  1. I can see why they want to air Bears-Packers in the late window, but flexing it meant the early window on FOX was Seahawks-Falcons, Titans-Browns and Commanders-Vikings. As CBS have Steelers-Ravens, FOX want something to go up against it. Bengals-Bills does that job. I was thinking it was daft to flex a game involving both Burrow and Josh. Especially as the Bengals are now clinging on to last chance saloon.
  2. This may have been said but yesterday shows why there were complaints about the defense against the Texans. The offense was anaemic in the first half, but the defense kept us in it. They didn't give away a back breaking drive at the end of the half. They gave the offense time to find their footing, and stick to the original game plan. Sometimes that is required. And that was missing in Houston.
  3. Why not, if it works? It feels like coordinators often overthink play calls even if they're working. They just assume the opponents will work it out so move on. Sometimes sticking with something until proven the question's been answered is the way to go.
  4. Not the best performance, and still look messy at times - particularly on offense - but a win is a win. I thought we would be in for a low scoring defeat so am happy we've moved on to 8-4. In fairness, the NFL this season is Any Given Sunday more than ever. Teams seem so much more competitive in general... maybe except for the Titans and, to a lesser extent, the Saints... it's making for a stressful if enthralling year. The Bengals will offer a far bigger challenge for the defense but a really good job today.
  5. Not for the first time this season.
  6. Which means they'll lose to the Packers next week.
  7. I think the Texans D will hold.
  8. Makes up for the calls on the Texans O last drive.
  9. The first was unlucky. That last one borderline unforgivable.
  10. Everything looks so difficult for them on offense. His plays were keeping them in the game... until Stafford fumbled.
  11. Mills seems to protect the ball better. He knows his limitations and plays within them, rather than thinking he's better than he is.
  12. QB play overall has been pretty mediocre this year, other than individual games or plays.
  13. Can you mention Rodgers and/or Rudolph barely throwing interceptions, please? 😁
  14. And there's the interception.
  15. Typical the Texans will be the first to benefit.
  16. I hope Sauce is not seriously injured. That's the risk teams take when they go all in on one player to try and sustain success.
  17. I have little faith today. With the injuries, and general poor play even with the starters, this feels like a defeat. And it's not today and the Texans which will cost the Bills this season - those defeats to the Falcons and the Dolphins still loom large. They should be 9-2 at least. 7-4 leaves no room to manouver with a tough end of the season to come.
  18. It does but we have no one to blame but ourselves. I can accept a defeat in Houston against a tough defense, and even at home to the Pats (just) considering what has happened since but Falcons? Dolphins?
  19. ... Then we may as well sack the OC. I doubt we will, unless Josh calls for it. But we should.
  20. There's no doubt in my mind that the offense is a problem.
  21. I'm interested to see the All 22. Were there receivers to throw it to and did he have the requisite time? It didn't feel like it for the most part.
  22. I understand people saying the coaches aren't going. But if Josh goes to Pegula and calls for it to happen it will. And it felt like he was getting close to it tonight - with Brady anyway.
  23. It was the Texans. Their offense is abysmal. Getting stops is the least they should be doing against them. They're only on 6-5 because of their D. I'm not getting over excited because it took the defense, and coaches, a whole half to work out how to limit Davis Mills.
