  1. Interesting timing to announce his retirement, just as the Super Bowl favourites might be sniffing around a Cornerback.
  2. This. But better than losing.
  3. I’m interested in the moment he overtakes his current backup.
  4. Highmark looked stunning in the overhead shots which aired during the match.
  5. If fit enough, could be a way of getting Greg Mancz off the practice squad and onto the roster - for a week, at least, but if he plays well…
  6. On your last point, it feels like sometimes we make the easy, complicated. Josh's throw to Kumerow last night which was simple but messed up, the constant return to shotgun on short conversions, not managing to get to red zone after they muffed a punt on their 25. Maybe if we put the perfect game together we'll put something like 70 up against a team considering we've had issues in both games (turnovers, poor passes, strange play calls) yet still put up 72 in the first seven quarters of the season. Also, I think the first two games show that stats aren't everything, especially when it comes to the QB, as I thought Josh was more impressive against the Rams than last night. Not that he wasn't good yesterday, just thought he played better in week one, the non-fumble interception aside.
  7. I think that's the argument though. Outside of their first drive, our defense was pretty on point all night. Our offense had issues throughout the first half. We were even sticky with the first drive of the second half, with missed throws and penalties before the deep throw to Diggs.
  8. I know they won't face many defenses like ours but Willis looked like a boy trying to play a man's game at time in the fourth - and that was against our back ups. He will be in IR by the end of his first full game unless they can strengthen the OL.
  9. Watching the game back, our offense had it's struggles in the first half, outside of the series which resulted in touchdowns, and even then we had poor decision making from Josh where he was very nearly intercepted, followed by an illegal snap on the second down in the red zone before we went 17-7 up. Have to wonder how much of that was down to the switch at centre (not blaming Van Roten as it isn't his main role); definitely saw some which weren't at the perfect height or trajectory. Some of it was definitely down to decision making. Talk about hitting the ground running in the third quarter, though!
  10. I agree, but we don't always have to line up in shotgun. We seem allergic to the sneak.
  11. That's such good news considering how serious it looked last night. Obviously he's got something he'll now be dealing with; hope he's fully healed with no lasting effects soon.
  12. So I’d argue if White is ready for the trip to the Chiefs, and Dane is back straight after the bye, then we probably suck it up unless Benford and Elam look really out of their depth on Sunday. Having Dolphins, Ravens and Chiefs in three of our next four is not the best place to be in with inexperience at CB.
  13. As others said, it should be dependent on Dane’s prognosis. We don’t want to have three CBs, once White is fit, blocking the path for the promising Benford and Elam. If Dane is out for a significant amount of time then bringing in someone like Haden makes sense. The question is if he’s missing up to but perhaps not beyond the bye. Do we take the potential hit at Arrowhead or try and strengthen up before then?
  14. And that dreadful challenge flag in the first.
  15. Tainting himself with the Bills fanbase by cosying up to Brady. Thought you respected us more than that, Cole. 😉
  16. Just to be picky: Conversion on short downs tonight was a concern. We have the firepower to do it but play calling and execution did not work tonight. If we could review our challenge system it would be great. The idea is to throw the flag when there’s a good chance they’ll reverse a decision - not when they clearly got it right in the first place. That was not Josh at his best, which is actually worrying for everyone else as he was still great. It almost felt like we went from running him a lot to not running him at all. We need to be able to strike a happy medium. A very enjoyable game, injuries aside.
  17. Pulled up during the Pick Six when trying to block for Milano.
  18. Someone mentoned on what play it happened but can't remember what they said.
  19. Was feeling his elbow late on, though, when talking to Miller.
  20. Result great. Performance great. Injuries... not so great. Fingers crossed for Morse, Jackson, Phillips, Hyde and Milano on top of White, Oliver, Settle and Davis. Hope those from tonigth are ok and let's get at least SOME of them back before Sunday.
  21. Would love him to get a TD as it would have been his brother's birthday. Perhaps we're going to give it a go?
  22. If that was the case then surely defending him would be easy? As you stop the first read, and Josh wouldn't be able to adapt.
  23. Think Herbert could get up there given time. Burrow is so tentative in the pocket; he doesn't have the build of Josh or Herbert, or the footwork of Mahomes, to make it work.
  24. Being greedy but would love one more score.
  25. We've got to stop being so protective. Josh is superb but he isn't the only great player in the NFL. And the hits comment is what we've been talking about with Josh since the Rams game.
