  1. If we allow another special teams disaster, essentially being the biggest reason for losing the Pittsburgh game, Sean and our special teams coach, should be publicly called out by Beane or our owner. This ineptitude can't happen.
  2. Fun is great, but winning championships are what this club is looking for. If you aren't multidimensional, these NFL athletes will defend you and shut you down. Josh was our primary running threat, he got shut down. The inability to run in short yardage caused that 4th down debacle. Dabol has to incorporate running with our backs to open up things for Josh. If he doesn't because he knows better, we're going to put our franchise QB vulnerable to hard hits.
  3. The things you rattled off are so obvious to fans, and made a huge difference in the game, is there anyway they don’t activate Moss next week. Besides, the guy is a better short yardage option than Motor or Breida. Arrogance is in Dabol's DNA and Sean has to be the leader who makes adjustments when his team gets victimized.
  4. Pretty good take. I was thinking the same thing. Let's hope between playcalling and O-line adjustments, we can dominate in these next two games.
  5. His fumbling is not going cost us the season but he must protect the ball better. Josh should not be the primary runner in our attack. It's bad on so many levels. Let's let him do his thing after going through progressions, and there's open space. He was an option for Dabol with playcalling and Pittsburgh was ready. We need to get away from calling his # for a few games. He took some big hits Sunday.
  6. Dabol is the offensive coordinator and puts together the game plan with Sean. They are equally responsible for the reliance on this spread offense and dismissing the running attack other than QB RPOs and delayed runs. Blaming one and not the other is counterproductive. Sean said he's responsible for making adjustments and getting our offense going. I felt it was the O-line shortcomings that he thought was the issue. Let’s see what comes of it.
  7. I hope you're right. If so, I will be guilty of overreacting to one bad performance.
  8. No because our O-line has not established they can run bock, and Daboll thinks they can get away with last year's empty set, 4and 5 receiver, quick strike offense.
  9. Why did they clear capspace? Even if you give up a draft choice or a back-up QB, bring in a veteran O-line run blocker, or a blocking TE, who can be another underneath target. I have long felt that Josh overcame poor O-line play with quick strike hookups. When he is not lights out, the shortcomings are exposed.
  10. Ford, Dawkins had scary bad games. Especially Dawkins who is clearly not ready to play left tackle on a empty set, pass happy team. Let Brown play more until Dion recovers fully.
  11. That analysis was perfect. Why do they think that putting an overwhelmed O-line in empty set formations is helping Josh get into rhythm. If they don't think Devin or Moss can provide the threat of a running attack, or our O-line can't open holes, Josh will be hard pressed to save the season. Begs the question, will Beane use some capspace to improve our O-line before it's too late.
  12. You think that our O-line performance gives you confidence going forward. Between holding penalties and Josh having to throw early or getting stripsacked, our offensive juggernaut was fortunate to score 16. We sucked in the red zone and in short yardage. The defenses we play in the east will be tough. Washington, NO, KC, Tampa and Carolina all have good D-lines.
  13. Like to know why if they only want to use Knox as a safety valve if Josh has nothing else, why they couldn't bring in a FA TE to be better blocker Ala Lee Smith. Running the ball to allow Josh to throw with more time will the key going forward. You can bet defensive coordinators will go to school on this Steelers win.
  14. They started reading their press clippings as the next big thing. Sign all your FAs, draft D-line projects and watch Josh take you to the promised land. Maybe we'll get back to the playoffs that way but we have glaring deficiencies. The big teams will eat our lunch if we can't run and get to the QB.
  15. Doesn't matter the block was missed and why pass 7yds backwards anyway. Just run it with Josh. If he doesn't make it, so be it.
  16. They couldn't get there and that was an O-line that was playing their 1st regular season game. I don't like to get too worked up about game one, but besides Sanders, who makes us better with our offseason acquisitions? No dbs, no d-tackles, no dominant run blocker, no bruising rbs. I think Trubisky is a good backup and Rousseau might get a few sacks, but we are the same club. The new punter really killed us today.
  17. Just watching Browns vs Chiefs. Their O-line and backs would dominate our defense. Why did Beane think he could win with the same pass happy offense and the same underachieving backs and O-line. We need to become multidimensional.
  18. Great assessment. Let's hope you're right about playing better on the road. Josh will not make it through the season with this approach. The O-line has to run block and Moss needs to be the short yardage option. In the NFL, you can't be predictable.
  19. This team has become predictable in short yardage with Josh on delayed runs or gadget misdirection. Beane has not delivered a bruising short yardage back with an O-line that run blocks. Josh will have to be Superman again with this offense.
  20. Allen reverted to rookie Josh in the 2nd half. The Steelers overwhelmed our O-line and smothered Josh on QB draws. If our playcalling doesn't slow down good D-lines with a decent running game Josh is going to be physically under major duress. That offensive game plan was sad. Why was Josh in empty all 2nd half. Wasn't it obvious we couldn't hold their rush long enough to allow these long patterns to get separation. Josh looked confused and his decisions were questionable. All these teams have prepared for Josh running on short yardage. We need the perception of a run game.
  21. So Star opted out last year in fear of Covid. Now he is back, unvaccinated and not practicing. Forget the vaccinated issue for now. Is this guy a waste of a roster spot.He needs to be available or go away.
  22. Listen Hapless, Josh will slide and get down to avoid punishment. I'm talking about low hits, late hits and head shots. Try and hurt our guy and take him out, the O-line will have to do what's necessary. The Steelers should be ready to deal with physicality.
  23. Anyone tries to injure Josh must be made an example of. All bets are off especially with a piece of excrement who threatens a great player and a great person like Josh.
