  1. The play calling is not good enough to beat a good defense. Josh is going to have to pull this game out of his rear end. Where is Hines. 3 games and he’s returning kicks. Sean and his offensive staff are somewhat lacking. Josh looks like he’s having problems throwing accurately. Nervous times.
  2. I think it’s sadly obvious our defense is not anything that resembles what they were earlier in the season. Poor tackling and clueless pass defense is what I see . Josh better put up big numbers .
  3. 1- pressure on Brisset even if it takes an extra rusher. 2- more touches for Hines 3- a more unpredictable offense in the RZ 4- Better decisions by Josh 5- solid run defense. If we get these things, look out for the rest of the season.
  4. I believe Dorsey has become intoxicated by Josh’s incredible talent to improvise and be successful with off schedule plays in the RZ. The problem now is that without a short yardage running attack.teams are spying 17 and collapsing coverage on the 3 receivers he trusts. It’s time to get creative and stop being predictable.
  5. Imagine a team where Daryl Lamonica was a relief QB. Kemp was a great QB for his era. The games he played against San Diego in the championships were impressive. If I had to compare him to another QB, it would another 15, Bart Starr. Kemp had a better arm but was cerebral like that.
  6. Agree with the idea that we still are a formidable team and the last 2 weeks are a hiccup we’ll recover from. Where I disagree is with confidence in the coaches. We must get more dynamic on offense and stop relying on Josh to be our running game and responsible for every big play on 3rd down or in the red zone. We must get Hines integrated and use Shakir and Knox more. On defense, how about shutting down the run and helping our beleaguered secondary. For Sean, it’s not enough that the team plays hard, we need good game day decisions. Sometimes you have to take the foot off the gas and settle for a a FG.
  7. Like I said, if we’re as good as the national media thinks, and we know we are, it’s time.to start burying people.
  8. OK this is our line in the sand game. No room for excuses with a 3and 6 team that has their backup QB. Let’s get up on them early and take away their will. We can run on this team and Josh can throw for 300plus. The defensive front must pressure and keep Chubb from controlling the clock. No excuses if we’re as good as people think.
  9. The Bills don’t run the ball until they have a lead and they’re trying to run clock, but if they’re stuffed on 1st down, it’s back to the pass. Sometimes Motor gets an underneath dump off but our screen game is nonexistent. When you think of it, the OC is asking Josh to be the run game when his receivers are covered. It’s not sustainable and an indictment of Dorsey for his unimaginative offense.
  10. They better get healthy because you don’t expect any functional secondary help on the waiver wire like AJ.
  11. I absolutely do, but the defense has to get some swagger back. Sooner than later.
  12. Putting the reason why Allen has been forcing throws aside, do you have confidence that this secondary can stop a team with a solid receiving corps? LA, Cinn(with Chase) or Miami are looming between now and playoffs.
  13. Jackson has been OK, and Johnson is great but it seems that when it’s crunch time, they grab and hold or give up receptions in the secondary. Maybe the strategy has to change as far trying to get pressure with 4 guys. This week we need run support from these young guys. Other than Hamlin and Taron, I’m not confident.
  14. So since we started the season with 2 rookies at corner and Hyde out for the year, you would think that we would go all in for some veteran leadership especially with Poyer missing time. This GM acquired Rhodes, who must have been injured because they can’t get him on the field and Hines, who we can’t integrate into our offense. Every team has injuries, but that’s where a good GM can make a difference. This is supposedly our window. Why do you think Josh is uncharacteristically throwing picks in the red zone? It’s because 27to 10 becomes 27 all and he’s trying to do too much.
  15. They have CBs but they are pedestrian at best. Where is Rhodes? With Elam dinged, we had Cam Lewis on Justin Jefferson with the game on the line. We’re counting on rookies and depth player covering big time receivers. This magnifies any Josh hiccups in the last couple weeks. By the way, these backup CBs and safeties have stunk against the run and here comes Chubb and Hunt. I’m sorry, Hamlin has been OK.
  16. In today’s NFL there’s an advantage to an offensive minded HC. Sean has brought this team to this level but he hasn’t distinguished himself as a competent gameday decision maker. The Bills will make the playoffs but will be judged as underachievers if they can’t get to the SB. He’s been deficient in raising our play defensively and has to take responsibility for that. If you are a defensive minded coach and you can’t stop the run and your secondary gets shredded, maybe it’s time for a change. When you have “13 seconds “ on your resume , the patience level is limited.
  17. Josh is a multidimensional talent that can overcome this 2 game hiccup with red zone picks. The problem is our defense is leaking oil as well. Coaches should be able to clean up the low percentage decision making and force feed an enhanced run offense with more Hines touches, but the personnel in our secondary is a problem, especially if Elam and White are out or diminished. If we ever needed quality defensive coaching it’s now.
  18. Does anyone deny Edmunds importance to this flawed defense. With his influence on the run and underneath passing game coupled with Milano, we will be competitive. The secondary must improve and get solid coaching.
  19. We’d still have enough if White and Rhodes could return to their previous talent levels or close to it. Throw in Taron and Hamlin who looks good, and we can be a lot better than what we looked like the last 2 weeks.
  20. It was obviously both a bad decision and bad throw, but what type of call was that with crossers running into a collapsing net of defenders. Naturally you’re directing an aggressive young QB into a high risk, low percentage game destroying throw. Why not throw an underneath, high percentage throw and keep moving the ball towards the goal line until they stop it. The OC has to protect Josh from himself.
  21. How about batting the ball down on 4th down instead of trying for the pick. Cam Lewis is at the heart of every big completion and should have been called for countless PIs and holding penalties. Poorly coached bad instincts would be the best description.if this the guy we have on Jefferson with the game on the line, we’re sunk.
  22. Frazier is stubborn, unimaginative and refuses to acknowledge he has inexperienced and underperforming defensive backs and safeties. How the hell do you expect to win if you’re not adjusting to this problem that the NFL sees on film. This is a Sean and Beane problem if things don’t improve. Where’s Rhodes and White already?
  23. How can you have real confidence in a team with our young secondary and a DC that doesn’t adjust to weaknesses that are being exploited. Josh’s problems in the last 2 games will be corrected but that doesn’t explain Dorsey’s reliance on Josh creating plays with 37to 40 passes and running when receivers are covered. This offense is not sustainable without establishing a run threat that slows down the rush. When is Hines going to get touches? How effective will White be, when he comes back? With all these questions how can a fan be really confident?
  24. Why would you be disappointed? Are you disappointed when the superlatives are over the top when he plays like Superman. The idea is to have a realistic reaction to a game that he crushed the team with a really bad decision. It doesn’t take away from how great a QB we have. He has to clean things up and value the ball in the red zone when he’s got points in his pocket.
  25. This is an indictment of our coaches. When are they going to incorporate this guy into the offense? Are they so deluded as to their focusing on Josh running the ball as our offensive approach? They are putting too much on this guy and he is forcing throws and if they don’t come up with some nuance in our attack, we’re finished.
