    Don't think Mitch can be blamed for the punt here. The runs which barely went anywhere on 2nd and 3rd didn't help.

    Agreed. But it's getting to the point where I may even root for Belichick or Brady over the Browns. Wouldn't have said that in February.

    Though any team with an elite QB would say the same. Would KC trust Buechele or Henne if Mahomes went down? Stick or Daniel stepping in for the Chargers if they lost Herbert? Gabbert or Trask for the Bucs sans Brady? Would the expectation be that Love could replace Rodgers?

    Unless the offense have an off game (no real excuse) or the defense struggles to cope with those missing (more valid excuse).

    They could go 3-0 thanks to facing two teams with injury shredded secondaries. I do hope they keep their feet on the floor if they do, otherwise they'll be in for an uncomfortable landing.

    Have a gut feeling the Browns will win as Brissett seems more settled but, then again, they've had lesser defenses to face against the Jets and the Panthers, when compared to the Patriots (Belichick, more often that not, can draw up a decent offense) and the Bengals. Mitch seems to be fighting for his career in Pittsburgh already.

    I do see the temptation to try and improve at running back, but is our OL the problem with this? Could we have Jonathan Taylor at RB and still have issues running the ball because we don't create adequate routes?

    Seems a bit odd - if anything you’d expect us to bring in a RB to take Blackshear’s place. We already have Austin and Hodgins as WRs.

    I think we could have grown Blackshear into a key component moving forward, though maybe looking more at next year than this. Howard, granted. Even Knox has been more of a blocker than a receiver this year.

    Can't help but feel he might be another one where we stuck with familiarity over potential or previously proven talent - Moss over Blackshear, Sweeney over Howard.

    It's week one of Strictly - no results programme this week.

    What is shows on offense is we're clinical on the yards we gain. They don't tend to be 'dead yards' where we don't pick up points at the end of it. But I think we knew that already.

    @GunnerBill @BritBill and any other UK based Bills fans - Bills at Dolphins is the early game being shown on Sky. Late game is Packers at Buccaneers.

    Our running game is reasonable but not the top of the NFL. It is probably still the weakest side of our offense, doubly so if you consider our offensive run blocking doesn’t seem to be top tier either. Best way would be try to close off the passing routes, rush Josh and force us to run the ball - but that’s easier said than done.
