  1. When you have KeShawn Johnson debating, it’s the beginning of the end. He is an acknowledged empty head. Stephen A made that format.
  2. A better question is can anyone on defense prevent Cook from turning the corner. He is really quick and elusive. He has given the run game a real boost. His production has increased with the departure of Motor and he’s delivered. Throw in some nice short yardage runs by Harris and Murray and we’re looking at a legitimate dimension for Josh to have teams thinking about.
  3. The fact that Beane didn’t get into a bidding war for Edmunds was a no brainer. With Josh, Diggs, Miller, Morse, Dawkins, White and the safeties getting healthy % of the cap, that position didn’t warrant the money he was offered by others . You should get used to monster contracts though because players are overpaid routinely depending on whether their QBs are in their 2nd contract. Be careful diminishing Edmunds and anointing Bernard as a better option after one good game. Wait for him to average over 100 tackles a year while being the signal caller and leader of the defense and playing an average of 15 games a season for a division winner the last 3 years. I know Edmunds haters want to kick the guy in the ass after he takes a huge contract. He had “bad instincts “, didn’t make enough “splash plays”., but the guy was great last year and his teammates loved him.
  4. What is this obsession with this player? Can’t we just agree that he is the classic example of a MLB that had just enough talent and production to make generational money for his family. To those Edmunds detractors, it wasn’t his fault that we choked away the 13seconds game or got bum rushed by the Bengals, The guy saved his best performance for his walk year and catapulted himself into the highest dollar contract for anyone at his position. An American feel good story.
  5. I thought for sure they brought him in to get him on the field by now.I guess it’s taken time for him to learn the offense and the defensive signals. You’re right about Dodson being a last resort. I also want to see Williams, but playing the nickel most plays, Milano doesn’t leave the field.
  6. Great point but they should also convince this guy to slide in case he runs after getting flushed. The first game had him getting popped on designed runs.
  7. If I misunderstood your post forgive me.
  8. Who’s saying any NFL game is a gimme? I said Miami, with that highflying offense is a challenge and Washington on the road, will be a game we should win if we play like Sunday. Last year we lost the heatstroke game to Miami, the Jets, who we don’t matchup well with on the road and Minnesota in a shootout when Jefferson made a catch that rivals the most superhuman plays in NFL history. 3 losses out of 16. What’s your beef?
  9. If we continue the offensive concepts displayed against Vegas with quick release passing and running with double TE sets, we’ll dominate Washington. The Dolphins will be challenging with their passing and power running attack, but at home we will have an advantage. We can beat any team with the execution we showed Sunday.
  10. The negativity towards this great QB and savior of a franchise that was the definition of futility, is an embarrassment to every rational, objective supporter. Now is a mega talented, driven leader of a team capable of trying to do to much, of course. His performance against the Jets was his worst game since he was a rookie, but the mindless, unappreciative career defining pronouncements about his viability as a winning QB is sickening. Hopefully he doesn’t read this nonsense because this guy has given Bills fans more thrills than we’ve had in 20 long years.
  11. Seems pretty solid and quick in his reads. He will be important vs Miami and Jax. I can’t look at Dodson anymore. I hope Williams sees the field a little more.
  12. Gabe is good receiver and whether he’s a #2 or a 3, who cares. He shows when we need him(playoffs or a must win like today) Just give him some touches and he’ll produce.
  13. It’s just perplexing why loyal, intelligent fans have doubts that this guy will make the necessary adjustments. It’s not defenses, it’s the Jets front seven that can victimize our O-line because they have a great and physical secondary to smother receivers. You’ll see a different Josh going forward with better results.
  14. This is the mindless overreaction scenario to a really disappointing performance by a QB in the first game of the season. Congratulations, you uncovered the chronology of the breakdown of an All Pro QB, who went 13and 3 in a year where the team faced emotional challenges unlike any in the history of the league along with losing their best defensive player. Besides leading the league in TDs and winning the division the last 3 seasons, the guy is the unquestioned leader of the team. He deserves better than this foolishness served up by our unappreciative experts that try and cast doubt on a guy the turned this downtrodden franchise into winners. Maybe it was the risotto he ate after the Packers game that started his downward spiral. He did have a sour stomach for days after.
  15. I’m not asking for blind homerism, but at the same time you questioned the possibility of Josh being concussed by the Williams hit as an excuse for his performance. The guy plays with disregard for his safety. He should show more discipline but I guess the adrenaline of that 1st game was too much. He shouldn’t be run through the ringer by red hots like many on the board. He’s the best QB we’ve ever had and his record says he earned a pass.
  16. Nice to see a fair weather fan jump ship after a bad performance. Why does any assertion of a head injury seem like an excuse. You know Josh leaves his body on the field for this team every week. He exposed himself to some hard hits Monday night. Nice of you to crush the guy after his worst game in 5 seasons. Hopefully your friends and family are more supportive of you when you mess up.
  17. Anyone even asking the question about the value of our franchise QB deserves to relive the mediocrity we endured for the 25 years since the last SB appearance. The revolving door of futility at the QB position. The years of being the doormat of the division and celebrating a 500 season. Let those critics feel the shame of watching Josh play great football for the rest of his career, and realize it took one poor performance for them to jump ship. As a long suffering fan, these doubters don’t deserve the success that this guy will bring to the fans.
  18. Obviously Josh lost his composure for the 3rd time against the Jets defense. He let the adrenaline overload of the stadium, 1st game and pressure of being the face of the gunslinger QBs destroy his discipline of how to win in the NFL. He forgot to get down and not take punishment, ball security and throwing into low % completion coverages. I believe he will be much better for the foreseeable future. If that is the case, the dumpster fire against the Jets is a positive. He was crushed by his performance and letting his teammates down. If you believe in this guy, you know he’ll be fine.
  19. I don’t think we should give up on him because what the scouting dept. saw in him coming out is in there. He’s just not preparing well enough. At this level, talent does not guarantee playing time. Let’s hope Sean and the DB coaches can get it out of him.
  20. The hope is that he gets shamed into playing better, but it’s clear, a healthy Benford and even Jackson are better options right now. Just a whiff by Beane.
  21. Best way to deal with him. He’s bad on the practice field and his pride should be questioned. If he doesn’t respond, trade him before the deadline for a depth O-lineman or a draft pick.
  22. Did you watch the game? Cleveland’s defense was not only getting tremendous pressure on Burrows but smothering the best receiver group in the game. Now they usually have Cinci’s number, but they flustered Burrow and made him look ordinary.
  23. “Joe Cool” is a top 5 QB in the NFL. He had to get paid. His performance today against a revved up Browns defense was that of a tentative, injury compromised QB. How long this level of play lasts is anyone’s guess, but I would be a little concerned about his ability to stay healthy for the long haul.
  24. Brown has to be better but if we can run it a little it might keep edge rushers back on their heels a bit. Our guards are better than last year and I think can run with more success than last year.
  25. Jets Defense is legitimate but when they had to impose their will on beatable teams last season they were just OK. Minn.,Det. Jags, NE, Cleveland, and Seattle come to mind. With no major additions they’re the same team. They can certainly limit what we want to do, but I like our chances. I’m glad it’s away because this team likes us against the world challenges.
