This deal will be a comp for Josh's contract. Jerry got worked and the Cowboys have sealed their fate for the next 5 years. How you pay this injured, underachieving gentleman more than names like Wilson, Rodgers, and Watson is indicative of the incompetence running the organization. Hopefully we can get Josh on a deal that allows us to surround him with some talent. Dallas has 6 players making just under 65%of the whole cap.

Bills D-line is just OK. They can generate pressure if they blitz, but Addison, Epenesa ,Murphy and the interior lineman can't do it effectively. Maybe if Hughes had another sack guy on the opposite side, we could get consistent pressure. The difference between getting pressure with the D-line only is huge for the LBs and the back end..

Ryan Fitzpatrick leaning toward retirement

There was plenty of that for sure, but he personifies the gunslinger in professional football. An easy guy to root for. -
Ryan Fitzpatrick leaning toward retirement

Fitz did more with his talent than the vast majority of QBs with more God-given ability. He played QB with an understanding of what defenses were trying to do and instinctively responded well. He plays with a joy and deep respect for his teammates. He was wanted by GMs for his durability and team first attitude. It's a shame he couldn't get to the post season. He's a fun watch. QBs that played behind him, benefit by his guidance. -
Micah Hyde signed to 2 yr extension - Schefter

Great news. This player along with Poyer bring the physicality a veteran has to exhibit for the young players on the roster. A solid leader who wants to win and is not obsessed with personal stats. -
Future Buffalo Bill Kyle Rudolph

Jonnu Smith is the better choice. Rudolph is on the other side of the mountain and misses games. We need availability. -
Jerry Hughes restructuring? Rumor...
Eastport bills replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great, by far the most productive D-lineman and plays his best in big spots. Bring in a quality FA to line up on the opposite side and watch everyone on the back end get better. -
Based on leverage being the best option for the next season. To me, he is not worth signing or franchising. He's coming off 2 radical ankle surgeries and hasn't been great since his rookie year. If Jerry signs him for Mahomes or Watson money the Boys will be mediocre for the foreseeable future. Couldn't happen to nicer folks.

Kyle Van Noy cut by MIA, should Bills target him?
Eastport bills replied to nato7412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love Kyle for us. He's durable, productive rushing the QB, defending the run and being a leader. Get him on a 2 yr. deal and don't look back. -
What a great loss. Always upbeat and well prepared. A talent on the field and off. Extremely likeable. We'll miss you Irv.

Joe B article speculates John Brown will be cut
Eastport bills replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brown became brittle and timid as his role as Josh's prime target became a complimentary option. He is a good receiver when he shows the ability to stay on the field and get consistent separation. He's got to show the swagger that Diggs, Beasley and Davis exhibit on GameDay. A highly motivated FA is probably the answer. -
Only 2 teams put in requests to interview Daboll
Eastport bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the notoriety of the Bills breakthrough season is generally being attributed to Josh's incredible talent and the awesome chemistry with Diggs,Beasley and Davis. The playoff game planning and play calling didn't distinguish him as special. Having said that, JA17 seems to trust him and another year with better backs and a productive TE might get him a HC look-see. He'll find out after he leaves how easy it was calling plays for a talented freakish athlete like Josh. -
Watson vs Allen.

Done what for 4 years. Win one playoff game in ot. The Bills should have won that game because Watson stunk up the field for almost 3 qtrs. Josh had no receivers other than Smoke who played poorly. As a 2nd year QB he struggled. Stats are for losers to use to make a player who doesn't win seem better. With regard to Stafford asking to be traded, after 12 years of being pedestrian and starting over with a new GM and coach who the ownership wanted to change the QB position, he asked out before dumping him. You got me. -
Watson vs Allen.

Instead of playing gotcha, ask yourself is your obsession with defending your point, which is what exactly, healthy. Move on. The Lions had had it with Stafford. He may have requested a trade after he knew there would be a new regime. What does this have to do with Watson? -
Watson vs Allen.
Eastport bills replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Big deal, they both wanted to end it. Stafford was there 12 years and wanted to leave before the new regime went a different direction. He said it was the hardest decision in his life. Far cry from Watson jumping ship after getting payed. What is this obsession with Watson?. Is this a normal reaction to an underachieving QB getting recognition from the Bills market? Let it go. -
Watson vs Allen.

Stafford didn't ask for a trade, the club didn't want him. Wentz stunk and didn't think he would be the starter. Bad examples and who cares about media gasbags approving Watson's trade requests. Could you imagine your QB giving Buffalo the finger? -
Watson vs Allen.

If you're a diehard Texan fan do you endorse your franchise QBs request. They fired the GM and the clueless coach. They want to start again building around DeSean. How do you desert your teammates after going to war with them?. The guys a good QB. A good leader not so much. -
Watson vs Allen.

Maybe you need an interpreter. I said he demanded a trade after getting a contract that is commensurate with top 3 or 4 QB in football. He has two ACL surgeries making him more vulnerable to knee injuries. These are facts Cbuscuit. -
Watson vs Allen.
Eastport bills replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What point am I missing young fella. Enlighten me. Watson is flawed by injuries and poor leadership in his resume. You want me to say he's great. Sorry I guess playoff wins or lack there of, along with demanding trades leaving your teammates out to dry, defines leadership and big time production in your eyes. -
Watson vs Allen.
Eastport bills replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I get it but at the same time the original poster said to be fair to Watson you have to dig deeper. He referenced a statistical analysis that I dismissed because Josh brings more to the equation with leadership and production. -
Watson vs Allen.
Eastport bills replied to Marvlevydraftdaygenius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With all this anger and knitpicking an inconsequential nuance in my response you might want to consider a hobby. As to Watson, you neglected the fact that he wants to jump ship when things go sideways. That’s a quality you want out of your franchise QB. By the way where's the big victories in his resume before this past lost season? -

Can't disagree, but in all fairness, there's a lot of pedestrian QB play out there.
