  1. The same people that said we drafted Dorian Williams to be a backup LB. Next we will hear we signed Poona to play special teams.
  2. The more game film I watch, the more I like the pick. He’s very fast, hits hard, tackles well, & shows good instincts. Yes, he’s only 228 lbs, but he’s still 21. I don’t think we should underestimate his potential. I could see him develop into a really good LB for us. I see way more potential than I saw with Bernard. I think we’re going to have a hard time keeping him off the field.
  3. That is very wise. I’m retired now, but I kept that rule over my years running a business. My wife of 38 years also approved of that practice!
  4. If I had to grade this Superbowl, I would give it an “I” for incomplete. I really wish we could’ve seen what Philly would’ve done with 1:40 & one timeout, down 3 points.
  5. When I think of Patrick Mahomes, I picture him motioning in a forward direction, indicating a first down from defensive holding or pass interference. I think I’ve seen him do that over a hundred times already in his career.
  6. The tough part of the game deciding defensive holding call is you can probably find some type of defensive holding (or offensive holding) on more than 50% of NFL plays. But, it should be an extremely blatant & obvious defensive hold to throw a flag that basically decides the outcome of the game. That defensive holding call was not blatant or obvious. Therefore, it was a horrible call. The NFL needs to learn from basketball’s unwritten rulebook that a foul on a last second shot must be very blatant and obvious before the foul is called.
  7. Without the flag, it was 4th & 8. So yes, KC still kicks the FG. But, Philly would’ve had almost 2 minutes to go tie it up or win it. That penalty WAS the end of Philly’s chance to win. It ended the game.
  8. Nick Wright, is that you?
  9. But, but Hurt & Allen are exactly the same player! I know I read that somewhere.
  10. Instant classic instantly became not a classic.
  11. Wow, they’re going to give KC the Super Bowl with a questionable penalty!
  12. KC’s o-line is doing much better than I expected tonight. Philly’s defense hasn’t lived up to its reputation.
  13. Most teams, including Buffalo, have a hard time designing passing plays inside the 10 yard line that create open receivers. KC just had 2 of the most wide open pass plays from the 5 yard line you’ll ever see. Reid is the difference tonight.
  14. Or, go to Pro Football Focus, where they dissect every play of every game and see where Josh Allen ranks. ( spoiler alert: he’s ranked higher than both QBs in the Super Bowl).
  15. Yes they should have…that’s my point on Brown. 2 picks for many receivers end up being a TD & an incompletion for Brown. I hated going against him at Tennessee. I’m glad he’s in the NFC.
  16. My thoughts exactly. That was a great trade for Philadelphia. Brown is a game changing receiver. Diggs is good, but he’s not in the same class as Brown.
  17. So, no one can blame the 4th Super Bowl loss on you!
  18. My friend was a good friend of Troy Aikman. Troy never mentioned Irvin, but in his first few years in Dallas, he was embarrassed to be around Jimmy Johnson & Jerry Jones at parties. Both of these married guys (in their 40s) would have a few drinks and hit on girls Troy’s age (early 20s). Johnson was also notorious at Oklahoma State for chasing coeds. If Irvin is guilty, he may have learned from his former coach and owner. BTW, Troy is a good guy, who donates to sports at his old high school without having his name attached.
  19. We should sign or draft a big time WR. If we do, he will get a lot of targets & Diggs will throw his sideline tantrums about that.
  20. We went 14-4, even losing Hyde & Miller. It definitely ended poorly, but this is overreaction. We do have big contract decisions with Poyer & Edmunds. We also have crucial draft picks coming up. We can’t afford to miss our first 3 picks like I think we have for much of the last 4 drafts.
  21. Every single QB in the NFL will “regress” when he’s constantly under pressure. We absolutely need to spend our $ & first round picks getting a better OL. 2nd round picks on WR. Get Von Miller to recruit defensive free agents. BTW, we don’t need to draft the tallest OLs, we need to draft the meanest, toughest OLs.
  22. We really haven’t done well in the draft the last few years. We have had to rely on free agents to plug too many holes. Drafting late in each round is obviously a factor, but our first & second round picks in the last few drafts are not performing up to their draft slots.
  23. I was impressed that after the strip sack fumble TD gave Miami their first lead of the game (24-20), we were able to answer with 14 points to take back control of the game.
  24. McDermott asked McDaniels if Tua’s back was doing better.
  25. This was a horrible game to watch, especially after we led 17-0. It was 4 hours of stress. It seemed everything was pointing to an upset loss for us: terribly timed timeouts by us, multiple uncalled Miami delay of game, then delay of game called when we stopped them, big pass plays overturned, etc. We just couldn’t seem to catch a break all game, until that final first down call. But, a win is all that counts in the playoffs!
