The obvious litmus test is if every single person watching the game, literally millions of people, can see within 10 seconds of the play being over that it was a bad call, the call should change. The penalty on Dawkins was inexcusably terrible. It could be argued that that was the best blocking rep of all time. The DE got schooled and fell on his face.

THE COOK…IS COVERED IN CRISCO!!! -
Yeah it was Smoot and he hilariously acted like it caused an injury. You can see it on the broadcast after the penalty was called.

I was at the game. Tons of fun and lots of opportunities for Chris Brownism’s on the radio broadcast. Any highlights? -

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

Yes, Richard Sherman was offside on the FG attempt but no whistle was blown, so he played through it, swatted the ball and then blasted Carpenter in the knee. The officials then called only a 5 yard penalty and announced that Carpenter would have to be taken off the field for one play because his injury caused a 4th time out. The Bills then tried to spike the ball to then bring Carpenter back onto the field to kick the field goal, but then they got called for a delay of game after he attempted to re-enter the game, he hit the field goal, but it was ruled to have been after the play Clock had expired so they had to kick it again, and then he missed it. At the end of the game, Richard Sherman, the offender on the field goal play, completely tackled, Robert Woods on a pass play, but it was apparently legal because the quarterback was out of the pocket. This was a rule I had never heard of up to that point, and have never heard of since. -
Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread

I haven’t read this whole thread, but does anyone remember what happened the last time the bills came to Seattle? It was 2017 I think. I was at the game. It was one of the most poorly officiated games I can remember. -
Does the (possibly pretend) “hop drop tackle” rule apply on a sack? Because that sack on Purdy is about as textbook as you can get.

Come on man, both announcers were saying it was a catch, which NEVER happens. He grabs the balls with both hands and two feet in bounds. After that he basically has carte blanch to do whatever he wants with the ball going to the ground. That’s been the standard for like 8 years. It’s a coaching failure to not challenge that.

The Kincaid play is a catch all day. He gets two hands on the ball, with feet and bounds, and then he brings it into his body. It moves a little bit as he brings it into his body and lands, but they give those catches to players hundreds of times per season. Not challenging that is insane. Defensive holding on run plays is the new bad officiating trend
-
Come on. The receiver stops his route, initiates contact, and then the ball and 7 yards in front of him. That is not pass interference.

How much time goes by before they got Josh in the medical tent? Then we get a turnover and in comes trubisky for the obvious handoff. You have to know they’re gonna check him for a concussion. Get that tent up and get him in there -
