  1. I'm the odd one out here but want the Bengals to win. Don't want the press to sell the storyline that Burrow could do what Josh couldn't. They can then lose to the Rams in the SB. I know the TV screen isn't a great guide but that looks like a bad spot to me.
  2. I don’t think it says anymore about their relationship with McDermott than their relationship with Josh, to be honest.
  3. What do we do if he chokes again next year?
  4. Misery lasts for different amounts of time for different people. Really we need to announce a new OC to distract us from 13 seconds.
  5. He’ll get the cereal that Josh tells him to get and no excuses.
  6. But isn’t that the case of every hire? We hope it pays off but who knows if it does or not. Pederson was mentioned earlier in the thread but he eventually oversaw a dumpster fire in Philadelphia which tipped Wentz over the edge towards hatred of the guy - what if that happens with Josh? We hope it doesn’t. As he has overseen the development of Josh and our offensive game I would be fine, more than happy, with Dorsey as OC. If he moves to the Giants then my pick would be Bill Musgrave. Either way, as long as Josh is involved in the process and 100% happy with the outcome, considering the limitations which may be in place such as Dorsey wanting to go, then I’m happy with that.
  7. I appreciate the logic used before with this - he’d feel more secure taking an OC role under an offensive minded HC who he’s worked successfully with for three (?) years over becoming an OC under a defensively minded HC without the same amount of support in place. He retains a support network and would be carrying less on his shoulders. In a perfect world for him, McD would probably step aside (not say Dorsey has anything against McD), Daboll takes the HC role and Dorsey is promoted to OC here but that was never going to happen.
  8. Maybe I’m cynical but I wouldn’t be surprised if Daboll had been tapped up and knew he was going pretty soon after Judge had been fired.
  9. Chiefs to beat Bengals as I don’t know if I can deal with Burrow getting a ring ahead of Josh, then Rams or 49ers beat Chiefs.
  10. From memory he’s a great fan of Josh (which sensible person isn’t) so his commentary might be quite balanced. Until he says “they should’ve deflated the ball”.
  11. Things seemed line up for us. First the Chargers and the Colts - two bad mismatches for us IMO - get kicked out in week seventeen. Then the Titans get turned over by the Bengals, alongside the two most experienced and respected QBs getting ditched in the Divisional Round. This was followed by us taking the lead against the Chiefs with just 13 seconds on the clock. We were within touching distance of the Championship game and a real possibility of making the SB. We screwed it up badly and if you think this is bad it’ll continue to haunt people at least until we win it. Will that happen under this era? Who knows - it’s clear we are excellent at claiming defeat from the jaws of victory.
  12. Three of our seven losses had less to do with Josh having an off day - Titans, Bucs (particularly second half) and Chiefs last week - and were down to our defense leaking like a sieve and/or blown plays. Steelers, Jags, Colts and Pats? Yes, definitely Josh not being at his best and parts to all of the team crumbling (to differing extents) accordingly. One key thing I’d like to see next year is no blow out losses and being able to put up more than six points against anyone.
  13. Only halfway through the thread but “anyone would die to be OC for Josh Allen” - except for Ken Dorsey, apparently.
  14. Depends how they win. And the thought of Burrow getting a SB ring before Josh…
  15. Agreed. This may just be bitterness but I feel Burrow is only excelling because of Chase. Take Chase out of the offense and I don’t think Burrow’s star would be rising so fast or far.
  16. I imagine Burrow has to be next in line, assuming the Chiefs win on Sunday? Tannehill would probably get a request before Jones too.
  17. I had a bit of a reaction to the snark yesterday but the game is starting to sink now. Credit to them - Chiefs fans had absolutely no reason to donate to Josh Allen’s charity yet they decided to do so. Massive credit to them.
  18. The praise from elsewhere is nothing but words, and empty ones at that. Pointless and meaningless. So what? We played on the greatest game ever and have nothing to show for it because yet again we decide to balls (bills?) it up in the dying seconds via horrible defensive play. This was our moment, everything was falling into place from the results of week 17 onwards (except perhaps the Bengals losing), unlike last year in the AFCCG our offense and Josh were on fire and yet again it wasn’t enough. All the platitudes, praise, ‘greatest game ever’ plaudits - the fact is we didn’t do enough.
  19. Apologies if there is a thread on this - Chiefs fans are commemorating the Play Off win over the Bills by donating money to Josh Allen’s chosen charity, The Patricia Allen. A noble and kind gesture, but did they have to take the mick by choosing to donate $13??? https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/chiefs-fans-donate-bills-josh-allen-charity/1g2wzbhzovg3n1lfpsitvcc8o2
  20. It was more of a flippant comment - that just seems to be under the franchise under different coaches and different players; we lose key games, move on.
  21. We lost - get over it and move on. Feels like the Buffalo motto in key games!
  22. And when our record in one score games this year is 0-6. Meant to say, no offence taken earlier as well.
  23. Agreed. Bully for him he got to broadcast what he thought was a great game. For me it was anything but.
  24. Agreed, I guess every fanbase is harsh on their team without giving credit to the other. We seem to be a franchise that has a spectacular number of “why” and “if only” though.
