats are basically the same as all the other top QBs. One could argue he has the weakest supporting cast of the group (definitely weaker than Tua and Hurts who are supported by top 5 running games in the league). You are too critical of Allen specifically, who is playing pretty well. As opposed to the offense as a whole which is kind of bipolar. -
Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

Russell Wilson has actually played pretty well this year despite the Broncos record. His biggest issue has been taking too many sacks. This isn’t a gimme even if Miami did wax them earlier this season. -

Everybody on offense seems to be thinking a lot out there. Makes it so they aren’t reacting. Everything is disjointed. -
This guy still has a job?

This must be some reverse jinx voodoo. Trying to exorcize the demons of the 90s Bills.

Potential to Explore Josh Allen (QB) trades

Lol, what this poster said. Dead cap makes this notion impossible. Aside from that, it’s just brain dead. -

I wouldn’t target Davis if I was Allen either. Most of his picks the past 2 seasons have been targeting Davis. He has the worst catch rate on the team. -
You aren’t making any sense. Allen is playing as well as those guys. You sound like you only watch Bills games. Let’s check out Mahomes the #1 odds for MVP this weekend. 20/30, 185 yards, 2 TDs and sack fumble that turned into a Dolphins TD. I would argue that is very similar, or possibly worse than Allen’s game vs the Bengals. And the Dolphins have a terrible defense.
-
Go let him be a QB Coach for some other team. He isn’t ready for prime time.
-
If Allen has problems in his play, then all the other QBs around the league have similar or worse problems. Allen has 1 more pick than Hurts and Mahomes, but he has more passing TDs than both. He also has a higher passer rating than Hurts and Mahomes (the top MVP odds). All of the top QBs this year are turning it over a lot, not just Allen.
-
Nah, he’s just had a lot less runs

McDermott answers why we stopped uptempo offense
DapperCam replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had all night to think of an answer to this question and this is what he came up with 🤣 I think he wanted to control the time of possession to reduce stress on his gimpy defense. That doesn’t work if you can’t move the ball and you are punting anyway. -
I think it isn’t an unlikely outcome that the Bills beat the weaker part of their schedule, go 10-7 and sneak in. It won’t be impressive, but it wouldn’t surprise me either. If we lose next week that is pretty much dead in my mind.
-
I hope we win next week, but if we lose it won’t be so bad. I’ll be able to emotionally release the expectations I had from before the season and accept we likely will not be making the playoffs.

Poll: Top reason for the Offense's underperformance
DapperCam replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watch other teams, and WRs are running wide open for easy completions. I never see that with the Bills and I think it is a combination of scheme, lack of talented receivers, and Allen not pulling the trigger quickly enough (in that order of importance). -
This guy needs canned. Bills looked bad and out of sorts most of last year too. What kind of offense requires the QB to play MVP-caliber to win? An offense that is poorly schemed and poorly coached.

Is 10 Wins enough to make the playoffs? What is the path to 10 wins?
DapperCam replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
We won’t have the tie breaker at 9-8 IMO, and there will definitely be a tie at that record. -

So we need to finish better than 3 out of the following 5 teams. Really 3 out of 4 teams if you think Cincy is back to normal. Steelers (5-3): Worse than their record indicates. Probably turn back into a pumpkin Browns (5-3): Top defense in the league. Watson is a wild card. Hopefully he sinks their season. Bengals (5-3): Appear to have figured it out. Pencil them in for the first wild card spot. Jets (4-3): Never win or lose big. Not sure what to make of them. Texans (4-4): Easy remaining schedule. It is possible they finish 6-3. Very inconsistent though. Lost to the Falcons and Panthers. I think we need to really start rooting for the Steelers, Jets and Texans to start losing. Maybe a 9-8 Bills can sneak in the wild card in that case.
