  1. People here were whining about not getting elite talent. We can't really afford elite talent without maxing out our cap credit card. This is a move that is a gamble. Bosa has elite upside if he can play healthy. He also might be a swing and a miss, but the cap at one year isn't a terrible gamble.
  2. Just sayin’ if Allen’s desperation heave at the end of the AFCCG was to Ty Johnson instead of Kincaid, then we’re probably playing in the SB.
  3. I think that money is actually pretty bad for the Chargers. Harris is not a good RB. But it is just one year, so not too much risk there. I don’t think Cook can draw much from this deal.
  4. His play last year was definitely worth $4m. He led the team in receiving TDs, and was our best receiver in the AFCCG. Whether he would replicate that production this year remains to be seen. Definitely feels like a gut punch right now.
  5. Was Khalil Mack worth $18m last season? Probably yes, he had a good season. Will he be worth it this season after seeming like he was probably retiring? I wouldn’t bet on it.
  6. $30m guaranteed per year and up to $40m per year wasn’t affordable to a team actually competing anyway. Good for him securing the bag.
  7. He does kind of seem like he's got a screw loose.
  8. Will his price even go up if he balls out again? I say let him prove it for another season before we fork out a huge deal.
  9. Always look at the guaranteed money for the actual deal. $25m isn’t crazy at all, we’ll need to see the details to really judge.
  10. I think Mitch is okay, but he costs too much IMO. Draft a guy in the 5th round and have him be backup QB.
  11. If he wants $15m I just give him a thousand carries this season and then let him walk. If he wants to sit out, just give him Leveon Bell’s number and ask him how his career went after that. We have other more pressing needs for our limited cap space.
  12. So it’s really $18m per year guaranteed
  13. Metcalf would be the best WR on the roster. I’d move a player and our 1st for him. I could be talked into the player being Coleman, but I’d rather not.
  14. No, but not because it's KC. It's because their 2nd rounder is basically a 3rd rounder. That's bad value IMO and I'd rather just let him hold out.
  15. Feel like Williams was pretty bad in coverage this year. I remember him getting completely fooled by the slightest misdirection and losing his assignment. Thumper in the run game though.
  16. Schobel and Williams were both great. Flip a coin IMO.
  17. I don’t think usage is the most relevant thing. How important a player to an offense is a factor, but the most important factor is supply of similar players. If a player can provide 85% of what you can at $4m and you are asking for $15m then you are going to be out of luck.
  18. I think this is a good deal for both sides. It will likely be an underpay, but Shakir locks in generational wealth. He’ll have another kick at the can in his 20s for another good deal.
  19. It’s about the market for their labor. Supply and demand dictates the price.
  20. I think this is just a coaching strategy, and this is the sort of messaging that they think Coleman will respond to. They want him to take the off-season seriously. I wouldn’t read too far into it…
  21. I'll give the Bills management the 2023 season playoffs, because I don't think any coaching can overcome the ridiculous number of injuries we had on defense that postseason. The other years were a normal amount of injuries, they have no excuses there.
  22. I wouldn’t really blame any player that wanted to switch teams as long as they didn’t screw us on the way out (tank their trade value, sit out, air grievances to the press, kill us with a huge dead cap hit, etc). It’s his life, and he can pretty much do as he pleases within the confines of his contract IMO. I do think if the Bills were in the NFC we’d have been in 1 or 2 SBs in the past 6 seasons.
  23. They have high profile athletes host sometimes, so it’s plausible. His episode would have crazy ratings, so it would be smart from the perspective of SNL.
  24. Wait, what was the lie? There was hard evidence that was shared with the Dolphins. Martin is just trying to reframe things all these years later because it made him look like a wuss.
