Let’s expand that to in any uniform. Josh is more talented in a multidimensional way with superior leadership skills, than any QB in our lifetime. Circumstances have prevented him from SBs, but does any objective observer believe that he will be denied for much longer. He has brought an exhilaration and an air of confidence to Bills fans that has been missing for 3 decades. Thank you Terry, Brandon and Sean for bringing us this generational talent.

Don’t dismiss Lamar after 2 games. He had an incredible MVP season last year.He choked in the playoffs but he’s still a great talent. Their backs with Henry and Hill are solid plus Flowers and their two TEs(arguably the best in football) give them a good shot to win any game. Their defense will be better this week and they have a HOF kicker. They’re always dangerous.
-
They will be highly motivated either way, but the fact that they would be 0and 3 in front of a rabid fanbase with their GM, coaching staff and Lamar’s value on the line. This would be a hard assignment for any visiting team. Just my opinion. I think it’s a moot point because Dallas is a fake team and they can’t beat a talented Ravens squad. They easily could’ve been 2and 0.

Baltimore needs to win Sunday for the best interests of Buffalo. If they are 0 and 3 going into our game the energy level and desperation level will be hard to deal with in their stadium. I think they’re too talented to lose to a fake Cowboys team who will be bad for a long time after the imbecilic Dak contract.

Why is Beane dragging his feet about depth at lb? Milano went down in training camp and our guys on the depth chart are either injury prone or raw and underperformers( Spector, Morrow). We are on the precipice of being really good on defense with the reemergence of Von and Rousseau about to breakout along with good talent on the back end. Benford looks legit and Ingraham has been fine in relief of Taron. Elam is highly motivated and should be good depth. It’s time to use a draft choice to trade for a LB or sign a guy not on a roster. This can be our time.

Here’s the problem with Miami, Tua can’t win against northeastern teams in cold weather. Tua was awful before getting injured and the Bills are obviously in his head. He won’t play for at least 4 weeks if Miami really cares about him like they claim. The Jets are a soft team that crumbles with any adversity. They have one dependable receiver because Williams never plays. The O-line is far from dependable and Rogers is not as elusive as in his GB years. Their defense is just OK, nothing more. They can be run on. The Bills will beat all the teams that they should and split with the playoff teams. Anything close to even money that Buffalo wins the division should warrant betting your house.

Looking at the next 8 games leading up to the KC and SF games, I see no worse than 5 and 3. That gives us 8 and 4 if we split the home games against the 2 best teams on our schedule. The rest of the season is pretty doable and barring injuries, the East is ours to lose.

Is Josh being asked to do more than ever this year?
Eastport bills replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh is not being asked to do more, his competitive nature and killer obsession with winning drives him to takeover games and expose himself to injury. I’m sure the coaches cringe at his antics. -
I am so tired of this me first diva sucking up all the oxygen trying to make himself the center of attention. Who cares what he thinks the reason for his former teams parting company with him. He becomes a huge distraction when he doesn’t get targets. Perhaps this guy who claims he’s all about winning, could’ve had one big game in the playoffs. He fanned on a catchable ball in the KC game that would’ve helped us win. He was ordinary in the Bills comeback in the 2nd half of the season last year. He’s in a contract year and watch him cancerize the Texans if he doesn’t get the ball enough. I loved Diggs for 3 seasons but he forgot how Josh made him better and gave the Bills fanbase the finger after supporting him when the Vikes dumped him. I wish him nothing but futility, which is what he deserves.

You might have made a better case for your Jets, who never can do anything other than put their fans on suicide watch by November for 2 decades, if you finished elementary school. Just a suggestion, let someone who finished high school proof read your silly, embarrassing posts. Don’t let anyone who you care about read them.

Players that we might trade instead of release at cutdown
Eastport bills replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely, nice kid but he’s gonna kill us if he stays. -
Could we let Araiza and Worthy play a few games that count before getting into Christian values undermining our potential. The choke job against KC in the playoffs is owned by Bass, Diggs and our defense which got dominated again when it counted most. Keeping Bass is a Beane problem. Not resigning Araiza was a decision that at least a 90%of the clubs would agree with because the prospect of political backlash was not worth it. Martin will be good enough until the elements start messing with him, but he won’t be the reason we miss the playoffs, if we do.I still like our chances.

Why would you give up on a tremendous talent so soon? Didn’t he show enough last season to get fans excited with his talent both running the ball and catching it out of the backfield? He’s a matchup nightmare against safeties and lbs. He’s had some dropsies but I’m confident they’ll fix that. You need two quality backs to compete at a high level. Davis looked great against preseason camp fodder. Can he play a real game before trading a guy that’s producing.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 2
Eastport bills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brandon Beane was exposed last night for the awful decision to bring back Trubisky. If the criteria for signing a former QB is Josh’s comfort level with a buddy observing the game from the sidelines, that’s not good enough. He’s ponderous making decisions in the pocket and has to have zero confidence after being an abject failure when handed the starting job in Pitt. His new additions on defense however ,(Hardy, Andreeson, Soloman) looked solid. I also like Zack Davidson and those practice squad RBs(Gore and Evan’s) along with the drafted center and Grable on the O-line. I can only hope Josh stays healthy for 17 games. -
Don’t want to get ahead of myself with anointing this guy the next Milano, but he is a physical, high energy LB that plays the run and provides excellent coverage underneath. He also is great special teams weapon. Just covers a lot of territory. You have to be impressed with him.

Haason Reddick requests trade from Jets
Eastport bills replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The sad reality is that edge rushers are not great sack or QB pressure guys. Unless you’re counting on Smoot, Toohill, Solomon or a 36 year old Miller to emerge, it’s Rousseau and Epenesa, who last combined for 11 sacks. -

The cap is 255. You have to pay game changing players. Aside from Josh, Miller, Oliver,Dion, the rest of the roster is manageable after the Diggs cap hit. If Reddick isn’t a pulsating nut bag, he would give us a dimension that we haven’t had since Bruce. -

Good point, that might be an issue. A lot of these high end guys want long term deals and the clubs don’t want to make commitments to bad locker room characters or asstd head cases. -

Half those reactions were from people that don’t even know what production Reddick’s had and are not considering how feeble our pass rush is with regard to sacks and pressures. The other half are people that just like to be arbitrary. -

Reddick has 51 sacks since 2020 and a ton of QB pressures. Bills edge rushers don’t generate enough pressure and would benefit having a sack machine. -

This is the guy that would make our D-line a nightmare to deal with. He’s been productive wherever he’s played. Rousseau and a middle rounder could get it done.- 85 replies

Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM
Eastport bills replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
Optimism is always refreshing, but consider Morse and McGovern were part of an O-line that has been changed. Dawkins said himself he hasn’t been with the same LG for more than a year and affects production. -

Being objective, Dawkins is just Ok. He’ll dominate periodically but he also is very spotty. Brown and Torrence are potentially very solid, but Brown has to stay healthy. A word of caution before dismissing Morse, we haven’t seen McGovern play a game that counts. Yesterday he had problems with pressure up the middle. I know it’s a meaningless few series but I don’t trust Sean with personnel decisions on offense. Remember, when it counted our O-line sucked against Cinn and KC. -

This has been my knock on Sean, he has yet to provide an O -line that can support arguably the best arm talent QB in football. Couple that with his game day decision making and you have a team that comes up short every season. -

Our O-line is the biggest question mark facing this team. If McGovern cannot make a transition without a drop off, and Edwards cannot adequately replace McGovern at guard, how can we effectively present a run heavy threat to dominate with the passing game. As it is we’re throwing out all new receivers except for Shakir. Sooner or later Dawkins will show some real decline if he hasn’t already and our depth is just ordinary. I predict the rookie will be the center with McGovern back at guard before mid season.
