Bill Polian is 64..just 6 years younger than Nix...neither play so who gives a F about their ages? Do you think that anyonme is saying Polian is too old????

I am liking what I see in Fewell....his attitude seems 180 degrees from DJ's.....the worst thing in the world to me would not be retaining Fewell and bringing in a strong GM...JMHO

In defense of AVP, gettting the job 4 days prior to the season opener is an impossible situation. He is stuck with Shoenert's offense and a rookie line for most parts. I hope AVP is successful after this and would go "all in" betting that when he gets is next OC position his offense will look a lot different than this trainwreck.

found out today he passed away Saturday. Native Nashvillian who grew up a Bills fan and lived the highs and lows like anyone from WNY...young guy with health issues too. He got to go with a small group of us last year for his first trip to the Ralph ever.

As much negativity as Edwards gets, a lot deserved, even the biggest distractors have to admit that there have been flashes of something greater at times. So just how much is coaching? I live in Nashville TN and have for 15 years (originally from Hamburg). Having married a southerner, I have developed an appreciation for SEC football and love the Vols! So here's the example: Jonathan Crompton Crompton was the heir to Eric Ainge...was highly touted coming out of high school, etc. ..gets the reigns last year with a new OC (ever hear of that?) and played QB like a monkey trying to F&@k a football...stared down receivers, held the ball too long, poor throws, etc....this year Lane Kiffin takes over and everyone here is wondering what he did to get Crompton playing so well...confident, standing tall, etc...so, How much is coaching? What would a Mike Holmgen do for Edwards?????? makes you wonder

Or find a QB.....I say let Edwards have the job back, tell him there is no pressure and just play and lets see if he is salvageable or if we need a new direction.....

I hear you...I read into the "prediction...hopefully" and equated it to wanting Edwards to get injured...bush league...but if I took it out of context I apologize. I am as frustrated as anyone...hopefully we have a new direction after the buy week....

I can see your point...nice to have an intelligent conversation without anyone resorting to name calling(Homers, trentians, etc..).....My opinion is to let TE play out the entire year to see what he has..it's his 3rd and we have all seen signs that he can be awesome...or go the other way.....my hope is that as the line gels and gets some experience TE progresses as well...we'll see But, after all is aid and done, the only thing that matters today is beating Miami.....SQUISH THE FISH!!!!!!

When? How about when he has more than one bad game????? Why does no one acknowledge that our line got schooled last week? They are young and IMO will be great for a long time, but they got taken to town last week. TE had abot 2 seconds to throw and lost about one every other play picking the snap off the turf....as the line gets better so will the longer game. Or we can just run another young QB ot of town, draft a new one and then run him out in 3 yrs.

BS on all this negative crap...our very young an in-experienced line had a terrible game...got blitzed left and right and gave our QB about 1.5 seconds to throw....hopefully they take a lesson in it and focus on Miami and the other 12 friggin games left after that...some of you need a Midol or something...

we have not played a down in the regular season and the way people talk in the media we are getting the top pick next year.....just read the latest article on the front page and that azzclown from Providence thinks we are worse than the 0-16 Lions last year?...a big FU... The starting O in pre-season struggled, very true, but what did they play, about a game and a half total? ...not enough to judge an entire season...A 7-9 "up and coming" team in many eyes adds a top 5 receiver, but because the line, a weakspot last year, has been revamped and we fired our OC (AVP has the same playbook, terminology, etc. just a new and hopefully improved playcaller) we suck before the first snap? got my new SI mag today.....NFL preview...Dan Patrick talks with Peyton Manning who says they run a very simple offense, sometimes variations of 5-6 plays and dare people to beat them......I am of the "lets simplify and get good at it" philosophy...JMHO

How often do you see an outside OC or DC come in mid-stream...answer is never. It is simply unrealisitc to change an entire system on the fly. Promoting AVP was the only move at this point. If he is successful then he got his chance and makes the best of it. If not, then we are looking at a whole new coaching staff anyway. By the way, I am sure that that the "system" is fine. The knock I have, and I don't think I am alone here, is that the play calling was terrible...not playing to strengths, not going down field, no screens, etc....lets see what we got and enjoy the ride.

21-27 as our head coach. I could care less what he's done prior to being here. Make up some of those 6 games and get us to the playoffs and he's good in my book. DJ takes a lot of crap but he hasn't had the talent. I hope he proves the doubters wrong as changing coaches every 3-4 years just does not work. Not an apologist but if they perform to our expectations this year (playoffs), any fan with a clue should back off the DJ hate, IMHO.

My wife, a Titans fan as I married a native Nashvillian, thinks I'm crazy because I made her watch a replay of that game once with one of our good friends from our Bills backers club in Nashville, and we were cheering and yelling like it was a live game. She said it really made her understand me better after the anguish at the end. For what it's worth she has been to 3 games in the Ralph since we married in 2006 (i'm 43 so I remember XXV distinctly) and just asked me if she could wear my Poz jersey for the 09/20 Tamba game we are going up for!!!

I always liked Wire.....if you could put his sport "heart" in someone like Rob Johnson or Mike Williams the past 15 years would be different for us. Cory I hope you have an awesome season and kick butt every game except 12/27!
